Can someone guide me through the process of replacing the header.php file? My tech person isn’t around and my site is still down after changing to version 7.2.
Thanks!

We tried making a change to FTP (default path)… can you try again, I think it may work now? (Having some cpanel issues but working on getting that information in case it still doesn’t work).

Hi Yigit, would you be able to help me get my update on with FTP? No idea how to go about that… My details are here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/need-help-ftp-updating-theme-to-v4-0-7-to-fix-fatal-error/
Thanks in advance.
For those of us who don’t understand all of this (and whose tech guy is unavailable)… how will we get 4.0.7 into our website if we can’t get access in the first place…? Help please!!!
April 27, 2017 at 10:20 pm in reply to: Image Showing in Waterfall Tests slowing down loading – from enfold gym demo? #784233Hi John,
I don’t think you’re understanding me correctly. This is NOT an image I am using, nor an image I uploaded. Thus I am wondering if it is part of the Enfold gym theme, or why it is here during the Waterfall test. I am aware it doesn’t work (hence the fact it is not in media and not existing and my website is not part of the image path). But the problem is how to get rid of it as it is appearing to slow down my home page (see Waterfall data). Is it some part of the theme I cannot erase or change (seems odd given it is supposedly a jpeg?). It clearly has a path from your guys’ material.
The only reference to this link I have found on your forums is from this post: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/slider-with-header/
Where it is listed amongst the shortcode that Rikard posted (ctrl+f the path from my original message).
What could the CSS be to change a masonry tile that just has text (title and body content) from white to a different colour? (so not an image tile)?
Hi Rikard,
Unfortunately that’s not doing anything either. The opacity level isn’t changing on the scroll. Tried to look into settings however nothing stood out as being a cause of this not working based off the previous suggestions by Ismael.
Hi Ismael,
Apologies for the delay in getting back to this (was out of the country!).
The first CSS code for changing the top header’s transparency is working, however the second/last CSS edit you suggested does not seem to be doing anything (the opacity doesn’t change when I edit the value from .1).
Any ideas?
Thank you!
Hi Ismael,
So unfortunately that just brings back a prior problem. I’ll try explaining the effect I’m trying to accomplish. Here’s my key points:
1. On some pages, I wish to have a transparent header over top of an full screen/width image.
2. On others, I wish to have a header above a full width content box..
3. I do NOT want a fully transparent header, thus I need to change the opacity… but I think this only applies to the pages where there is a picture underneath.
4. I would like the header to stick…. BUT I would like it to become MORE transparent when sliding down (compared to the initial transparency/opacity when at the very top).
Is this possible? Thanks for your assistance!
Hi Ismael,
I manged to figure this out in the meantime. However, perhaps you can help me with a similar problem.
On some pages, I have a fullscreen image at the top; however on others, I have text (such as the FAQ page, link posted privately below).
Is there a way I can have the header be “on” the images, yet “above” text on pages? I have changed from transparency to no transparency on the page settings, however it is not changing.
As per another page/user asking for help on this forum, I have turned off sticky header and have the following CSS code: #header{position: fixed !important;} ; however this looks to be preventing different headers on different pages.
Thank you,
Kyle -
