Hi Ismael,
I broke it down into 5 jpgs and here are the links. Please, do not publish the draft portfolios as this is a live site. Yes, there are a lot of images as the client has a lot of portfolios. Also, Kinsta has uploaded images (that I later deleted from the WP image library – please make sure I can do the same with yours) take them as thumbnails, you can use the same draft and upload new images to the same spots.
Kinsta indicated they had to upload 13 images to replicate the frozen screen issue. I have seen it happen at 18 images (as long as you don’t save the draft and keep on working)
For the second issue (the disappearance of the ALT text – this happens on all of the Enfold installs I manage when uploading and image via the Advanced Layout Editor) it happens most of the time (e.g., 5 images will keep the ALT text you entered and one won’t then 3 images will and 2 won’t) I have gone back and manually entered the ALT text via the WP image Gallery, one by one. But once, you are done uploading images via the Portfolio’s advanced layout editor, you can check the image library and see where the ALT text is missing.
Here are the screenshots to follow to replicate the issue (I added them to my Google Drive):

Thank you so much!

Hi Basilis,
Thank you but that won’t work as I want the Portfolio Page (or custom post?) to be indexed.
Yoast has a way to stop the WordPress Blog Posts feed from being indexed but it doesn’t seem to recognize the custom post type portfolio’s feed to add a node to it too.
Is there a way to do this? Should we ask Yoast to include a way to no index Avia’s custom post types? Am I even making sense? :)
Warmly,
Havi
Hi Basilis!!
How are you?
Here’s what happens. Search Console starts to show indexation and consequently 404s of the portfolio pages feeds. They shouldn’t be indexed in the first place.
So, if you add Disallow: */feed/ to the robots.txt file, you stop getting 404s and you start getting a huge increase of blocked resources reported on Search Console (not just for the portfolios but for every page that produced a feed)
Blocking resources produces a very adverse reaction from Google on the SERPs (they want to see everything)
Does this help?
My question is, how to I add a noindex tag to the portfolio feeds?
Meanwhile I am going to remove the disallow feed from my robots.txt as I don’t have too many portolios for now.
Thank you!!
Warmly,
Havi
Hi Ismael!
That was the Kinsta test. They created it. I’ll send you the link on the private field to the one I gave them to use but they got to reproduce it following my little manual (sending you that too – I made a pdf)
They kept on uploading the same image again and again – I told them they HAD to upload an image.
Don’t forget to go to the Image Library later to check that your Alt text is there for all the images. Some will not be.
Please, let me know how else I can help

Preparing access for you. Will send shortly via Private message.
You will notice two things:
#1 – After a certain number of image uploads to the portfolio (without saving the draft) the page will freeze when uploading one more image to the gallery) This only happens on this particular install.#2- I always enter the Alt Text when uploading the image but when you go back and check them via the Media Gallery, that text is not there in some cases – This happens on all the installs I checked (different hosts)
If you have any questions I’m here!!
Thank you!!!

Havi
You bet!! :)
Thank you, Nikko! (I initiated the DNS change and register dot com has a TTL of 12-24 hours!!) I may change their DNS to Kinsta that gives us free Amazon DNS. So, this may take a couple of days…
Warm regards,
Havi
Hi Nikko!!
No problem!! Let me work on getting you the access and I’ll be sending it to you shortly.. We are going live this afternoon so I’d rather give you the new access.
Kind regards,
Havi

HI guys,
I added Adsense directly to the Enfold’s Sidebar Widgets. Nothing special. But I pay a pretty penny for my own super fast Nginx dedicated server. Planning on improving speed even more. I also follow the Adsense special instructions and tools to increase speed for their New Beta Program (I have been selected but not fast enough yet) I have been gathering some good suggestions to start working with (I may need some help from the amazing @Kriesi team to implement on one of my sites) and if they apply to every setup, maybe they can be incorporated in the theme.
But I am sure that the speed has a lot to do with my finely tuned server setup and capacity to serve static content fast so far (almost 3 years invested on this)
Warm regards,
HaviThank you, Jordan!!! :)
I don’t need to create the sub-folders, right? And I just make a full copy and then add the modifications, correct?
Warmly,
Havi
Thank you, Rikard!!! It did the trick!! I had to restart the computer itself but finally the cache was cleared (in my computer) and I can see it all works as it always has!!
Thank you so much!!
Wishing you and the team a very happy holiday season!!

I also deactivated the Ajax search from my menu but I’d love to have it back. Did the code you shared help?
add_filter( ‘wp_nav_menu_items’, function($items, $args) {
return str_replace(‘href=”?s=”‘, ‘href=”#”‘, $items);
}, 9999, 2 );For me the main issues is not the blocked URLs or Soft 404s (although it doesn’t look good) it’s the misuse of Google’s crawling budget. A couple of the sites I manage are very high traffic and managing the crawl budget is essential to having new pages indexed.
Thank you!!!

This reply has been marked as private.Hi guys!!
This is the first time I have seen this happen. And I have installed a LOT of Child Themes. Not on WPEngine. I don’t think it’s a host issue but it is very strange. I tried to add a Child theme to one of my sites (that’s been on Enfold for like 2 years) and I can see the colors properly imported on the settings of the Child but that is not reflecting when you look at the page.
The blue looks green, the small menu bar has different dimensions and colors. and even if I try to manually modify it.
Check it out:
Parent theme: https://imgur.com/wNhRGqu
Child theme: https://imgur.com/Q2te8InStrange, right?
I left it as the Parent theme, but feel free to switch it (this site is my little battle horse and doesn’t have much traffic. Sending you the credentials on Private Reply.
Let me know how I can help!

Havi
Hi guys!
For all that want to go the AMP route. Yoast Glue incompatible (don’t know with what or who, didn’t investigate) and not needed. AMP for WP with premium extensions is all you need with Enfold. (So far) No errors, all metadata shows up perfectly and you can choose from 3 pre-set themes on AMP (the second one is the fastest)
Cheers and happy holidays to all!!

Hi Nikko!!
I found out why it wasn’t working for me! Instead of adding the text on the html side, I had to use the Keyboard Shortcut: ctrl + alt + p and then it worked!!!
Thank you for helping me think through it!!
Warmly and happy Thanksgiving!!!

Hi John!
Absolutely. When I add the <!–nextpage–> on a blog post, update it and view the post, the words “<!–nextpage–>” appear instead of splitting the blog post into two pages.
I think it’s because this function is disabled by the theme (from what I researched online). Either way, how can I split the blog into two paginated pages?Thank you so much!!

Thank you so much!!! How did you fix it so I can d the same to the other sites?
I will try to find somebody that actually has one of those devices and see if it really happens. Chrome gets close but is not perfect. Even on iPhone I get a different display than what Chrome shows me.
Thank you so much!!

Thank you for your kind words… power is back (hopefully it will stay that way) and it was kind of scary but thank goodness Irma is on its way to being dissolved into a low pressure system…
I hope everybody recovers soon and they are all safe.
Anyway, I took several screenshots on different browsers and mobile devices and added notes to each. Maybe this is more helpful to show you what I mean.
I have a feeling that for some reason the code that recognizes the dark/light background may be receiving the wrong input. But this is just my own hunch from looking at the code and trying to follow the logic. I defer to you. You can see the behavior of the header is not constant.
The images will explain better than me. I hope.
Best regards,
Havi

The reason the mobile menu does not cover the slider anymore is because I fixed it. Added height to the element. The problem that remains has more to do with the proper recognition of dark background when header is transparent.
Maybe the sticky header is causing this but I need it to be sticky. This was the ticket when that was added:
Is it possible that the code is detecting the padding instead of the transparent background? If so, what is the proper code to make the header sticky on mobile?
Thank you!!

Did you make any changes?
The code that was added:
/*Home Page Transparent Header*/
@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
#top #wrap_all .av_header_transparency {
background: transparent !important;
position: absolute!important;
}}Did not make any difference. I removed it and the header displays the same. It’s not recognizing the dark background and on some devices it makes the header transparent and other not.
Does this help?
September 11, 2017 at 4:56 am in reply to: Home Page on Mobile Full Width Slider Covered by Menu #850318Hi Ismael,
Yes, I already had the header sticking on mobile view for a long while.
I still see it with a white background on my cell and it’s not recognizing the dark background with Safari on the desktop. Cleared the cache and still nothing.
Desktop with Chrome recognizes the dark background and displays text in white but on mobile it’s not using the transparent logo and the hamburger menu is not white. So it’s not recognizing the dark background again. :(
Help!
