Hi Rikard,
thanks for quick response. I am familiar with doing some minor custom css fixings like e.g. definition of new breakpoints, font colours & sizes, … or hiding some elements of the page. But I have no experiences of “building” an new header layout from scratch. I guess, that my layout is not that complex, but what would you do recommend to do first? What are the next steps to get the new header style?
Kind regards,
RainerHi Yigit,
it’s not necessary to check the credentials. Your solution works fine =) I’ve overwritten the old php files with your new ones and then I was able again to open all Enfold pages. Thanks a lot and DANKE
RainerHi John, I’ve tried everything (new installation of Enfold via FTP, new installation of WP 4.9, moving all data via Duplicator to another hosting instance), but Avia Layout Builder still does not work and I can’t edit my pages anymore =( Ciao, Rainer

thanks for your engagement and offering support. Of course you are right, that eliminatiing most of the pics might bring the site working on an iPad Air. But the site is not that big, approx. 3 MB and as I have said, it’s working well on an iPhone 5/6 and also on an iPad Mini2 – I’ve tested it yesterday on a friend’s device. I guess the iPad Mini has not more RAM than an iPad Air.

yes, I follow your assumption that the issue has something to do with the memory. I’ve tested it on an iPad 1 and 2 and the browser’s were crashing on both systems as well. But the site works OK on an iPad Air 2. But due to the fact that an iPad Air 1 is not a “device from the last century” it would be great to find a fix to make the site work. What I don’t understand is the fact, that the site works well on an iPhone 5 and 6 that I’ve tested.

So this is really a big issue and I can’t go live with this site. Hopefully you will find the coding error very soon. Thanks in advance and kind regards, Rainer

I’ve tested latest Safari and Chrome versions. As I’ve said, there are no issues on desktop and iPhone Browser. maybe iPad Mini is the same like iPhone. But the front page (and cause it’s an Onepager there are just 2 more pages with legal staff) crashes always. Your wedding demo crashes also on scrolling after a while, but not that fast as my page. Cheers, Rainer
October 19, 2015 at 10:40 pm in reply to: Enfold Theme bringt Safari (und auch Chrome) auf dem iPad Air zum Absturz… #521224P.S. I mean media query and/or coding regarding tablet mode.
October 19, 2015 at 10:39 pm in reply to: Enfold Theme bringt Safari (und auch Chrome) auf dem iPad Air zum Absturz… #521223Yes, but same procedure as before – the site crashes. And I guess that this could not be the issue, cause, as I’ve said, there is no issue on iPhone and desktop browser. I guess that there must be a problem reagarding the media query for tablets or something like that. Cheers, Rainer

It seems, that your custom CSS code fixes the iPhone “horizontal issue after clicking a menu item”. But the main problem “iPad browser crashing” is still there. Cheers, Rainer
October 19, 2015 at 11:43 am in reply to: Enfold Theme bringt Safari (und auch Chrome) auf dem iPad Air zum Absturz… #520832Hi,
I have attached the credentials and URL via Provate Content. beside the iPad issue there is one more regarding iPhone/Smartphone. When you load the page initially you can scroll vertically through the page and everything is fine. But once you open the menu and click on a menu item you’ve got an “design issue”. That means, you can scroll horizontally and you see the “hidden” menu at the top. I guess that this is not an option but a bug ;) And if you fix this it would be a good ideo to consider a “sticky minimalized header for mobile devices”, too.
Thanks and regards,

Updates: enabledHey Elliott, hey Kriesi,

Ciao,
RainerAmendment: I guess it has something to with z-index and/or media query for tablets. On IE11 and latest Firefox on my laptop eberything works well.
Hi Josue,
thanks for your hint but I guess it won’t work. I tried this earlier. But I will test it again.
Kind rgds,
RainerOk, thanks for letting me know and your support. In IE11 and latest Firefox it looks OK. Cheers, Rainer
Hi Isamel,
thanks for very fast response. Unfortunately it still doesn’t work as it should be. As I wrote the issue only happens on my iPad – or in general on tablets, but I just own iPads ;-} I guess that it must have something to do with the coreesponding media query for that device category / resolution. Knowingly I didn’t make changes any changes ;-) So it would be great if you could ask a developer about this issue. Just to point this out: It is not a hovering issue, but a z-index one. The menubar/header is hidden until I scroll down the page.
Kind rgds,
RainerSunds good. Thanks for quick response.
Ciao, Rainer
