I really like this, but is there any way to put the main menu along the top of the page with the logo below? both centered and when the logo reduces in size on scroll it stays centered?

I also received an email this morning from Envato saying that Themeforest themes and plugins are vulnerable. So thank you @laptophobo for asking the question. It looks like we should be asking about the Enfold theme AND the built-in plugins it uses, right?

Oh!! So I can just add the lines of html in with the phone number?! That would be easy. I’ll give it a try tomorrow. Thank you.

I’m not sure what’s is going on with the style.css. but I don’t have a team so it’s on me. I’ll keep an eye on it and watch on next updates.

    Thanks for your help. Lynn

Yes, it worked perfectly. Thank you Elliott!

in reply to: Custom Styling for Image with Hotspots #388784

    Hi Yigit,

Yes, it is difficult to describe. Attached is a screenshot of the map https://www.dropbox.com/s/36iy896p6t50y50/Screen%20Shot%202015-01-31%20at%209.37.14%20AM.png?dl=0

I would like to have an map marker that is transparent, then upon hover changes color. As you can see from the example, the hotspot marker keeps the viewer from being able to see the spots on the map. So if it would only show on hover, then they could see the map clearly and click when hovering on a particular campsite.

in reply to: Google Webmaster Tool Duplicate Title Tag Errors #338598

I already have Yoast installed and the canonical link is appearing in the <head>. Does that mean that I would need to set up as 301 redirects manually? I had someone else look at this who understand SEO better than I and they said it looked like the theme was creating ‘dummy’ pages and that was the problem.
Thanks for your help on this.

in reply to: Disable theme bundled version of layerslider #306464

    The code to disable Layerslider in child theme should have been add_theme_support(‘deactivate_layerslider’);
    example was missing the semi-colon

Thank you! I did that and now it’s working fine. Thanks for your help.

in reply to: Layersliders not editable after upgrade #286258

    I found it! BUT…

It is the allocated memory. I increased it to 250 Mb (somehow my wp-config was at 128mb) and now the Layersliders work and are editable.

BUT, I am not able to update the Wordfence plugin. It gives me this popular error.

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 60293120) (tried to allocate 4395608 bytes) in /home/sterling/public_html/wp-admin/includes/file.php on line 693

I thought since I increased the memory it would fix this too.

    Thanks -Lynn

in reply to: Layersliders not editable after upgrade #286251

    Hi Josue,
Sorry for the delayed response. Yes, I have tried each of the above plugins as the ‘only active plugin’ and activating any of them breaks the ability to update any Layersliders. QuickCache was turned off for these tests. I just tried them again and still no luck. If we deactivate all of the plugins then the Layerslider is editable.
I’m using version 2.8.1 of Enfold and WP 3.9.1. I updated Enfold via ftp around the 1st of May. It included updating the Layerslider folder.

in reply to: Layersliders not editable after upgrade #278597

    Hello Josue,

Thanks for your help. If I turn off all plugins, the layer slider works, but it conflicts with even my most important plugins like WPSEO by Yoast, Akismet and Quickcache.

Is there anyway to get them all to play nice?

    Thanks again,
    Lynn

Can you tell me what version of php I should be using? The host is reporting that the Multibyte String is enabled.
Here is what else they are asking/reporting:
Currently your server is running version 5.3.28. I also checked and the dom and mbstring extensions are already installed for PHP.

I removed the layerslider from my home page and now the rest of the site is up. BUT I’d like to restore them as soon as possible.
    Thanks -Lynn

in reply to: Layer Slider problem before update #259024

I’m having this issue too, when upgrading from Enfold 2.6.2 to 2.7. I loaded the entire site by ftp, then reloaded only the layerslider as you suggest above. It is not fixing it.
    Any ideas?

in reply to: Enfold Theme is Broken and has poor support #222960

Thank you for reopening the other thread, Devin. I will also be looking for some outside help on this and will let you know what we find. I’ll start with Ricahrd’s comment about 480px not being the correct screen size. Hopefully, it will be just that easy.

in reply to: Enfold Theme is Broken and has poor support #222940

Richard -the fixes offered simply do not work. The code I used was given to me by the support team. Thank you for your insight on the 480px. I’ll look into it.

I do have the right to express my concerns. Both times my topics were abruptly closed, the last time it happened just after I had asked more strongly why these snippets of code were not working. I took it to be the same as being ‘hung up on’ by customer service. I just don’t know what to think right now. Pretty much between a rock and a hardplace.

    Devin,
My mistake for not looking for what was considered ‘deep customizations’ before purchasing the theme. I guess I bought into the “Enfold is a powerful Theme that comes with an easy drag and drop admin interface.” copy of your sales-side website.

in reply to: Updating Theme and adding API Key #222051

Hey I got it! Just needed to go back into WP and activate the theme and reactivate child theme.
    Worked well, thanks
    -Lynn

    Hi Devin,
I was wondering why I had that php in my style.css. I found it referenced a the link below, so you might want to update it. http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/turn-on-custom-css-field-for-all-alb-elements/.

I have gone over all my code. I found that I had this piece of php in the child > style.css (and in the functions.php) and I’ve removed it:
    .header-button a.header-chat {link: href=”http://reservation.worldweb.com/hotel/1227″ target=”_blank” }

I also had this in twice, but when I tried removing the extra one, I would lose my social icons settings:
    .container_wrap { z-index: 1;}

The thing is that I can get the top navigation (social icons, phone and reserve now button) to work right on the laptop/pc, but not on the smartphone. BUT when I try to fix it on the smartphone or remove the layerslider it breaks. I’ve been trying to make these last two changes in the QuickCSS, since the other code has been tested and seems to be working. I did try adding this last code to the style.css as Yigit suggested, but that broke the other code too.

This site is now live so I’m a bit anxoius to get it fixed. I’m also concerned that the site seems unstable. If it is something that I did by adding code in, then I’d like to know how to go about stabilizing it. Is it possible that I have reached the extent that this theme should be customized? Sorry, I just want to have realistic expectations and a working website.

    Thanks -Lynn

    Thanks Devin,
I fixed that, but it did not resolve anything.
    -Lynn

    Hi there,
Thanks for your continued help on this. So close… but neither of these snippets or putting it into Enfold Child> style.css worked. And now the Reserve Now button which had been working on the smartphone, is no longer appearing at all.
I hate to do this (because it gets so long) but I’ve pasted all my code in the style.css below. Can you see anything wrong, conflicting or have any ideas on what to do next? Thanks again, Lynn

Thank you, Dalen550! I’m glad you liked it. The client wanted a warm and cozy color scheme and I actually had them pick out the colors via Colrd.com -it’s an awesome site!

I think the effect you are asking about was a bit of a happenstance. I used the Post slider with settings of Deactivate offset, set the preview size automatically based on the column width and the other selections were not related.

I did not use the .image-overlay { display: none!important; } as Josue suggested. So I guess I’m not sure why, but I did get the result I wanted.

    Thanks,
    -Lynn

    Hi Ismael,
Thanks for your help, but neither of these worked. I even tried a couple of variations.

For the header button -nothing happened.

For the Layerslider, nothing happened even though I changed the code from the original to the one you suggested. The #10 layersilder was still suppressed, but the other one (#18) is still showing. So I’d say it’s not reading the update.

    Thanks -Lynn
