Anybody?
March 11, 2015 at 1:04 pm in reply to: Remove Border on Layer Slider/ Slider Background Color #409795Yes, Yigit. That did it.
Many thanks
Sorry, but it just occurred to me that I didn’t consider the padding of the text cell.
Hence, I increased the height of the image from 500px to 560px to account for the 30px padding at the top and bottom of the text element next to it.
As you can see, this nearly closed the gap, but there’s still a small gap of about 2-3px.
Any ideas of where I’m going wrong here?
This reply has been marked as private.Hi there,
I’m sorry that my request wasn’t clear. I’ve attached a screenshot to hopefully help you understand what I’m struggling with.As you can see, I’m working with your “Grid/Felx Row” layout element.
In the left cell, I have placed the image with the cyclists (954px x 500px).
In the right cell, I have added a text element, the exact dimensions of which I can’t be sure of. Hence I’ve wrapped the text element with <div style=”width: 100%; height: 500px;”> … </div> to give this cell some exact dimensions. So, here comes the thing. Since both, the image and the text element share the exact some height of 500px, I would naturally assume that the image aligns flush at the bottom with the text element.
Unfortunately, this is not the case. Please see the screenshot. There’s still a sizable gap of about 30-40px. Where am I going wrong here?
I thought that maybe your theme is somehow resizing the image because I can’t be sure of the exact pixel width, but when I take a screenshot of the page and crop the image out of it, it measures exactly 954px x 500px. Can you help?
I think it would be nice to give your “Grid/Flex” row element the option to work with a fixed height to make this process easier.
As always, many thanks for any pointers ….
Thanks Yigit,
That took care of the image overlay; however, the underlying link still brings up a full size version of the image. Is there a way to disable this as well? Many thanks for your help. This reply has been marked as private. Thanks Eliot. That worked.
I just noticed that the font color is different from the font color I’m using in my headers. How can I modify that?
Moreover, sine I’m using a purple background on hover, it would be very nice, if I could change the font color on hover as well. Is that possible?
I’m sorry having to bother you guys with these profane questions, but if I inspect the button using Firebug, it points me to the shortcode css,ver2. Why is that?
Again, many thanks for your time and help. I really appreciate ti.

October 4, 2014 at 1:06 pm in reply to: Icons/Formatting on Blog Post Layout without Sidebar #330188Thanks Josue,
I figured the formatting out myself by adding the code to my custom.css.
I just thought that I might have missed a way of making this adjustment within the theme’s options. Thanks anyways.
What you didn’t address is how I can eliminate these hideous Post Type Icons.
To me this feature is completely uncalled for. Users would likely understand that (i) if there’s no image, it’s a Standard Post. It won’t require this hideous pencil icon and so forth.
I love working with the Enfold theme because it enables you to create really refined, high end sites and blogs. This feature cheapens the whole theme, as it’s a giveaway for a canned site.
Please let me know how I can eliminate the code for these icons.
Many thanks
Hi Josue and thanks for your reply.
In Safari it still doesn’t look right. Both slides cling to the upper lefthand corner of the slider. Also, the font still seems to be Times New Roman instead of Georgia. Any thoughts?
Many thanks

My site isn’t live as of yet, so you would need to login to see what I mean.
Either way I have decided to change this page layout anyways and use the LayerSlider instead of a background image in a color section element. Since working with a semitransparent header isn’t possible in connection with the LayerSlider, please consider this post and request as obsolete.
Many thanks any ways.
Thanks for getting back to me Josue, but I tried that already – and now again -, but it has no effect.
Any ideas?
Thank you Yigit,
I’ve seen the different header options and I’m reasonably familiar with the different settings.
Unfortunately, the glass header settings isn’t really going to work for me in this particular instance, as it’s almost completely transparent as well;thus the effect is nearly the same as working with a complete transparent header.
The issue I’m trying to deal with is design related. I’m working with big background images, which are more or less the focal point of the majority of the pages I’m working on. Below that, I’m working with the post slider to show the latest entries of my blog. The post slider has a white background.
Now, and with that being said, I would love to keep the white header (to frame the background image if you will) but just add a touch of transparency to it, to make the background image shine through. Do you understand what I mean?
August 26, 2014 at 12:55 pm in reply to: Created New Blog Page, but default page still shows #309304I figured it out.
Needed to select the advanced blog layout option besides defining the page used for displaying the blog.
Please disregard my request and consider the issue solved.
Many thanks.
This reply has been marked as private.I’m sorry, but you guys not addressing this issue won’t make it go away.
It’s crucial to me because it’s part of my index page design. If I can’t make it work, I will have to come up with something else.
Thanks
Thanks for the quick response Yigit,
I understand how the updating via FTP works. I’m just concerned that this basically equals a complete new install and thus, I would loose all the design choices/definitions I made in the Theme’s Options section on WordPress.
I got the theme a while ago; so I’m working with version 2.4… so checking and uploading the files manually may not be feasible either.
Is this something I’d have to go through every single time there’s update now? Or is there a way to resolve this problem with the automatic update.?
Many thanks
