Yes, you could try inspecting that ‘space’ with the Chrome DevTools, and see what is generating it.

Yes, it’s possible, simply use the page ID to filter it, add this to the Quick CSS:
.page-id-1114 .bg_container{ background: white !important; }

Automated i don’t think so, you’d need to manually create the easy slider, however you don’t need to re-upload the image, simply use it right from the WP Media Gallery.

That’s not an actual shortcode, it’s an image asset used in the Avia backend.

Use a category with the same name as the blog page, then redirect the category page to the blog page with a plugin like this: http://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-301-redirects/
