  • Hi Support Team,

We all really need an answer to the DSGVO conform Cookie-Consent banner issue!

    Please prioritize this task!

Thanks a lot and best regards,
    Marieke

    Marieke

    Hi Rikard,

Yes, thank you. Was a Google Account problem…

    All the best,
    Marieke

    Hi Rikard,

No, that cannot be the issue, I looked into the Google Console and the API is enabled – where did you get the error message?
Apparently you do not have any other solution in this case…

    Thanks and best regards,
    Marieke

    Hi Victoria,

This would be the key: AIzaSyCbUPxHKygURhe0DCoYowY2lJwT23N1AHQ

    Best regards,

    HI Nikko,

I did create another new one and have the same issue.
I always receive this message: Could not connect to Google Maps with this API Key.

Any idea how to fix it?

Thank you very much and best regards,
    Marieke

    Hi Rikard,

Thanks for the information but that didn’t change anything regarding the https issue.
We are still recognized as “unsecure” in Chrome.
Means, that we now have to pay to fix something that should automatically work, right?
Is there anything that you can support us with in this case?

Thank you very much and best regards,
    Marieke

Just one comment on the http – https stuff: we are using a theme and didn’t think that we would have to change things manually that often. Is this normal? Shouldn’t the theme automatically update these changes in its “deep” database? I contacted Codeable for this and they told me, they need to do some changes in the database of the theme – of course I need to pay for this. Why?
I have to admit that I’m not a 100% happy with having to pay for the solution of an issue that shouldn’t be there, using a theme!

Apparently there is one link on the Engineering subpage: https://neonsee.com/engineering/

Since there are all pictures properly linked with https, it only can be the Layerslider – which I don’t know how to access that link manually as it’s imbeded via its id.
I already updated the Layerslider Plugin and took the Partners Layerslider of the page and back onto the page – no difference.

    Hi Rikard,
Ok, thanks, there was an update which I installed now – but that didn’t change anything for the unsecure issue in Chrome.
Yes, the SSL certificate is active – so far, so good – but still Chrome recognizes the website as unsecure which isn’t good for the ranking in the end as far as I know and in addition to that, it doesn’t look good to potential customers who might be visiting the website with Chrome.
Can the way we treated the website, switching the domain several times be related to the issue?

Thank you very much and best regards,
    Marieke

    Hi Rikard,

I’m still thinking about the reason of that https issue.
Actually it might have to do with the way we installed and treated the website:
    1. Our previous agency bought and installed the theme on their server, we had access to the staging to do the amendments (http://neonsee.entwicklung-bodenseecrew.de/)
    2. The agency moved the website to our Webhoster Hosteurope and named the offline: https://entw.neonsee.com
    3. We published the website and renamed domain to: http://neonsee.com
    4. I assumed the SSL certificate which was included in the webhosting package would be installed automatically which was not the case, so I did that after the website went online
    5. I changed all links manually from http to https

Can you imagine something went wrong when doing all the transferring steps?

Thanks a lot and best regards,
    Marieke

    Hi Victoria,

I’ve put in a Token and it has been verified. But obviously there’s no update on Enfold right now as far as I can see…
    We’ve version 4.5.7.
I need to fix the https issue soon! All our pages have security issues – how can we fix this???
I updated everything I could and put in the correct links manually where I could.
Why are there still security issues?

Thank you very much and best regards,
    Marieke

    Hi Rikard,

Well the previous agency that we’ve been working with, bought the Theme for us.
They just send me the complete Theme package but I cannot find any licence number in there.

Any idea where I can find it?

Thanks a lot and best regards,
    Marieke

    Hi Rikard,

How and where do I get an “Envato private token” ?

Thank you very much and best regards,

in reply to: Firefox issues with several elements #1209859

    Hi Rikard,

Yes, we have a child theme but I’m not sure wether the custom code that the previous agency added before we had some more custom code added by a codeable programmer who implemented the child theme then, is part of the child. I will have the codeable guy take a look at it – just to be on the safe side ;)

    All the best,
    Marieke

    Hi Rikard,

I run the back up right now to install the Enfold Update afterwards.
We have some custom coding implemented – will everything be transferred to the new version or do we have to renew anything afterwards?
Thanks a lot and best regards,
    Marieke

    Hi Victoria,

Please find the website information in the private content section.

    Hi Nikko,
In the meanwhile I installed Chrome on my iPhone and have the same issue.
So, it is not purely a Safari issue apparently.
I cannot scale the video down as the size of 10 MB is the lowest possible without losing quality.
I might have to outsource the video to Vimeo.

    Any other ideas on that?

Thank you very much and beste regards,
    Marieke

in reply to: Embed video mp4 and align center in mobile view #1208149

    Hi Nikko,

Yes, it seems to be a Safari problem since I just tested again on my macBook using Safari. Weird, I think I did that before on iMac and macBook and it worked properly with Safari too. Well, maybe not since it’s not working now.
A lot of people are using Safari though – how can we make it work for all browsers?

Thanks a lot and best regards,
    Marieke

in reply to: Embed video mp4 and align center in mobile view #1207736

    Hi Nikko,

Well, I highly doubt that that is the reason, as the issue apparently doesn’t exist with other android devices – it’s only an apple device issue.
And since the video is playing fine on all other screens, I wouldn’t know why this has anything to do with a server. Or do apple mobile devices need more server resources in general???

Thanks a lot and best regards,
    Marieke

    Hi Nikko,

We have trouble with another video/animation mp4 in mobile view: on our startpage there’s this color section with a video, running fine but on cell phones and tablets the video is loading super long until it starts – ugly. Any idea how to speed-up that loading time?

Thanks a lot and best regards,
    Marieke

in reply to: Embed video mp4 and align center in mobile view #1206106

    Hi Nikko,
I already used the shortcode to my understanding in the text block element. I also tried it with a code block element but same result in mobile view – tablet and cell phone – there’s only a play button visible but not the picture of the video (start picture). Any possibility to fix this???

Thank you very much and best regards,
    Marieke

in reply to: Embed video mp4 and align center in mobile view #1205421

    Hi Nikko,

No problem, thanks for the answer.
I will try the shortcode but the video element doesn’t work for me as there’s still no full screen option when using the video element unfortunatelly.
If you could one day implement that option to the video widget, that would be really helpful – I’m not the only one being of need of a full screen view option…

Thanks a lot and best regards,
    Marieke

    Hi Nikko,

Great, thanks a lot – looks good now but still the issue with NO preview picture of the video. Only the play button is visible when visiting the subpage. As soon as you plaid the video once, it shows up. Can I send you a screen shot from my cell phone, I don’t see that option here?

Thank you very much and best regards,

in reply to: Change main menu font hover color #1192544

    Hi Jordan,

The color change works but at the same time it would also change the menu item size to smaller and only when mouse over the font size appears in the size it should always stay.
Any idea why? How can I change that???

Thanks a lot and best regards,
    Marieke
