Hi guys, just touching base to see if you read my ticket. 😀
Hi Ismael, remember when we spoke about this? and I told you that the site is not breaking?
It is actually not braking per se but I noticed something which is happening since I have compressed and joined the files. Now, whenever I am sharing a link, the preview image is not the preview image I set for example for socials or other pages.
This is what I mean. 2 different pages, same spanish flag. Why?
Can you help to understand why? This happens when I share on Whatsapp, on Facebook etc.
Thanks,
MarcoThank you Rikard :-)
Hi Victoria,
how do I use the code for the page ID 2 only?thanks,
MarcoHi Victoria,
Yes I tried the blank template option but it hides also the socket.
Can you provide me with the code to hide all the header? I will use this option :-)
Thanks,
MarcoHi Rikard
Yes there is an option to hide foot and widgets and leave the socket visible. But this will not hide the header.
I only want to keep the socket visible. Footer and header hidden.
Thanks
MarcoOk I see,
Can you help me instead with something else? The principle is the same, I need to use a search box to search rooms. How can I create a search box that it is connected via APIs to another website?
For example, I have 3 fields, city, type of room and button search. When users click on search they will be redirected to the estate agency website showing the rooms as per the city and type selected in the search box on my website. Can you please point me out?
i was told that I can be provide the APIs to do that but I have no idea how all this works.
Thanks,

I cropped the pic and used your CSS. Thank you so much, it worked perfectly :-)Regards,

added and it works :-)Could you also please check my second question about the banner resizing for mobile view? or is it simply a different pic?
This is what I cannot understand. The size of the images on all elements 1/1 pic 1/2 pic 2/5 pic etc.
They all are different.
I thought that the best way to understand what the size of an image must be is by checking the actual size of the resizing that WP applies to specific element sizes in pages. Is that correct?
Thanks
MarcoJanuary 16, 2020 at 8:04 pm in reply to: Overlap image between 2 elements or 2 color sections #1175174Hi Jordan,
is this code going to affect all pages? how is this code referring to this specific page?
Thanks,
MarcoHi Victoria,
The 80x80px has always been there, and the ics were added in the last 1 month. So if I upload new picture I will have the same issue.
Hi Victoria,
i did it but they do not change size.I did it manually on the CSS I showed you last time and the 80x80px look blurry.
Did you check my code? why do they look blurry?
Marco
Hi Basilis,
just a few points. Not much really.
And I am not worried the score per se, I am worried because i feel the website very slow.
Hi Ismael,
thank you for your answer.Apparently the site is not breaking. The scores improved a lot, from 3 to 31 on mobile, from 16 to 70 on desktop.
Still, I do not feel that the site has improved in speed. Images are almost all optimized, pages are not heavy.
Do not know what else to do.
Marco
Hi Victoria,
yes I see it now, not sure why, anyway, thanks for assisting me :-)Marco
Hi Ismael,
I see, so what your compression does is basically just joining files like all the other plugins do.I am reading the article you gave me and I see that you recommend to compress stylesheets and scripts. I had done it previously with a plugin and I could see an improve of the google speed test metrics. But I restore it to a previous backup because I actually do not know what compressing these files is actually doing.
Is it safe? what if something breaks? how do I fix an eventual break?
And why if it is recommended Enfold does not combine files automatically?
Thanks,
MarcoHi Ismael,
Yes I was aware of this Google tool. The point is why is the code not optimized?
What can happen in the code if I use a plugin? What do you suggest? plugin are useful or is it better not using them?
Also, file compression. Is it better than using a plugin and what it does exactly?
Thanks,
MarcoI tried on a test page, no color section, all the elements inside a 1/1 element. But nothing, it does not appear.
Thanks,
MarcoAmazing,
many thanks Victoria, looks nicer on the mobile now :-)Hi Victoria
I did not mean the content/sidebar ratio.I meant what size the element has to be in order the sidebar to show up on the right on a page.
Thanks,
MarcoI see, you are totally right :-)
So, I managed to have the logo smaller, but how can I make the top header height smaller? (only on mobile)For example, I set now the logo to be 45%. How can I reduce the space above and below the logo that we have created by making the logo smaller?
thanks,
MarcoHi Victoria,
I understand that I cannot use a color section if I want the sidebar correct? And what is the maximum width of the element I can use? 1/1 or smaller?
thanks,
MarcoHi Rikard,
I come back just now to this ticket after many optimizations on the site (lighter pictures – still the pics on the website are not many)Unfortunately I never resolved this issue. And I do not know what to do.
I do really need your help guys in identifying what is causing the site to be this slow. I have deactivated all the plugins and removed the PHP code but not difference. And did tests with the host (siteground) as well.
As soon as I activate the child theme everything becomes very very slow.
Could you please help?
thanks,
MarcoHi Victoria,
I had already tried this code but it did not work.Is there another solution rather than putting the code into themes/enfold/css/custom.css??
I am not very familiar with that and I would like to have all the changes via CSS code easy to reach and change again.
Thanks,
MarcoHi Yigit,
I agree with you, the image is square on desktop view.Is there any way we can hide the square image on mobile and telling the theme to show on tag and category pages the featured image which is rectangular? and this should apply to tag page as well as on category page https://www.ninserviziogratuito.co.uk/categoria/turismo
Marco
