November 5, 2020 at 9:52 pm in reply to: Background video without using self-hosted, Vimeo or Youtube #1258736
Ismael,
Thank you so much for your reply. i apologize for my delay, I was caring for a sick family member.I completely understand why those platforms were chosen. Unfortunately, it is difficult to use these because there is a lot of stuff in the videos there is no control over. Especially the fact that YouTube shows the channel logo in the top corner, and shows related videos after, etc. Is there a way to block those? I knew of a way in the past, but YouTube blocked that.
I don’t want my video background to look bad, but self hosting means anything over a MB or two (poor quality), and it shows a loading circle, and plays poorly.
Thank you so much for all you do. Have a great day.
Thank you! Sorry for the delay – was working on another project. I will try these instructions in the next couple of days. i really appreciate your help! I apologize also for being confusing.
Would you please offer additional instruction and/or assistance? I would greatly appreciate it, Ismael
Ismael, thank you for your long-time contributions and support to the Enfold community – I actually already read over this post you refer to; I have (in the past) implemented particle.js in a Enfold site. This current file/script I am working on is different. Would you please take a look a the file I sent in private before and confirm this? I also gave login credentials to my site. I would greatly appreciate your assistance.
Thank you again for everything you do and continue to do!
Sincerely
Please help – if anyone is available. I really appreciate it! Also, please let me know if my question was too vague, or mis-stated. Thank you!
Nevermind! I was actually helpful this time :) I figured it out! Yay! Thank you…now I’ll play around with the mobile stuff. Thanks again! So much!
If you can point me to some things to maybe try, I would be so grateful! Thank you so much again!
Thank you! Such a great help! This will get me started down the right path! One last thing…I really was hoping the effect would be in the same area as the logo, rather than the area above it – like the area between the colorful ball logo and the purple hamburger menu. I hope that makes sense? The background of that area…I definitely owe you a beer (or coffer, green tea, maybe an Ayahuasca?) I put a screenshot in the private…
:)
That is my mistake. Try now, same credentials…I never clicked “save” on the add user screen – ROOKIE!!!! lol thank you!!
Peter,
I cannot thank you enough. I *think I followed everything correctly; however, it seems to be loading right above the header.
To update:
I added the code in private to the Enfold (not child) header.php (you can view it on line #66 just before the closing </head> tag.I added the
<canvas id="c" class="lineItUp">no canvas support</canvas>
to my child functions in last position. My css is in private area…and I added as “Quick CSS”I created for you an admin login (credentials in private)…would you mind taking a look – I know you are probably crazy busy, but I sincerely appreciate your help! All of you are awesome, actually.
So, basically, I want to keep the logoarea the same as it was, and just apply this affect in the header/logo area “behind” the logo…or around the logo…and full width (responsive) and same height as my header/logo container is currently.
Jordan,
I know it isn’t native…and I still can’t believe it is this difficult to do…a developer? Really? Strange how the seemingly smallest thing is such a big deal. It really is. I have tried 9 different plugins – even on the one occasion i found one that worked (ugly, but kind of worked) crashed because of Enfold conflicts. Not your fault – it was a badly coded plugin anyway.
I mean, really…a simple button or link on all images in a gallery that allows a user to download – how simple that sounds…why is this such a strange thing in the plugins world – or in Enfold?
I have almost given up on finding a solution – not I have just pure curiosity as to why this is such a hurdle to do!!! :)
Note: I have a gallery of about 375 images…I can’t create a custom shortcode/URL for each. Not sure if that is why this seems beyond the capabilities of most?

June 30, 2017 at 8:50 pm in reply to: Gravity Forms works in preview/builder, but not front-end/published #815169Yes, thank you – please see private!
Thank you – yes, the images look that way for me also – however, if I mouse over (not click) the images on my end, they re-arrange and are vertically aligned. As for debugging the .js, I have zero idea of how to do that… :) Can you just tell me what about Enfold might be causing this? I did deactivate all plugins, so i know that isn’t the cause either…
I added what I see if I mouse over my horizontal images in private
Thanks!

Victoria – Thank you for responding!
In order to see images, click through as follows:
On the first page, click “next” to see a dropdown that contains lots of options.
Next, choose option “Install”
Next, click radio button “”I’d like to see in-person training events”
Scroll down a bit, and you will see the html images I am talking about – when you mouse over them, they disappear, and re-align as vertical.Very strange. Thank you! Also, it looks like the page refreshes when you go through the form steps – it does not do this in the Gravity Forms preview mode – and not when I use a non-enfold template…so i know the issue is in the page…
Thank you!

Is someone looking into this? I would really like a simple solution…please! Thank you!
Of course! Thank you! I really appreciate you looking. It is in private area –
Thanks, i saw that post too – but I don’t want the text on the second line to be a link – I would like it to just be descriptive text (explaining the link) Like this:
Menu link <–this would be a link
Couple of words <–this would be the description of the page/sectionEnd results would maybe be like this:
I REALLY appreciate it
Thank you!Can someone please help me with this?
Thanks for the response! I appreciate you! I have tried the code listed here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/menu-descriptions/
I actually want it to look like the example the OP had on that link.
However, when I try, it breaks everything – adding that class listed fubars my functions.php file.
I have included website details and access to my site & FTP if you want to take a stab at it please! Thank you!!
You are awesome!! Well done, good friend! Very appreciated!! Cheers!
Please help – please read my last comment
Thanks – I can’t take a screenshot – it is an ajax dropdown…it disappears when I try to do a screenshot. It is simple what I am asking. Go to the new link I have provided. Add something to the cart. Next, at the top right where the cart icon is, Mouse over and you will see the cart dropdown has a blue background. I want the whole dropdown background white (solid, not transparent) and the text a slate color. I do not want to change ANY other menu/link attributes besides the cart dropdown. Thank you!
Yes, it was very late…I was delirious!! Hahaa! You guys deserve a beer for dealing with me! lol.
I sincerely appreciate you guys. Thank you again for everything. I rated honestly on Envato and closed out my comment there as well.
Thanks!
Dennis
Hello, guys,
I apologize for posting on the envato site. I currently had a VPS that I think is maybe configured incorrectly. After fighting with them for several hours last night, I decided to get another account through another provider. I realized that this issue could go on and on with no success, and no one seemed to know exactly what was causing the issues.
So, I installed wordpress, and uploaded the theme to the host/site listed in private, and voila! It works as it should. I really do not understand what went wrong, and honestly, I do not have time to research it further…maybe it was due to it being in a sub-directory? I am not sure…everything in PHP looked good, and I ran some scripts in root on the server with zero errors. I now think that particular server is possessed. Maybe a ghost? Maybe a Demon? Maybe Mickey Mouse? I don’t know…anyway, thank you for all of your help – i’ll take it from here. I knew there was an issue though…a very strange one – I had done everything right…
have a great day, friends – I’ll rate it high, and make a contribution comment in favor of you on the envato forum.
Cheers!! Have a great day!!!
I am seeing this in the error log – – – –
