Ohhh, that’s too bad. Having the posts align right-left goes against common reading and it is pain to re-order every time….oh well.
Sorry, still didn’t work. Using the code with the DESC is what I currently have. The problem is that they still align newest to oldest right to left rather than left to right. I want the newest to be in the top left and oldest in the bottom right. Any more ideas?
Was a solution ever found for this? It would be great to get this working as right now I have to switch each of the publishing dates to get the order I want.
I ended up fixing this by pasting the code from page.php into single.php. They are now the same. This limits me from using the single post style, but I wanted the portfolio posts to have sidebars. I suppose it works.
This changed the order, but unfortunately they are still not listed from newest to oldest. The newest portfolio image is in the bottom left and the oldest in top right.
I also tried to change it to DSC instead, but it is still sorting right to left as newest is in top right and oldest in bottom left.
Any other ideas?February 17, 2011 at 6:06 am in reply to: Would like a headline above aricles my portfolio page #40334
I am trying to get my portfolio page to look like this: http://hopecentral.com/worship-media/sermons/
I am trying to decrease the space between the portfolio images, but the above directions do not seem to work. I had been instructed before to add this code to the bottom of style.css to fix the 3 main columns on the home page:
Now this seems to control both the 3 main column buttons and the portfolio images. Any way to decrease the portfolio box spacing without it effecting the main page buttons?February 16, 2011 at 2:34 am in reply to: Would like a headline above aricles my portfolio page #40332
If I want just one portfolio, could you explain how to hardcode a title and short description. Thanks.
I see someone doing it here: http://hopecentral.com/worship-media/sermons/February 15, 2011 at 4:38 am in reply to: Would like a headline above aricles my portfolio page #40330
Yes, I am interested in doing this as well. I just want a main title for the portfolio page not the title of every post.
Never mind, I found the problem. This piece of code was preventing box 3 from having the margin.
Sorry, but this only partially worked. I tried a couple variations of the code, but while the margin was given to box 2, box 3 is staying attached to box 2. Any more ideas?
So this centered the 3 main columns, but it also changed the margin on the footer. Is there a way to have it separate from footer?
Thanks, it worked great. One more thing, how do I adjust the spacing between the 3 main columns? They are currently all aligned to the right and next to each other with a big gap on the left.
The dark grey bg. As you can see here: http://hif.joelberthet.com/ I adjusted the size of the slider, but now want the background to be raised up. I also need to adjust the shadow image, but I recognize I can do that through the psd file.
How do you adjust the height of the black background after changing the slider size?
Maybe I am missing something or I did not make myself clear. I already knew how to adjust the width for the whole menu, just not to customize each menu item differently. As I followed the instructions above it changes the width, but it is applied to each menu item. How do you diversify the menu spacing for words that are bigger than others?January 7, 2011 at 7:46 am in reply to: Removing 'Contact' and 'Search' bars from the footer #31662
I am guessing this has changed? I deleted the entire footer.php section as an experiment and the contact form and search were still there. Any ideas?
