    M1000000, thanks for the reply.
    This is just a sample site I’m creating as a WordPress refresher. No actual sites were left unmaintained :)
    There is no longer an Enfold download link in my Themeforest account.
    No idea why it was removed, but I have a ticket into them.
    All I want is for a Kriesi rep to check my site and say… “yes, the old version of Enfold is causing many of the WordPress features to break, so please update it.”
    But all of your points were well taken :)

    Heathcliffe, thanks for stepping in (I think).
    Please note, I’m not blaming anyone at this point.
    I simply wanted confirmation that my Enfold 2.5.4 is the cause of various WordPress issues I’m experiencing.
    That’s all. Everything else on the site is completely up to date.
    After 3 years, I decided to pick up WordPress again, and toss a quick site together with the latest release, as a refresher.
    Then I noticed my Enfold 2.5.4 was seemingly causing issues.
    My web site customer scenario was hypothetical, luckily.
    I didn’t realize I was entitled to lifetime updates of Enfold. Just found out today.
    But there is no longer an Enfold download link in my Themeforest account. No idea why it was removed, but I have a ticket in to them.
    Thanks again for the help.

    slui, thanks for your reply. Where is the download section on this site so I can grab the update?
    I would like to update the theme, but first I would like a moderator here to check my site and confirm there is an incompatibility.

    in reply to: Enfold 2.5.4 Not Working with Latest WordPress 4.7.3 #769153

    Guenni007, actually, I don’t know where to download the updates!
    And it’s only been since 2014. You would expect things not to break down so severely after just a couple of years.
    I like to put up a web site and just have it run… WORRY FREE… not constantly maintain it with upgrades.
    What would your customers think if WordPress updated itself automatically, but their site broke down because the theme was no longer compatible? Not very happy customers!
    It’s ok though, I can always use a bit of humor :)

    in reply to: Cannot Activate Enfold #768605

    Hi John,

    Same issues even after manually installing by FTP.

    The controls on the Enfold Theme Options page do not respond.

    The “Advanced Layout Editor” button does not work when editing pages.

    The Visual/Text tabs do not work on the WordPress page editor.

    The Enfold link on the WordPress menu only shows “Enfold Theme Options”. There are no other sub-items available.
    In other words – Styling / General Settings / Header / Sidebar / Footer and Theme Update are not accessible under the Enfold menu option in the left column. To reach these options, you must manually navigate to the link here:
    http://www.scostar.com/wp-admin/?page=avia#goto_header

    It seems like the Javascript is broken in WordPress. I see the following errors in the JavaScript Console (firefox)…

    When clicking on the Enfold entry in left column…
    Syntax error, unrecognized expression a[rel=]

    When clicking on Advanced Layout Editor…
    typeError: e is undefined

    Again, I am attempting to use Enfold 2.5.4 with WordPress 4.7.3

    Is there a conflict with these versions?

    Please login to see what I am talking about.

    Thanks,
    Scott

    in reply to: Buttons Look Different on Live Page #234476

    Hi Ismael,

    I simply want my buttons to appear as they to in the Layout Builder, without having to patch the css.

    Something is overriding those styles, but I have not, to my knowledge, modified button styles.

    in reply to: Gallery Thumbails Wrong Size #234473

    Hi Ismael,

    Not sure what you mean by 20%.

    I have Gallery thumbnails set to Widget (36×36). Shouldn’t they be that size?

    Instead, they are showing up as 190×190 (very large and blurry).

    To see what I mean, please scroll to the bottom of my home page, and see the gallery of doctor photos: http://www.finalsmoke.net

    in reply to: Gallery Thumbails Wrong Size #234265

    Thanks. I will try the opacity setting.

    But shouldn’t the thumbnail sizes be 36 x 36 automatically if I select that in the Gallery?

    I have not overridden any gallery sizes. Is there a bug in the Gallery element?

    in reply to: Buttons Look Different on Live Page #234263

    Hi Ismael,

    Not sure what plugin you are referring to.

    Can you be more specific?

    in reply to: Buttons Look Different on Live Page #234062

    Hi Yigit,

    Would appreciate knowing how to get my buttons to appear as they do in the Layout Builder.

    Something is overriding the styles and making them look more plain.

    Thanks!

    in reply to: Gallery Thumbails Wrong Size #234057

    Hi Josue,

    I put back the Gallery at the bottom of the page: http://www.finalsmoke.net/

    The thumbnails are much larger than the 36 x 36 that I selected.

    Also when I hover over them, they become very white and washed out. Shouldn’t they appear brighter when hovering?

    Please advise.

    in reply to: Enfold Feature Requests #233724

    I would like to see…

    Raw HTML   &   Raw JS

    These could be either standalone content elements, or custom editors within content elements.

    The wordpress Text tab allows only limited tags, and sometimes makes its own modifications to my code.
    Raw HTML would preserve the exact code I enter.

    in reply to: Promo Box HTML Editor – Strange Anomaly #233608

    Hi Josue,

    Wrong promo box.

    Look down 2 elements to the promo box with the table inside it, where it says Top Line.

    Just watch my screen capture video again, and you’ll see what continues to happen:
    http://www.finalsmoke.net/enfold_promobox/

    Thanks.

    in reply to: Promo Box HTML Editor – Strange Anomaly #233590

    Hi Josue,

    Yes, I have checked it.

    It still adds the extra nbsp’s into the HTML each time I save.

    in reply to: Promo Box HTML Editor – Strange Anomaly #233577

    I see it does not happen in that instance.

    But it does happen in the promo box on the Home page.

    Please try that one.

    Hi Josue,

    I’m using Enfold version 2.5.4.

    Issue occurs even with all plugins deactivated.

    in reply to: Logo Not Resizing After Page Refresh #233411

    This seems to have fixed the issue. Thanks.

    Browser is Firefox 27 (also happened in 26).

    in reply to: Buttons Look Different on Live Page #233036

    You will notice below how the buttons appear differently in the editor (image 1), than on the live page (image 2).

    Also notice how text which is styled with colors in editor (images 3 & 4), is black on the live page (image 2).

    This behavior includes Tabs and Accordion elements.

    Any thoughts?

    in reply to: Buttons Look Different on Live Page #233027

    If possible, I would simply like the button to appear the way it’s shown in the editor, without having to patch the css.

    Were you able to find out why it appears differently on the live page?

    Same issue with the tabs as I explained here:
    https://kriesi.at/support/topic/tabs-look-different-on-live-page/

    Text inside tabs in editor is red in first tab, blue in second tab, purple in third tab. But on live page, all tabs show only black text.

    Same issue with button inside Promo Box. Button is missing border color, gradient background, font color, etc.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Yigit,

    Link to page with button and tabs is here:

    in reply to: How to Override CSS for Tables & Input Fields? #232991

    Yes! Solved.

    in reply to: How to Override CSS for Tables & Input Fields? #232647

    Hi Ismael,

    That only removes the shadow, not the line above it. The shadow I can remove with the user interface, but the line still remains.

    You can see the remaining line here:
    http://www.finalsmoke.net/order-form-1/

    in reply to: How to Override CSS for Tables & Input Fields? #232569

    Hi Josue,

    Actually, I did have the shadow turned off :)

    Here is my page with the shadow:
    http://www.finalsmoke.net/order-form-4/

    Here is the same page without the shadow:
    http://www.finalsmoke.net/order-form-1/

    Notice that the line is in the same position where the shadow begins.

    Any thoughts?

    in reply to: How to Override CSS for Tables & Input Fields? #232549

    Excellent.
    All issues resolved.
    Thank you!

    Now… a question about Color Sections.

    Does a color section display a very light gray line at the top if it’s empty?

    I added an empty color section here to open up some white space to display my own custom div elements:
    http://www.finalsmoke.net/order-form-1/

    On another page without the color section, no line is visible (and of course the full amount of white space needed is not available to reveal all my custom div elements, but the area at the top has no line):
    http://www.finalsmoke.net/order-form-3/

    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

    in reply to: How to Override CSS for Tables & Input Fields? #232538

    Hi Josue,

    Under magnification, I see that the vertical line in the “select” element also contains a custom image with up & down arrows…

    select element

    Any idea what might be putting the image there?

    in reply to: How to Override CSS for Tables & Input Fields? #232531

    Great. The form fields are now the correct colors.

    The initial table style you wrote did not work, but I was able to make the table background transparent by making a small change to your code.

    Here is what worked (I moved the word table to the right side, instead of table#fstable)…

    #fstable, table, caption, tbody, tfoot, thead, tr, th, td {
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
    border: 0;
    outline: 0;
    width: 285px;
    line-height: normal;
    font-size: 100%;
    vertical-align: baseline;
    border-collapse: True;
    background: transparent !important;
    }

    The word “important” is important :) It overrides something we cannot find apparently.

    And a small thing – the select field (to choose a state) has a very light vertical bar at the far right. No biggie but would like to get rid of it. You can see that bar in the state field here – http://www.finalsmoke.net/order-form-1/ , but it does not exist in the state field in my page before using Enfold here – http://www.quithere.com/fsmokewp/order-form/

    Thanks for your help so far, and hope we can solve it all the way!

    in reply to: How to Override CSS for Tables & Input Fields? #232523

    Hi Josue… No change.

    I think I am already applying transparent to <tr> with my table style here…

    #fstable table, caption, tbody, tfoot, thead, tr, th, td {
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
    border: 0;
    outline: 0;
    width: 285px;
    line-height: normal;
    font-size: 100%;
    vertical-align: baseline;
    border-collapse: True;
    background: transparent;
    }

    Somewhere, a light gray background (#F8F8F8) is being inserted into <tr>, or maybe individual <td>’s, or the table as a whole <table>.

    Also, something is causing the input fields to be styled with light gray borders (#E1E1E1) and fonts (#919191), ignoring my black as shown in my form field styles here…

    input.fsfield {
    border: 1px solid #000;
    color: #000;
    line-height: normal;
    padding: 2px;
    background-color: #FFF;
    font-size: 13px;
    font-family: Verdana, Arial;
    margin: none;
    }

    select.fsselect {
    border: 1px solid #000;
    color: #000;
    line-height: normal;
    padding: 2px;
    background-color: #FFF;
    font-size: 13px;
    font-family: Verdana, Arial;
    margin: none;
    }

    Any help is appreciated.

    in reply to: How to Override CSS for Tables & Input Fields? #232513

    Hmm… nope.

    tableft is my font style, which displays correctly as white.

    And tr:nth-child seems to add background color, but, I want to remove the <tr> background color and have my tables display as transparent.

    Somewhere, alternating color table rows (white/gray) are being styled, and I would like to remove that.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!
