Hi Ismael,
Yes as I mentioned, I’ve done all the testing by deactivating plugins and the issue was still there. Reactivated plugins and activated the Twenty Nineteen theme, and the issue was resolved. This is why I’ve narrowed it down to the Enfold theme – with all plugins activated and Child theme activated, it doesn’t work. When all plugins are activated and basic theme activated, it works.
Thank you!! I’ll take a look. We needed to do some work on the theme to get in in compliance with WCAG 2.0 laws, so I suspect that caused the issue.
Appreciate your help!
Worked by adding the important argument.
THANK YOU!
Hi Rikard!
Removing the !important argument from #main worked! Only one problem left that I’ve just realized: The social media icons in the footer are now underlined partially. I’m looking into my Quick CSS code but if you have a quick fix, that’d be great!
Thank you!
Both work great – thank you!
June 28, 2019 at 9:24 pm in reply to: Help! Enfold causing "The site is experiencing technical difficulties" error #1114363I just tried updating a product and I got a blank screen – It’s blank instead of the “The site is experiencing technical difficulties) because I had to roll back my version of WordPress to get the site functioning at a minimum. The only way I can update the products is if I disable Enfold.
Also when I re-enable Enfold, I also get the blank screen slash error.
Lastest error shown below.
June 27, 2019 at 7:19 pm in reply to: Help! Enfold causing "The site is experiencing technical difficulties" error #1114070My problem isn’t solved yet, it just doesn’t appear to be directly related to product publishing/editing specifically. It still only happens when I have the Enfold theme activated along with Woocommerce. So, unfortunately, the problem is still there.
You can replicate the issue by activating/reactivating plugins – I believe!
SO close! Is there any way to stack and the menu items? If not, perhaps I can hide them on the mobile version only – that would be a good workaround!
Thank you!
Hi all! Unfortunately that code didn’t work and the footer is aligned all to the left.
Thanks!
Close away!
Cheers,
That’s perfect thank you!
I’m getting the hang of this but your help is SO appreciated!
We have cart.php, footer.php and functions.php that we’ve edited.
Hi Mike,
That seemed to work! Thank you so much for working through that with me. Really appreciate it!
I’m not sure I understand?
Hi Gunter,
Deactivating all my plugins did not resolve the issue.
Thanks!
Hi Mike,
Thanks for checking it out – the error didn’t show because there were “active” products available. Once I removed that product, you’ll see the No Products Found and Nothing Found error.
Additionally, once you do have an “active” product in there, there’s some sort of additional Woocommerce loop, multiplying the products in there (as indicated by the screenshot).
You’re welcome to unpublish & publish that 2019 product in there to see what each of those pages look like, but I’ve included screenshot links here as well.
The whole point of having the Shop page NOT selected under the Woocommerce settings is so that I can use the Advanced Layout Builder for the Shop page layout. I’ve been trying to figure out a workaround for that for some time now (however my current workarounds aren’t working, and I think it’s best to have a Shop page selected in those Wooocommerce settings regardless of the Advanced Layout Builder).
To recap – I’m
The site was just on a different host – we moved it from Bluehost to WP Engine – we did a direct database transfer so it shouldn’t have affected anything.
If it’ll help, I created a staging site that you can log into using the same credentials provided (just use the link provided in the private comments).
Sorry about that – new login details below!
Any ideas?
Hi Victoria,
I haven’t been able to do anything yet. What I’d like to do is fix the issue so that we can edit those images in WordPress without that error.
I did not remove the closing descriptor – I don’t know how to do that for a Child theme since the Child theme’s function.php is empty. The only way the function works in WordPress is to switch back over to the regular Enfold (non-child) theme, but we want to avoid that.
Thanks!
Hi there! On the issue of the image editing, I’m also getting the “Could not load the preview image. Please reload the page and try again.” error when I have the Enfold Child theme activated.
This is the issue being described with some options to fix:
https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/1597/wordpress-image-editor-not-working-conflictProblem is, I’m working in a child theme and don’t know exactly how to make the change to the functions.php while also working in a child theme.
Thank you in advance!
Brilliant – thank you!
Hi Mike,
You’re going to hate me but the social icons are PERFECTLY center, the problem is they are stacked instead of side-by-side. I swear I didn’t change anything – just went into the page to pull the same code to apply to the other page.
I tried re-creating what you did on the test page on my home page, but nothing happened to center them. Maybe I’m missing something?
You are correct – and that worked! Thank you!
Hmm that didn’t seem to work… (see the same link I sent previously)
Hi Jordan! Thanks for the quick response. So weird – I did try that before and it didn’t work, but it does work now!! Thank you so much!
I’m not sure I understand the question – I want to underline all text elements except the button text. Included is the link to one of the sites I’m working on for reference.
You are THE BEST. The best support team ever. Thank you!!
This is great! There’s a little bit of extra space to the right of the last icon – how would I get rid of that for just that icon?
Thanks!
