We’ve had trouble finding anything in the error logs. We finally got some information from our host that showed this repeated error:
29-May-2019 22:25:30 UTC] PHP Notice: Trying to get property of
non-object in /home/davhor32/elimchristianschool.org/wp-con
tent/themes/enfold/framework/php/function-set-avia-frontend.php on line
66Can you help us track down what this is and let us know how to fix it?
Thanks,

March 21, 2019 at 6:31 pm in reply to: unwanted 1px bottom boarder at color section and grid section #1081513Mike is the best!
This worked for me also to solve this persistent problem that was affecting where I could use color sections.
Thanks!
I did try a different computer and a different network as Ismael suggested and still had the problem. However, the next time I went to the sample page I had set up, the columns worked correctly for me. But I continue to have the same issue on other pages.
I was about to give up finding a solution since the problem seems to be intermittent and difficult to reproduce. But now that someone else is seeing it, too, perhaps that will give the Enfold team something more to go on.
Jan – I’ve only been able to get around this by starting with a brand new column. I’m not having any luck with with trying again on the same column. Glad that’s working for you.
So there are work arounds, but as Jan says – not very efficient.

My issue has not been with creating new columns, but with changing settings on columns once saved. I can create new columns and start over each time and this is what I have been doing because once I’ve set a background or image or border or shadow or padding, etc., etc. I am unable to change it.
I should be able to change the settings once set, rather than have to start over with a new column each time.
Again, here’s what happens – set a background, etc., save, update. Open the element back up to change to a different color or whatever, save, update. No change. Open the element back up and the original settings are still there, not the new ones. So it’s not simply a caching issue – the changes aren’t being saved.
This is a chronic problem on two different sites. This is a problem whether the columns are in a color section or stand alone.
This is super frustrating!
I’m having the problem on several pages on several sites. Here’s the most recent: See the ministries page at:
Hi Rikard,
I have an example now of this problem.
It seems that once I have made changes to columns – color, border, padding, etc. – it is impossible to change them. I make the change, save, go right back in and the setting has reverted to the original. It is a chronic problem that has happened on two different sites.I’ve learned that sometimes when a change isn’t heeded, it’s because there is a contradiction somewhere or an invalid option has been chosen, but I can’t find anything wrong.
The problem occurs with columns inside and outside of a color element.
The problem occurs if I save and go right back into the element as well as if I save and update the the page.It is not merely an issue of a change not showing due to caching – it is a matter of the change not being saved.
This is driving me nuts, any help would be appreciated.
Are they loading properly when you switch to a default theme?
I switched to a different theme and the problem persisted. They looked the same in the other theme as they do in Enfold. I guess this means it is an issue with the plug in and I should contact them. Though I would think it is an Enfold issue since I’ve seen the same problem with multiple plug-ins.Please go to the Enfold > Performance panel and check if the file compression settings are enabled. Try to disable the css or stylesheet compression temporarily.
I did check to see that the compression was off. And the problem persisted.Actually, now I can’t reproduce the issue. I was going to send you a specific page to look at. So I guess disregard, and I’ll open a new ticket it the problem recurs.
Well that would have been very helpful to send the first time! Sorry!
Still loads as in the example with a different theme enabled.
I do have the compression disabled and it’s a not a live site yet.Thanks for the info, Ismael. I was really looking for a way to get started on resolving the issue and you’ve pointed me in the right direction.
This exact issue is happening with several different plug-ins, though, so I’m still wondering if there is a setting or something in Enfold that’s preventing the style sheets from loading properly? Any thoughts on that?
Karen
Sorry, was doing a lot of work on the site today.
Here’s an example https://dev.wallerbc.org/index.php/sermons/bow-to-the-king/
I’ve had the same issues with other plug-ins but that’s the one I’m currently trying to use: Sermon Manager for WordPress
My question about the halo burst whic I’ve now learned is a sonar burst has been answered here:

This is perfect! Thank you so much.
I have an unrelated question, but I’m going to stick them here anyway. I hope you’ll have time to take a look.
About the halo burst on hover with icons – I created a topic about it at the same time as this one but no response yet –There is a halo burst around linked icons. I kinda like the burst, but it’s a little to intense on the dark footer, and I can’t see it at all on my white background. I would like to style this –
1) Can it be turned off?
2) Can I adjust the color?
3) Can I make further adjustments to size, duration, etc.
See below for a link to my website where you can see the burst in the footer, which is dark.
Thank you.Yes, added in private content.
You are the best, Mike. That worked beautifully.

Thank you so much for helping make my site great!

Here’s a screenshot of the shaving off of the circle around the icon:

Actually, Mike, there is one more thing – in several places my large icon circles appear a little shaved top or bottom. It’s inconsistent and sporadic – the best things to try to debug!
Some links below where I’m seeing it now. Occurs most often on the bottom, but sometimes also on the right. Maybe a padding issue?
Thanks, Mike – works like a charm!

Mike –
This is amazing, thank you so much.
I’m guessing to apply to all pages I just take out.page-id-3645?
And I like the pulse, but if I decided to take it out, just remove
-webkit-animation: pulse ease-in-out 2s infinite;
and
}
@-webkit-keyframes pulse {
0% {
-webkit-transform: scale(1);
}
51% {
-webkit-transform: scale(1.1);
}
100% {
-webkit-transform: scale(1);
}
}`I’m not clear on what
border-radius: 50%;
does. Is that related to the pulse or is it cleaning up the shaved edges of the icons that I mentioned?And seriously – thank you sooooooo much – super excited about this!

Hi Jordan,
Privately sending a test page as I’m actively working on the other pages.
I’ve got a work around by putting the link on the column rather than the icon so I get a faint hover effect. This is workable except when I want several icons in one column. If this is what I have to use, I would like it to be more pronounced.
I see on this test page that there is a little burst reaction on the one on the gray background. If this is the hover effect, how do I change it’s color so it’s visible on the white background, and why doesn’t it show on the gray background on my live page – New Admissions?
I also tried a custom CSS class that made the background change color on hover, but I’m not very good at CSS, so it broke the customization on my logo.
Basically, I want to use the icons instead of buttons so I need it to be really obvious to the user that those are clickable links.
The icons also get just a little shaved off on the bottom and right sides sometimes, but not always. Is there a fix for this?
I’ve gone ahead and updated the Kreisi user account on my admin site with a new password to give you access – I’ve read enough in the forum to know that’s a likely next step.
Thanks!
KarenThanks, but I managed to get FTP access and upload the demo files as described in your documentation.
I’m finally making progress, but am stuck on a couple of things.
In the construction demo, the only thing in the header is the logo and the social icons. How do you get the menu out of the header? I figured out you can put the menu below the header by adding it to the top of each page.
Ideally I would like to add a slogan to the right of the header. See image linked below. Is this possible.Also, is there a way to limit the size of text box so it doesn’t extend all the way across the page? I would like the text block in the center of the page with equal amounts of white space on either side. Just choosing columns doesn’t seem to work – I would like a 1/2 or 2/3 column, but in the middle of the page, not to the side. How can I make this happen?
Thanks,
Karen -
