Steve,
I had the same issue and I have fixed it by myself. I think this is the WordPress mail issue if you are using WordPress. Here is how I fixed it:
I installed a plugin call Post SMTP, this will force to use SMTP email. Once I installed and configured, everything works on my website. Hope this helps.I have the same issue a couple days ago when I used Firefox, then I switched to Chrome, it worked fine.
Rikard,
I found out the problem. When I used Firefox, I was not able to edit. But when I used Chrome, everything is fine. So it’s the browser issue.
Thank you for your time!
LiyuRikard,
I have updated the theme to 4.8.2, but it still has the same issues, what else should I check next?
Thanks.Hi Rikard,
My site has finished the migration, you can login and check the issue now.
I have a new issue: I have manually update my Enfold theme to 4.7.3, but when I tried to switch from the child theme to the parent them, the parent theme shows the old content (I have a big update for my site when I used the child). I am not going to use the parent them, just tried to check if the parent theme working after I updated last week. The parent and child theme should display the same content, isn’t it?
Thanks.Hi Rikard,
We are in the process of migrating our site to a new hosting company, I will check again once the migrating process is finished to see if I can register. I will keep you updated.
Thanks.

Thank you for the quick response! You are right, the layerslider was not deleted, it is on my WordPress main menu, not in the plugin lists.
Thanks again!LY

Yes, I created a page called Press Release, uses blog page, select News category to display, it displays all the press release as desired.I did the same on the blog page (select technical case study category in stead), but it still display everything. I have included the login info in private content for you to take a look for me. Thank you!

Thanks again. Yes, I am using the Blog Post on the Blog page, and select which entries to display (Technical Case Studies). But the news category still displayed on the Blog page, what did I do wrong?

Thanks for your response! Where can I check if I am using Blog Post element or not? Is there any short code for which category to display on certain page? For example, category A to be displayed on Blog page, then Category B to display on News page. Everytime when we add a post, we select which category, then it will be post on that page automatically.
Thanks.

Thanks for the quick response. I did as your instructions above, there is one question I couldn’t figure out: When I pasted the whole page layout code on a new page, I couldn’t get the full width page like the sample, how can I adjust that?
Thank you again!

December 6, 2018 at 4:33 pm in reply to: enfold 4.5.1. > no dashboard update possible, not visible after ”check manual” #1041727I have the same problem. I then tried to update it with FTP, copied all the files, but once it was done, the site was broken.
November 16, 2018 at 5:07 pm in reply to: Website speed slow due to Enfold theme without a far-future expiration date #1034499Hey Guenni007,
Thank you for your input. I don’t know any website coding unfortunately, and we are very small, we got a lot of reports in the past few weeks that our website is very slow, then I came to run the speed test with GTmetrix and Pingdom and found those facts that made the site slow. Then installed Autopmitize plugin after did a lot of research, the site speed seems improving a little bit, but still has some issue. I really don’t know what else should I do actually.November 16, 2018 at 3:48 pm in reply to: Website speed slow due to Enfold theme without a far-future expiration date #1034483Yes, please see my second post above for the header setting, it includes css file, but all the testing results without a header expiration date for Enfold theme are css files. Not sure what’s going on. Then I installed Autopmize cache plugin and it fixed that issue. I am just worried that after a while and the issues come back again like before.
November 14, 2018 at 3:31 pm in reply to: Website speed slow due to Enfold theme without a far-future expiration date #1033529Hey Rikard,
Thank you for getting back to me. I did use a new plugin to fix the issue. But just curious, my site was quite fast before, but after a few updates of Enfold, it became so slow then I tested and got that report, the old cache plugin did not work anymore and I had to switch to another one. How can this happen?November 13, 2018 at 5:24 pm in reply to: Website speed slow due to Enfold theme without a far-future expiration date #1033073This is the header caching settings in my .htaccess file:

Thanks to all for your response. Actually one of our customer called yesterday and told us that our store page was a mess when he used IE browser, then we found out that issue from my computer. My IE version is Version: 11.0.9600.18762.
Here is the screenshot when using IE browser: , and here is the screenshot when using Chrome browser:
Thanks!I have this problem before when we hosted our website on Godaddy, but never happened again after we switched to another hosting company. What I did at that time was to use FTP to upload the files instead of on WordPress dashboard, because when you update on WP, there are some old files are not completely replaced or something like that, caused the site broken.
Anybody has this problem? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Hey Enfold team,
I am happy to let you know that I have fixed my site problem. Here is what I did: I deleted the Enfold folder from wp-content – theme – Enfold via FTP, uploaded the whole folder again, then activated, my site working correctly! I think this issue happened because I updated the theme through WP dashboard last time, but some of the files might not be updated correctly.
Thank you for all of your supports and I am still happy using Enfold for my site!

Hey Ismael,
I wanted to give you a quick update about my site.
I have transfered my website hosting from Godaddy to Hostgator last week. However, my problem still exists, that I still not able to save the changes after I tried to edit the contents of the website. The site still acting the same.
So the issue is not the server problem, could you image what this might be? What else should I try?
Thank you!
Liyu
Ismael,
Thanks.
I deleted the “no-white-screen” plugin and cleared all the cache files on my database when I called Godaddy customer service representative on Friday as they suggested, but still with no luck.
So far I have been trying everything to solve the problem, but it seems nobody can find the issue.
I am now in the process of changing hosting company. I will update you once my site transfers to another hosting.
Thanks.
Liyu
Ismael,
Thanks for your time. A new login information in my private content.
I also want to share some interesting testing that I did last night with you. I switched to Twenty Twelve theme and edit the page, then I saved, viewed the page and saw the new contents have been there with different browsers. Then I went back and switched to Enfold theme, to my surprised, Enfold theme did not take the changes, and still displayed the old contents. How can this happen?
Since my case is unique and I really want to solve this issue, I can renew my support license in Themeforest so that you can help me do a fully investigation, please let me know if this works for you. If you need me to call my hosting company Godaddy for any questions, I will be happy to do that.
Thanks and looking forward to your response.

Hey Ismael,
I don’t know what that file is, but when I checked with my WP dashboard, I saw under Plugins, there is a tab named “Must Use” plugin “no-white-screen.php”, which I never installed. Then I went to my Godaddy file manager to delete that file, and I still can’t save the content updates. That Must Use plugin look like this on my site:
I also tried to install an old Enfold version 3.8.4, which I am sure it worked at that time (before March this year), but now I still can’t save the contents with the older version of your theme with WordPress 4.8.
So far this what I have been trying with your team and Godaddy hosting customer service rep.:
1. Deleted all of the plugins from my site, issue not solved.
2. Re-installed the theme to an older version, issue not solved
3. Switched to WordPress default theme Twenty Twelve, issue solved, I was able to edit and save the updates. From our efforts above, my feeling is that there is something in Enfold theme conflicted with WordPress.
I love Enfold theme very much, with this theme, we can make our website very beautiful and look quite professional. But I have to say that it’s not possible to stay with this situation for too long that I am not able to update my contents. I wish you can find that issue and fix it on your next theme update.
Thank you!
Liyu
Are you able to check the error log in my post above? I checked my revision logs on my site just now and found that the last time I was able to edit & update date is April 29th, 2017. I think this information might help you find out what might cause this issue from your theme updates after that date.
Thanks!
Liyu
Ismael,
My website hosting company Godaddy customer service rep. went through all the possible setting that could cause the issue for me the other day and still can’t make it work. Then we switched to Twenty Twelve theme and was able save the editing. Here is the error log file: error_log, and here is the error_logbak: error_logbak
Thank you!
