August 22, 2016 at 6:38 pm in reply to: Construction: Banner text gets cut off on responsive #675937
Hi team,
We used the code provided, which helped to make the banner a little bit more friendly.
No matter how little text we put in there, it’s still being cut off on the top, though. Ideally we’d like to just increase the height of the banner – is there a way to do this? There’s a little yellow section under the banner that is very tall on mobile – far too much padding, and the button is on the top-right instead of the bottom. We’re trying to make that section narrower as well, but with no success. And switch the position of the button and text. You’ll see what I mean when you take a look at the site on mobile.
Thanks for the help!
Currently, we cannot update the theme – the security settings with the hosting provider do not allow read/write privileges on PHP files.
This is also why we think this has something to do with the PHP version, as in our development site, everything works fine on the back-end (even before we updated to the most recent theme)
Please try again now :)
Hi Yigit, as per the last post (#663963), the issue is not resolved. Please help :(
Hi team – PHEW it turns out our database was just redirecting the site; we’ve replaced the database. That was scary :)
We’re still having the issue with the editor. It only appeared fixed because our database was redirecting to our development site.
This is the last issue that we need to resolve before we can sign off on this little project. It’s a bit frustrating to us to not hear back over several days, so please do your best to reply. We love this theme, and have paid to use it on 6 sites so far… but the support time need improvement. We can’t wait to have this resolved!
Thank you :)

Is the private area of this support Secure???! :(
Now the entire website has a redirect in place going from one URL to the other (see private). We’re all very confused here as to how the 301 redirect got into place – you didn’t do that by chance did you? So strange!
Not sure if you did anything here, but the editor is now working.
We updated the theme from our dev site, and removed the map entirely. We’ll remove your credentials tomorrow.
Read/write capabilities are turned off server-side, but this would not cause the fatal error. It explains the theme not updating, though.
I see from another thread that you have been having an issue with google maps since last month, so if we can fix the versioning issue, if that’s indeed what’s causing the error, then we’ll just remove the map.
Thanks for your help! :)
Same issue. Map worked fine on the development site, moved to production and produced the following error message a split second after the map loads (then disappears):
This page was unable to display a Google Maps element. Please contact the site administrator. If you are the administrator of this site, please check the JavaScript console or check the following page for troubleshooting: http://g.co/mapsJSApiErrors
The console reads MissingKeyMapError
Really I’m just following this thread so that I can see when this issue is resolved…
Thank you, this fixed the issue.
Note that the plugin is not tested on the most recent version of wordpress. “Reset the database” also didn’t really help with figuring out what to do with the plugin :) I reset everything excluding users. Putting up the preferred Demo Import was a cinch after that. Thanks!
Here’s the resolve:
The theme does not automatically remove the previous demo pages. Instead, it adds new pages and does not update the homepage.
In order to update the homepage I went into the Enfold Theme Options and updated the homepage to a different instance. I then deleted the homepage that we don’t want from the list of pages (and all other pages from the old demo).
