March 18, 2014 at 11:17 pm in reply to: Advanced layout editor to build your own blog layout? #239703
I am experiencing exactly the same issue.
The only way to display the blog is by NOT using the new option “Use the advance layout editor to build your own blog posts ….”. If I select it, my blog page stays completely empty, even though I have the Blog element correctly inserted.
In my case, I HAVE TO keep the correct blog page indicated in the settings, if I don’t the Blog link on each article will point to the home page rather than the blog page. This is the reason why keeping the blog page setting to “select” is no good (link to Blog takes to home page, which is wrong).And the reason why i would like to use the advanced layout editor is that I would like to only display certain categories of posts on the blog page. Whilst with the other settings it always displays ALL posts.
Is there a solution to make the blog page work via the advance layout editor blog element?
Ok, I have found the solution. The Content Slider, available in the advanced page editor, is PERFECTLY RESPONSIVE. Even videos can be added, and everything plays just perfect at any screen size.
There are of course a few limitations coming with the Content Slider compared to the Advanced Layer Slider, however it offers high flexibility, and perfect responsiveness with text and videos.
Thanks anyway for your help.I have tried using this code as suggested.
@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) { #layerslider_4 { display: none!important; } }
This makes the whole content of the slider disappear on mobile screens, however it gets replaced by white space. I have seen other Enfold sites where the slider would just disappear under a certain size, but in my case it simply leaves white space of the same dimension as the slider, which really looks odd.
How can I fix that?Thanks, I’ll try this.
But how can I show different content when I am on a mobile screen? I understand that using the method above I can have different sliders on mobile and desktop. However layersliders are just not responsive, text gets too small and videos have similar issues.
How can I have the layer slider appear on desktop, but have different ALTERNATIVE content on mobile? By different content I mean a text box or similar, just not another layer slider.
Many thanks for your help.h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6 {
font-family: ‘Dosis’, sans-serif;
font-weight: 500;
}Wow! This really worked (in the Quick CSS)!
Many thanks!Hi Josue,
I had already tried what is suggested in that thread. In fact, adding Alef or Roboto works for me perfectly.
But adding Dosis doesn’t. If I do, the name ‘Dosis’ will appear in the drop down lists in Styling, in quotes, and if selected it will just revert to the default font.
Not sure why the suggested method works with Alef, Roboto and others, but it doesn’t work with Dosis, albeit being among Google’s fonts for quite a while.
Can you please help?Thanks.
