Hi Jeff,
I would press it. Clearly there is a problem outside of the norm. Hopefully they will make an exception and help us out.
Best of luck, Jas
Jeff,
Have you contacted George @ (Email address hidden if logged out) ? He got back to me fairly quickly. Send him a link to this thread so he can weigh in on this.
Best, Jas
I figured it out!
#rss-4 h3, #rss-2 h3 { pointer-events: none; }
Instead of
#rss-4 a.rsswidget, #rss-2 a.rsswidget { pointer-events: none; }
I figured it out. Thanks!
#rss-4 a.rsswidget, #rss-2 a.rsswidget { pointer-events: none; }

Thank you Kriesi for your help. Would you mind clarifying this? I am concerned about this.
https://kriesi.at/support/topic/layerslider-enfold-2-6-issue-on-safari/#post-235838GRACIAS Kriesi, case closed! I’m starting on two sites for two clients soon with Enfold (of course will purchase licenses ;) ! Jas
It works now thanks but I don’t see the change in my settings. Why do my settings screenshot look the same as your settings screenshot? Did I just take that screenshot after your disabled it?

Was that it?In my slider it is deactivated. Isn’t this correct? If this setting is correct then the problem still exists. Hmm.
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1049926/Screen%20Shot%202014-03-11%20at%201.31.55%20PM.pngOnly because I changed the settings as described here https://kriesi.at/support/topic/layerslider-enfold-2-6-issue-on-safari/#post-235897
Kriesi,
George from Kreatura media support just got back to me. I have to thank him for weighing in.
He said to do simply this: “Please enable both image preload and lazy load features in layerslider global options.”
So click on the slider you are having problems with then Slider Settings > MiscSolved my issue immediately (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Mobile Safari) but I am wondering if I had several slides if this would slow down the loading of my site? Image Preload setting and Lazy load settings seem to be opposing in their definitions. Hmmm.
Thank you Kriesi for your help. Would you mind clarifying this
https://kriesi.at/support/topic/layerslider-enfold-2-6-issue-on-safari/#post-235838And for future reference answering #1 and #3 here
https://kriesi.at/support/topic/layerslider-enfold-2-6-issue-on-safari/#post-235858Also, I have a longstanding problem with the LayerSlider. I have spoken with Kreatura and they seem to think it is a theme issue. Would you mind weighing in on it here PLEEEEEASE ;)
https://kriesi.at/support/topic/mobile-site-rotation-problem/#post-235894THANK YOU for your help, Jas
This reply has been marked as private.Kriesi and Team,
In talking with George at Kreatura Media, I have discovered that this issue does not occur on kreaturamedia.com Their site works as it should upon rotation from portrait to landscape to portrait.
I see that this problem does exist however on the Enfold Theme demo site here
http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/ on the first link.. Home v1: Landing Page StyleSo I am thinking that this issue is not a plugin conflict because the issue appears on both my site and the Enfold theme demo.
Can you please look into this.
Thanks for your time, Jas
Kriesi,
I should mention I am using Enfold Child Theme 1.0 and I updated Enfold Theme not the child theme.
I’d like to preface this by saying I did not have a problem until the update this means it is a LayerSlider problem and not a plugin problem. All plugins were compatible before this update. No settings have been changed in the LayerSlider immediately before or after the latest update and no plugins have been updated at the same time as LayerSlider. Only one thing happened at the time this problem occurred, I updated Enfold. No other variables occured.
1. Disabling Plugins: I have never disabled plugins in mass before. If I disable and have to re configure every plugin when I enable them again that is going to be a lot of work. Can you detail how this process works please before I attempt? I do not want to have hours of work ahead of me.
2. You said this “…the only problem is that for some unknown reason the layerslider calculates the image height and width with 0 which basically makes them invisible.” If this is true, then why do all elements appear when resizing the window? How do they go from invisible to visible if the image hight and width is truly zero?
3. You said this “…but I will try to upload the latest 2 versions and see if something changes” The latest two versions of what? When I go to their website it says the latest version is 5.1.1 and in LayerSlider settings says I have 5.1.1 installed. Did you mean the “previous” two versions of LayerSlider? I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE if you can upload version 5.1 (most recent previous version – or whatever was the last version of LayerSlider included with Enfold – can you confirm this please?) and then all this is solved and I don’t have to do the work. Also please tell me how to back up previous versions of LayerSlider so I can roll back if I need to.
4. You said this “how did you guys update the theme?” I updated the theme in the basic way WordPress themes are designed to be updated, just as Jeff did, by going to Appearance Themes > Update.
5. Plugins Menu – To clarify, if I click on Plugins in the sidebar and click on ALL plugins I do not see LayerSlider listed. LayerSlider settings are still in the same place on the sidebar. I don’t see LayerSlider anywhere else other than the sidebar where it has always been although I understand you are saying it should not appear there. Hmmm
This reply has been marked as private.Kriesi,
Oh I understand. That comment was directed at the LayerSlider devs! I’m sure they tested it but this has created quite a bit of havoc, and it was already not working properly on mobile site rotation (portrait to landscape and portrait), so to see it get even worse is frustrating to say the least. Grrr. ;-/
My guess is, there is a setting we could tweak that might alleviate it. I was a bit hesitant to start poking around until I communicated with you.
Thanks for checking it out for me, Jas

https://kriesi.at/support/topic/layerslider-enfold-2-6-issue-on-safari/#post-235290Yes, as I mentioned, the window resize action is triggering a Javascript redraw.
It seems this could be solved by reordering the java script load. Hmm. In either case, this has broken many websites and there should be a clear way to down-grade to a previous version. To have a site working, then have no way to get it working again, is unnecessary, to say the least.
I sent a message to dev of LayerSlider as well and there has been no response. This is very disappointing that this LayerSlider release was not tested.
Thank you, Jas
Another problem:
1. When loading on the last version of Firefox the slider doesn’t show elements.
2. The background looks blurry and distorted. This happens every time I quit safari and load the page. If I reload the page, then it appears normally. The distorted background happens on EVERY restart of the browser. See screenshot.

There is a problem with iPhone mobile Safari on iOS 7.1 as well as Android on Samsung Galaxy.
In portrait mode, the only element that loads is “MAKE LIFE BETTER”. All other elements do not load until the device is rotated to landscape mode.
Then intermittently, the elements appear properly, but not often.
Thanks, Jas
This reply has been marked as private.Update, I just noticed:
If I wait until the page loads then drag the right bottom corner of the window to resize then the elements appear.
This is telling me that the window resize action is triggering a Javascript redraw. Once it is redrawn the second time the elements then appear.
This occurs on ALL browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Chrome) if the windows are just a little too small. I think.
What do you think is going on with this update? I did not have this issue before this update.
Thanks, Jas
This reply has been marked as private.Hi guys,
I just updated the theme to 2.6. The problem still exists. I see in the LayerSlider interface that LayerSlider was updated on March 6th and included some appearance issues fixes.
“Changes in version 5.1.1 (6th March 2014)
Fixed some appearance issues
Fixed an issue in the new import method”It seems Enfold was updated with the most recent (March 6) version of LayerSlider but still the problem persists.
Thank you, Jas
Thanks Josue,
The code works but the concept by Pinterest just doesn’t work very well. The pinit button is showing up in the wrong places and don’t work when it does show up. But thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I just don’t think Pinterest has figured this out. There is a way to go through and tag images you don’t want this to show up on, but that still wouldn’t solve all the problems. I’ll come back to it when I begin my photography site.
Best, Jas
Thanks Peter,
I hope we can get this resolved as I am about to use Enfold for a client site. Do you mind leaving this case open? I’ll remember to get back to you after the next release.
Thanks for your time, Jas
