Hi guys!!! Fixed it!!! :)
Please, disregard this request. :)
Of course!!! Here you go! Sending you the credentials to be able to login to staging site :) I think I may need to resort to what I did on the other site so the caption gets centered inside the left-frame but flushed left ;) and I can add the red gradient to the red button and an image below with the logos. ;)
What do you suggest I should use as a slider image size so it’s viewed properly on mobile? :)
And one more question: How do I hide the top menu bar on mobile and tablets?
Thank you, thank you so much!!!
Warmly,
Havi
Hi Yigit!!!
Thank you so much!!
I use the ESSB plugin for social sharing and it’s really terriric, so I’m covered there. Comments…. how do I add comments? Should I add Disqus, or FB comments?
For the Post Metas, they don’t show up but they are still there for Google and Yoast, correct? I can add an author plugin. Most of this content is evergreen, so showing the date is not really crucial (or the category)
I tried Fullwidth Easy Slider but it doesn’t have the buttons as text like the other one. :( See? We keep on asking for more and more of the good stuff!!!! (I may be able to work around it like I did on the RSM’s site home page. (I added a link to it on the private content)
Warmly,
Havi
Please don’t kill me!! I chatted with Mailchimp and the problem was that I was testing with made up email addresses and the double opt-in option was checked…. so, of course, nobody would confirm, and all I can tell you is that your integration works much better than I do… for sure…
Thank you for all your support!!!!
Warmly,
(and very happy)Havi :)
Hi Vinay!
Does that plugin have anything in particular? Because we have MailChimp for WordPress Pro installed and we are trying to replace it with the Enfold functionality (less plugins, better performance) and it works. The new signups do appear on the Mailchimp list.
Thank you for your support!!
Havi
Hi Vinay,
I don’t understand what you are showing me. The connection works and pull up one email list as it should. When you submit a new entry via the form on the page I sent you, the email does not make it though to the Mailchimp List.I do not have a problem connecting to Mailchimp and pulling the fields from the list. I have a problem having the information people enter making it into Mailchimp.
Thank you for your help!!
Havi
Hi Rikard!!
Here it goes!!

Hi Yigit!
The code was given by billymob of mobile advertising and I think we were checking on desktop… I just tried on mobile and it works!
Thank you soooo much!
Warmly,
Havi
Hi Yigit!!
It’s not working :(
Should I try the other method or would you like to take a look at it first? I do see between <head> and </head> is it calling jQuery twice?
Thank you for all your help!!!
Warmly,
Havi
Thank you, Yigit!! ;) Yes, that happens a lot with special characters!!!
I’m sure I’ll hear something from these people tomorrow as they are in Spain and not it’s pretty late there ;)
Warmly,
Havi
Hi Yigit!!
I think they need to activate it or we won’t see anything ;)
I’ll let you know as soon as they let me know it’s active. :)
Thank you so much!!!
Warmly,
Havi
PS: Could you please tell me what changed, so I don’t mess it up?You got it, Yigit!
Not at all, Yigit! Adding it below!! :)
Thank you so much!!!
Warmly,
Havi
Done!! I added the code below to the child’s functions.php file. I don’t see anything happening yet but maybe the publisher needs to start the campaign?
Really, Yigit? That would make my life so much easier!!! I was already searching on how to create and name a custom .js file!!! If you are sure, then I’m going for it!!! :)
Thank you, Basilis!! I’ll begin to implement right now!! :)
Oki Doki!! I’ll add the double entry verification. All I’m missing is the css to make the row height smaller. :)
Thank you Elliott!!
Havi
Hi Elliott!!
I did try 20px, 30px and even 5px and cleared all of the caches several times. But I couldn’t make it work. I now set it to 50px, emptied query strings, flushed all caches and purged page from cache and the size does not move. :(
Great news! Something in the cache was affecting the page so #3 is totally taken care of!! Woohoo!!
Any suggestions for #2 and #1?
Thank you Elliott!!! :)
Warmly,
Havi
Hi Elliott!! :)
Added to custom CSS and modified to 40px and to 10px but I don’t see any changes in the height of the field :( (I also flushed the cache and all of the w3tc stuff) when I change the padding via Web Inspector on Safari it works.
What should I try?
Thank you so much Elliott!!
Havi
Hi Richard! I just voted and added another one. Check it out. I think you will like it as it’s related to improving conversions. ;)
Thank you, Rikard!! Here it goes!!

Havi
Hi Rikard!
Of course! Sending them right now!

It’s taken care of!! Safari caches everything!! I had to clean the caches, close Safari, open safari and the separator works!! :)
Thank you soooooooo much!!!

Havi :)July 7, 2015 at 5:27 pm in reply to: Trying to have a widget display in the center of a post #469842Hi Elliott!!
Thank you so much!!
Yes, the widget always gets centered what gets populated on the third part of the page is the following text (in this case there’s only and H2 text) and I did try adding a whitespace/separator before but I got no response but I just added one and the H2 displays on the following line as it should!
Woohoo!! I even made it -50 so there wouldn’t be any space added afterwards! For the life of me I just couldn’t figure out why it was not behaving as it should!
Thank you sooooo much!!!
Havi
PS: Yes, I had removed the table but the same thing was happening, third cell was being populated with the following text and my goal was to have the widget display centered and alone ;)July 6, 2015 at 6:32 pm in reply to: Trying to have a widget display in the center of a post #469185Hi Elliott!!
Here you go!!!
Thank you so much!!!

I will prepare access for you (I have it as a draft) so you can see it (and the settings… maybe it’s something there)
Thank you so much!!!

You betcha!!! That is the sweetest and most selfless thing I have heard in a long time!!! Would you like to send me an email via my site?

I also thought I would share this article that is from this year and benchmarks cache plugins. (I still wonder about Super Cache though… it has 5 stars and over 70K installations – has anybody tried it?)
http://wpdevshed.com/best-wordpress-cache-plugin/
I did test WP Super Cache but the speed results on Google Page Insights were horrible so I switched to W3TC…
OK… Here it goes… I am being hosted with Media Temple VPS. Apache server and optimized by them (still not very happy). I also use Ewwww plugin to reduce image size and I manually lower the weight of most images before uploading.
To setup W3TC I used this guide:
http://code.tutsplus.com/series/configuring-w3-total-cache–cms-656
With the following changes:
Not using the Minify function because it was really slowing down the site as per Google Page Speed Insights.
For the Page Cache settings I did not check the compatibility mode (somehow that 20% slowdown freaks me out)Somehow these settings do not seem to work. Google Page Insights still insists on leveraging browser caching (what??) and several other complaints. Like image size, etc. I have noticed that the related posts images are not displaying as they used to (square thumbnails) but a CSS resized version of the full sized image. Changing this would definitely help with image size.
As I said before, originally I had the minify settings just like it indicates on the TUTS guide and Google Page Speed Insights was still showing Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content but this time, the urls were /cache/ ones. Strange, huh? Also, the speed grade was even worse than without the minify, so I removed it.
Here’s the page insights of the site I am using for testing: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fbodasyweddings.com%2Fpeinados-con-trenzas-para-novias-paso-a-paso%2F&tab=desktop
Here’s my questions:
– Anybody has a good guide of the best settings to setup W3TC with Enfold?
– An idea on how to fix the thumbnails resizing?
– Should we use a different plugin for Minify?
– Any other suggestions are more than welcome!!!!Let’s do this together and power up our sites!!
Warmly,
Havi
Quick question Elliott, should I use the minify plugin you suggested instead of the minify function from W3TC? (that btw, I think it breaks Enfold’s behavior as now Layout Elements shortcode is not fully responding – 1/3, 1/3 and 1/3 and the text that follows is left aligned as if it was on the last 3rd piece that has to be empty, tried adding a whitespace after it, a full width line and could not make it behave appropriately)
I’ll add the details of the W3TC setup I used and the hosting. but I still have the same problem, except now it’s from cache… isn’t; this crazy? ;)
Ok… until later!!
Warmly,
Havi
