Hello? I should also add it starting happening when I did the last update. thanks
Thanks Peter, we tried this, cleared the cache and tested, but it’s still jolts side-to-side. Any other thoughts? thanks.
September 13, 2013 at 4:37 am in reply to: Colour Section & Background Attachment Mobile Devices 2 #140798Ok thanks. But can you take a look at the link and see what can be done to fix? I’ve seen a few people post the same problem with the colour section. thanks.
September 5, 2013 at 10:24 pm in reply to: Colour Section & Background Attachment Mobile Devices #138550Hey cheers and thanks Kriesi!
Yes, both of those. Cheers.
Yes, did that. Still the same… Is there another setting we’ve missed? BTW, when pasted into Div/Vid (basic tab) and then I move to span, paragraph etc, the short-code is in all of them. Not sure if that matters?
Thanks,
Hey Devin,
Thanks for getting back to me. I’ve tried it and a what I got was the contents of the short code across the top of the preview. There was no button.
Did we do it wrong?
Thanks,
September 3, 2013 at 11:26 pm in reply to: Colour Section & Background Attachment Mobile Devices #138547Hi Devin, thanks for getting back to us.We’ve tried your suggestion, and it didn’t seem to to work. I’ve placed the image centre centre this is the result.
Desktop is great and shows the image as before
iPad / iPhone, since making the change it now shows no image and is showing a ‘main content’ colour
Did we make the correct change?
Not sure how http://reflection.boa.ac.uk/ went with their change? (Nice site btw, love the banner)
Many thanks Devin.
Mars.
September 2, 2013 at 6:04 am in reply to: Colour Section & Background Attachment Mobile Devices #138543Hi thanks,
It looks fine in the link you sent, but when it’s on an actual iPad or iPhone it doesn’t appear correct (The image in the colour section is there, but it’s just a section of it and it scrolls, rather than stay fixed).
If the picture is too large as you suggest, what size do you recommend reducing it too?
Thank you
September 1, 2013 at 3:33 am in reply to: Colour Section & Background Attachment Mobile Devices #138541It might help if I gave you the specific page… here’s the link http://marsmarketing.com.au/sme-marketing-brisbane/
Thanks guys,
September 1, 2013 at 3:31 am in reply to: Colour Section & Background Attachment Mobile Devices #138540Hi Ismael,
the site is http://www.marsmarketing.com.au, yes I’ve got the newest version I believe.
I’ve only got a few plugs like Yoast, and have disabled and checked, but I still have the issue.
Many thanks for looking into this.
Thanks.
thanks guys. Cheers.
Thanks Devin, Dude mentioned changing the background to white? (I thought Enfold was already white, but obviously not) and this would eliminate the grey, is there an easy way to do this safely?
Thank you.
Thanks for that. Is there a reason it would happen with one site created with Enfold, but not another site we created with Enfold? Could it be something we did in the set-up? Many thanks,
OK many thanks,
What can I say. Pure Genius! Many thanks you’ve saved me hours or work…
Also…I read a useful post from someone wanting to clone a colour section to ‘paste’ into another page. The post mentioned…first debug avia builder…how do I put the builder in debug mode? thanks,
Hi Devin, thanks for the that, will check.
Kriesi mentioned in some correspondence that an update for the issue with special headings not working properly on mobile devices was being worked on. The text in the heading ‘runs’ off the page and doesn’t drop to a second line if the heading is more than around 5 words. Do you know when the update will be ready?
Thank you.
Brilliant, thanks!
OK thanks I will check out those plugins…
I found the header in the backend, but need a bit more info on how to change it please. thank you
Also Kriesi, I noticed on your demo site that the nav menu on mobile devices is a small nav box in the top right that expands, my doesn’t do that. I’ve got a different style of menu, What have I missed, i prefer yours.?
Cheers
Hi Kriesi,
Yes and no, it did a few days ago, and now you’re demo site looks perfect. I’ve checked ours again and the google search app (not chrome search app, that’s fine) has chunks of text missing, an example is around our testimonials. There’s the image circle, then no text just white screen and then the title of the person giving the testimonial, scroll down and there’s text missing all over the place…
If then I rotate the phone to landscape, it works fine, rotate it back to portrait and it’s fixed itself and works fine. It’s really weird. If your site works, then mine should? I haven’t changed code or anything….strange.
Thanks,
Hey Kriesi,
Thanks for the post, the iOS is 6.1.4, thanks for looking into this, look forward to the update re the special heading :-)
Great theme BTW.
One other thing…
When viewing a ‘special heading’ on an iPad in portrait mode, much of the text is either cut off, or goes under other text if there are more than say six words. I would have thought it would respond and drop to two lines and not continue as one…
Here’s an example page http://marssolutions.com.au/business-marketing-plans/
Is there something that can be done, before an Enfold update?
Hi Devin,
Thanks, look forward to the update.
Cheers
Hi, this has been done, but still makes no difference to the main issue…sadly
After further investigation…my site it does work in Safari and Chrome in iOS, but oddly not in the Google App that is mainly used in iPhone to search the web.
I know that the Google App would use Chrome, but for some reason it doesn’t show everything as I’ve outlined in the above notes. I’ve also checked your demo site, and it has the same problem as my site with this Google search App. Here’s the popular app.
https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/google-search/id284815942?mt=8
Could you advise of the problem please, many thanks
Thank you, that would be good.
While on the topic…Is there code to ensure the phone number in the ‘contact us’ section is ‘clickable’ when someone is on a mobile device? I know the browser is meant to do this automatically, but it doesn’t. I’ve tried a few codes I know of, but to no avail.
Many thanks.
PS…I’ve gone to WP admin and updates, it says theme and WP are current and up-to-date.
OK thank you.
What’s the easiest way to update the theme without losing any current settings or content?
Thanks,
