Thank you, I have done that for the drop down menu, and it has worked.
The other thing on those pages, is that on my laptop on this page for example https://recoveringwholeness.com/ – the spacing around the button “I would like to connect” is nice and clear, whereas on my mobile it’s bunched up. The same happens on the About page (https://recoveringwholeness.com/about-kali-crohns-disease/) – it’s squashed on the phone (Book my free 30 min concult), and others including Journey with Me (https://recoveringwholeness.com/lets-work-together/) – “I would love to connect”.
Do you know why this is happening please?
Thank you!
Thank you I will try that now.
I went to update the theme a while back, I entered a new and valid Envato key, and then it said it would do it automatically. But it still says, when I check for updates, that it’s running the most up to date, even though I know it isn’t. Are you able to help me as to why it won’t do it automatically even after I did that please?
Thanks so much,
KaliAmazing!!! Thank you so much :)

If you compare those two to say the homepage for example (https://recoveringwholeness.com/), you’ll see they look like different sizes even though in the media library they are all the same size. Please can you explain?
Thanks :)
KaliI cleared my cache and it all seems to be working :) Whoops!
Also, I’ve just gone to change the Maximum container width under general styling and when I change it nothing happens, any ideas why please?
Hi Mike, thanks for that. I went to have a look and when I click on it to edit it shows itself right way up, so then I flip it sideways and in the thumbnail it appears right way up…strange! But a kind of fix :)
And for menu editing please:
I’ve gone to advanced styling and wasn’t sure exactly what element to edit. I tried the Main Menu links and that did nothing to the words on the menu bar (below logo)…so I’d love to know more about which ones I can play with to change different things please? Do you have an article that outlines what each one of those elements actually is for please that I can access and use for my editing?Thanks so much!
I found this article: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/menu/#toggle-id-36
But it seems to say use Main Menu Links, which didn’t change the menu buttons for me :)
Hi Mike,
Thanks again. What do you mean, the image on the front end is correct? When logged in? Because when I visit the blog it’s flipped…is that not the front end? Thanks for explaining :)

KaliHi Mike,
Thanks for that! I didn’t have layout ticked in screen options – so I’ve changed that now, thanks!
As for the site – yes I went into enfold and changed my logo to the left and menu right, but I couldn’t find where to change the font size of each menu item so that it fitted nicely. Even if I keep it centre as it is, is there a way to change the menu font and font sizes without using CSS?
And also, is there any way to set all font to be centred? Or just for specific pages/posts? And can you use bullet points with centered or not?
And in Private content just a question on one of the posts please.
Thanks so much!
Thank you :)
That worked but now it’s made the size of my image captions 16px instead of the smaller more subtle one that it automatically is…any way around this please?
Is it bad to start having so many different CSS codes?
Hi Victoria,
Please compare the font size on the screen (I’ve check on my phone too and it does the same thing – just looks more subtle) of the About page (http://recoveringwholeness.com/about-kali-crohns-disease/) versus this blog here (http://recoveringwholeness.com/goddess-on-the-go-cards/).
If you were to look in the dashboard you would see that this blog post has used two different font sizes, yet they all look the same in the blog post. However I did exactly the same with the About page (2 different font sizes to highlight), and it shows that up on the screen.
Also notice how the Blog post font is larger than the About font and it’s all the same in the dashboard.
Thanks again :)
KaliThat worked thanks :) Is there somehow one CSS code that would cover the image issues (featured image being so big, white space around individual images)? So that I don’t have as much CSS code?
Is there a reason it’s spreading the featured image when that doesn’t happen in another site with the same theme?
Cheers,
KaliOctober 5, 2017 at 10:15 pm in reply to: Blog post – no space between image and text in body #860764Have done that. In this blog for example (http://recoveringwholeness.com/desperation-to-be-fixed/) some pictures have the correct white space and then the one that’s left aligned doesn’t…hmmm.
Hi Jordan,
Thanks for that. I deactivated all my plugins one at a time and that made no difference. And then I went down the list of custom CSS deleting them and when I deleted this one: .single-big img {
width: auto !important;
margin: 0 auto;
}
it fixed the problem. However this is one that was suggested in an earlier query of mine for featured images spreading themselves across the whole page even though there measurements are smaller…so now that I’ve taken that out it’s back to HUGE featured images – you can see if you visit some of my blog posts.Do you have any suggestions please for another way of fixing the featured images so that the images within the post remain with appropriate white space around them?
Cheers.
Thank you :)
Thank you very much, it worked! I see another problem now – not sure if it’s since I did that or not – but on this page for example http://recoveringwholeness.com/i-can-heal-myself/ the image within the post closer to the bottom of the page covers part of the text and moves back into position only when you put the mouse over it.
Your help would be greatly appreciated thank you :)
Thank you!
Hi Nikko,
I just updated the theme and then went and removed the snippet of code in my General Settings to see if it had changed – but without that snippet of code it does the arrow hover over even the picture is linked to a media file. I could change link option with pictures within the post now – to say no link and that stops the hover, but it doesn’t let me change that in the feature image.
Hope this makes sense thanks. Details below.
Hi Yigit,
I have just been in again and see that problem with a new blog post. I followd your above link, but maybe because I’m working in the basic editor (not advanced) – I don’t have those link options and tabs.
I have just copied this .image-overlay { display: none!important; } into my basic CSS, but I would rather not have that for everything and be able to find another way to edit each image individually.
Do you have any solutions please?
Thanks :)
Wonderful thank you that worked :)
Transient Cleaner worked thank you :)
Hi Yigit,
I’ve had that in place for a while now and when I go in there is says:
Theme UpdatesNo Updates available. You are running the latest version! (3.4.7)
Check Manually
So it’s not showing the more recent version that you said I need – any ideas why that is? Even when I click check manually.
Thanks :)
KaliHi Yigit,
When I go into updates it says I’m running the most current version at 4.5?
Any ideas?
Hi Yigit,
Thanks for that – how do I edit my image element?
Cheers,
KaliHi,
Thanks so much for that. I did as you said and found it was my Yoast SEO plugin. So I deleted it and re-installed it and the same thing happened again. Do you have any suggestions for that, or is that something to do with Yoast?
Thanks.
All done, thanks.
Hi Rikard,
I haven’t made changes to the core file in the theme, I’ve only customised colours, fonts, sizes etc on the general layout/styling tab without playing with code and css…will an update retain the colours I’ve chosen and the font choices I’ve made on the ‘General Styling/layout’ tab?
Thanks,
