    Hi Yigit, Thanks for the info. I notice the documentation you referred me to pertains to the Enfold theme. My site uses Angular.

    Will I need to modify the code to work with my theme, or can I copy and paste exactly what’s shown in the post?

    Thank you Nick! You are AWESOME.

    I was starting to get frustrated and wonder if I was going to get help here to recover my site, but I just want to let everyone now that Nick was fantastic at recovering my hacked site. Not only did he recover it but he made sure everything was back up and running, cleaned things up, and even gave me recommendations on how to avoid this in the future. This guy really knows his stuff!

    Thank you Nick and kudos for you Kriesi for having such a well qualified guy as part of his support staff.

    Hi Nick, I password protected the wp-admin folder as a precaution against the hackers (BTW that’s not mexican mafia slang, just a restricted access message in spanish). Sorry for not providing you that pw, i thought you only needed ftp access. I will email you that so you can get in. Thanks.

    Ok, I am emailing you. Thanks!

    Hi Peter,

    I cleared the browser cache and that doesn’t help. By “reupload all wordpress files again” do you mean reinstall wordress again? If so, will there still be a connection between the new install and the existing database. I don’t want to lose all the images, settings, portfolio items, etc that I’ve published.

    Ismael, I uploaded the new version of the theme but this has not helped. I even deleted the old version of the theme off my server. But as soon as I activate Angular I get the same error from when my site first got hacked:

    Warning: html_entity_decode() [function.html-entity-decode]: charset `UTF-7′ not supported, assuming iso-8859-1 in /home/infograp/public_html/wp-content/themes/angular-new/framework/php/function-set-avia-backend.php on line 536

    Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/infograp/public_html/wp-content/themes/angular-new/framework/php/function-set-avia-backend.php:536) in /home/infograp/public_html/wp-content/themes/angular-new/framework/php/function-set-avia-backend.php on line 482

    Any idea what is going on? I’ve had to revert my site back to default (Twenty Ten) theme.

    Got it, thank you for clarifying. I don’t think I used any custom css codes so that shouldn’t be a problem.

    Will all the settings like colors, backgrounds, layout, etc. be affected when I update the theme?

    Hi Ismael,

    Not sure what you mean by “secure the customizations”, can you please clarify. I did “customize” the theme the way most people would, that is I choose colors, backgrounds, theme settings, etc. If this is what you mean by customizations then how do I “secure” these settings?

    Also, will uploading new copies of the theme files eliminate the problem? Or do you think this requires reverting to an older version of my wp database. the site is infographicsubmission(dot)com in case you want to see what is going on. FYI the wp-login screen looks hacked to so I can’t login to WP.

    Thank you for your help.
