Hello Rikard,
Thanks for your reply/post.
Re the wand; I found issues if I switch back/forth between default/ALB when I try to see a layout before using the wand to reproduce in default mode, and formatting gets lost. And occasionally happens without warning. My pages are currently housed locally as I build. As noted I must create approx 75posts and either I create really plain looking posts (not our intent when we purchased your template) or the standard blog header is lost – which is unacceptable as it is a blog page as you can understand.
As noted, I can add the footer using the wand (comments, social media etc), but I (and other users) really need the standard header which consists of the post title, date, # of comments, category & author. The bug note, is mainly because due to the way it behaves, and people have made note before and nothing done. I was suggesting as a way to speed up the process to make it work as people expected, wanted, paid for etc.
Re people noting in 2013; https://kriesi.at/support/topic/avia-layout-builder-elements-in-posts-comments-are-missing/
Re support, ok, I guess I expected more when purchasing the template. Also that kriesi charges for ongoing support, which is frustrating if I were to get nowhere.
I don’t know if there is someone I can pay extra for the missing shortcode.
Basically just need the shortcode line that I can paste into a text block while in ALB editor mode to bypass the format type bug problem. This will allow me to use the ALB and have the header appear in a standard way, the same way it does when in default mode and using a standard format type. I would think this is a basic necessity, ie having the post title, date, # of comments, category & author appear on the header. And likely pretty quick for a coder at kriesi to do
Wouldn’t you agree it is very much needed?
Again, not asking you to instantly create a new wand option which is clearly missing, but asking for the shortcode which I can paste to bypass this problem. Thanks for your patience in assisting :)
September 30, 2015 at 6:07 pm in reply to: Format box not showing in post. Enfold Version: 3.1.5 #511746I don’t know if it would be considered a feature but more of a bug. I’ve seen many posts where customers of kriesi’s templates want to have the standard looking format look, and then add more elements. As you mentioned, we can get around it with the wand, but then at one point the standard format disappears without reason/explanation… With this bug, the shortcode for the Post title, post date, # of comments, Category and author would be very very helpful. It is not only for the text displayed but there are links to the comments, category & author.
Is there a way we can escalate it as a bug fix/patch? I imagine it would take 5 minutes for one of your supercoders to make the simple code to paste, and save me/others tons of time. :)Thanks
September 30, 2015 at 5:46 pm in reply to: Format box not showing in post. Enfold Version: 3.1.5 #511720I was thinking there is simple code that someone at Kriesi can give me which automatically displays the Post title, post date, # of comments, Category and author.
ie the exact same way it shows when using the default editor formats. As in, I paste the same code in the heading (via the ALB) and the Post title, post date, # of comments, Category and author appear as it would with the default formats…
I don’t want to manually enter text and modify for each post. That would introduce errors and too much waste time. I have to enter approx 75 posts…
Is there someone I can contact at Kriesi for these codes? I have the enfold photography template. Thanks :)
September 30, 2015 at 9:35 am in reply to: Format box not showing in post. Enfold Version: 3.1.5 #511227Yes, I have done this. But it often messes up the formatting vs the ALB. And there is no elements to add the Post title, post date, # of comments, Category and author should it disappear.
So the only option I see is having the ALB function with the format enabled, or getting the shortcodes to manually display the Post title, post date, # of comments, Category and author.
Do you know the shortcodes? (please)Thanks :)
September 30, 2015 at 5:39 am in reply to: Format box not showing in post. Enfold Version: 3.1.5 #511108Hello,
I have the same issue. I want to use the format options such as image, video, gallery etc to keep my posts standard looking. But I also want to add elements from the Advanced Layout Editor to spice up a post’s appearance…Once I switch from the Default to the Advanced Layout Editor, the post does not show the post title and other info on the top of the post, nor the social media/comments on the bottom. Ie I lose the standard appearance of the posts…
Via the Advanced Layout Editor, I can add the social media and comments manually to the bottom of the posts, but there is no option to add the post title etc on the top of each post.
Is there a way to have format options working at same time as the Advanced Layout Editor?
Or
What are the shortcodes to display the Post title, post date, # of comments, Category and author at the top of each post? (the same way the standard formats show this information). I will paste into each post. Please let me know
Thank you :) -
