March 12, 2024 at 6:23 pm in reply to: Some pages are text only with a deformed logo. All specific blog pages are too #1437078
A page that is currently doing this is: https://gatehealing.com/counseling-austin-tx/parenting-family-counseling/
I have a screenshot, but I think it is rather complicated to get it to y’all. Let me know if the link above does not show it. I won’t fix it till we can figure this out. My fear is that this issue will spread to my entire site again.
***Also, there are 2 threads on this — I created a new one without thinking. Can you and Ismael let me know which one to continue with? I can do both, but it seems like double work for y’all—this is what I wrote yesterday at 9:39pm:***
Here’s the other post that I just created (I wasn’t thinking of just coming back here): https://kriesi.at/support/topic/all-subpages-are-just-a-white-page-and-text-blue-links/Thanks y’all
JonMarch 12, 2024 at 4:11 am in reply to: Some pages are text only with a deformed logo. All specific blog pages are too #1437007I needed to fix this before it impacted my practice anymore than it already has. So I used the method that I had stumbled on with blog posts and did that for both blog posts and for pages.
I really need to try and figure out what is causing this to happen. Any help would be appreciated.

March 11, 2024 at 11:02 pm in reply to: ALL subpages are just a white page and text/blue links #1437000First, please let me know whether to continue here (new thread about this issue), or the old one.
Update: I went in an filtered posts by category. When I selected all Anxiety posts in list of posts, then bulk selected Edit, then just clicked Update, then quickly cancelled it, that seemed to fix the problem. Some of the category pages are messed up, while others are not. Blog posts in the categories I fixed (just anxiety and couples) are fixed as well. All other blog posts, except for those that have a category page that is already working.
Do I need to temporarily switch to one of the themes that come with WordPress?

March 11, 2024 at 9:39 pm in reply to: Some pages are text only with a deformed logo. All specific blog pages are too #1436995Apologies for not getting back . . .no, it turns out that it is worse now. Now is all pages and all blog posts except my homepage.
This is a critical problem since I am already trying to deal with ranking issues . . .and actually, I am wondering if this has been an issue for quite some time on various pages, and now on all. It is not seen if you are logged in to wp dashboard and you goto the site in the same browser, so when I have been viewing pages after updates, I have not seen it.
I am not going to use the step that I stumbled on above to try and fix this until y’all see it yourselves. . . Need to figure out the cause so i can fix it at the root.
Here’s the other post that I just created (I wasn’t thinking of just coming back here): https://kriesi.at/support/topic/all-subpages-are-just-a-white-page-and-text-blue-links/

March 10, 2024 at 10:15 pm in reply to: Burger menu has stopped working on my mobile devices. #1436889I do recall something being buried, but it may have been on that other plugin I had, but minification is on the front tab of WPFC.
Ya, we can close this ticket. . . I’ll come back if it recurs
Thanks!
JonMarch 10, 2024 at 8:29 pm in reply to: Burger menu has stopped working on my mobile devices. #1436886I do only use the theme to minify and WPFC to cache. Delete old js and css files stays enabled. . .should I disable it?
Regarding waiting till my site is done, that’s an ongoing project right now as I try to figure out my ranking issues that are not making sense to anybody. And some of these issues, like the burger menu issue, were not happening for the past month when I wasn’t changing anything other than some layout elements and text in specific pages. My site structure is basically done in terms of design and where everything is located.
JMarch 10, 2024 at 3:57 am in reply to: Blog Posts: “106 resources are formatted as page link” warning on SEMrush #1436851That seems to fix it. Thanks!
JonMarch 10, 2024 at 3:54 am in reply to: Burger menu has stopped working on my mobile devices. #1436850Oh, we switched to Enfold compression/merging due to WPFC’s versions of this was screwing things up. Am I to disable, clear everything then re-enable it? Or are you thinking that I’ll need to leave teh Enfold compression/merging off?
March 10, 2024 at 3:50 am in reply to: Blog Posts: “106 resources are formatted as page link” warning on SEMrush #1436849Yes, the issue is that the linked image points to the image page rather than to a page link. I’ll try the code now.
March 10, 2024 at 1:34 am in reply to: Burger menu has stopped working on my mobile devices. #1436847re: “Please note that testing with iPads & iPhones can be hard to clear the cache, often you need to also clear the history to fully purge the cache, following these steps for Safari and note Step 4 where you will Clear the History.”
When I clear browsers, I use the Clear Everything setting so it wipes out all history and purges all caches. I don’t use Safari. I mainly use Firefox and Chrome as a backup or 2ndary browser to test on).
My ahrefs is showing 5 broken javascripts on 134 pages. They are all /…/dynamic-avia/ type errors–this is in a different thread with y’all. I don’t know if this javascript issue could be part of the problem?

March 5, 2024 at 7:50 pm in reply to: Blog Posts: “106 resources are formatted as page link” warning on SEMrush #1436413I wish I could. I just deleted the images that were causing the issue. I don’t have any more Semrush audits available but I will see if Ahrefs will show it.
March 3, 2024 at 10:11 pm in reply to: Blog Posts: “106 resources are formatted as page link” warning on SEMrush #1436181In case it helps, here’s the note from ahrefs about what this is:
“About this issue: We detected that some links to resources are formatted with **less than sign**a href**greater than sign** HTML element. An **less than sign**a**greater than sign** tag with a href attribute is used to link to other web pages and must only contain a page URL. Search engines will crawl your site from page to page by following these HTML page links. When following a page link that contains a resource, for example, an image, the returned page will not contain anything except an image. This may confuse search engines and will indicate that your site has poor architecture.”**had to put these because this box reads actual opening and closing brackets as actual code**
March 3, 2024 at 3:42 am in reply to: Some pages are text only with a deformed logo. All specific blog pages are too #1436100I don’t know what the heck happened, but I tried going to the published Blog pages tab in the Dashboard and bulk selecting all posts, then did nothing and just hit Update . . . .when I realized no categories were selected I got concerned that this was going to remove all category selections from all posts and I hit Cancel.
When I rechecked the posts in a different browser again, the problem was fixed on the posts too.
This was an issue that did not show up if I was logged in to the WP dashboard in the browser I was going to my site in. So I had to goto Chrome to check (I cleared all history and caches every time I checked).
Hmmm. I cannot figure out why ahrefs is showing the second one as 404 then. My concern is seo . . . I have a major drop in serps that I am trying to diagnose (google) … no manual actions, no penalties (ever), design is good, speed is great, header tags correct, etc. etc.
It’s weird, there are a couple of 502’s and 520’s that work fine when I click them, yet they show up as errors too (I seem to remember those are usually related to the linked site’s server though).
While I don’t think 404’s generally hurt this, I am concerned that the sheer volume of them could. . .
I think we can close this for now, i’ll pop back if I hear something about it.

ya, I think we are good. Thanks!
jour posts may have crossed each other. Putting !important; fixed it.
The button you showed is the correct type of button that I am adjusting site-wide.Should I not use !important;? I can use the other code you provided instead.
Jnevermnid. Adding !important; fixed it.
Thanks,
Unfortunately, that code does not seem to change the font size on any of my browsers in either landscape or portrait mode, even after clearing all browser history/caches etc., and clearing all caches in wordpress interface. I have also closed the browsers, restarted my phone, and made sure that everything is up to date. When I was just changing the padding, the changes took place immediately, even if I didn’t clear any caches/history.
This doesn’t really make sense to me since your code looks just like other code y’all have provided.
JThat works. I’ll use the Advanced Styling for the desktop sites and will use the quick css for the mobile devices.
What would I add to the quick css for mobile devices to be able to change font size?
J
Well, I found a little hiccup: Whether I use quick css or Advanced Styling > Button … The changes show up on desktop version of site, but not on mobile.
I do not see an option for applying the changes to mobile as well in Advanced Styling . . . is there a way to apply the changes to mobile where it doesn’t look enormous compared to the font etc around the mobile buttons?
J
Oh, I just found that since changing the button size is just a matter of increasing padding, I can do that in Advanced Styling > Buttons > Padding Top/Bottom and Padding Left/Right.
I can tweak font size there too so the button doesn’t look too large for the font.
Thanks @Rikard,
I’m assuming that goes in the quick css box (vs in one of the .php or stylesheet etc files)?
J
I’m getting audit messages that tap targets are too small, especially on mobile devices. They look fine to me on desktop, but my SEO company is saying that I should make them a bit larger. There’s a link below that shows the type of buttons I have around most of the site (I think they are button elements, either medium or large size).
February 9, 2024 at 8:00 pm in reply to: How to add a button to Easy Slider that is consistent on all slides #1433862I think we can close. I’ll keep an eye on it.
Thanks for all the help!
JonFebruary 8, 2024 at 8:16 pm in reply to: How to add a button to Easy Slider that is consistent on all slides #1433734With WPFC enabled but minification/compression/”combining” off, the issue is NOT happening
pagespeed mobile performance score is now ~90
February 7, 2024 at 11:18 pm in reply to: How to add a button to Easy Slider that is consistent on all slides #1433594I just disabled WPFC, re-enabled theme compression/merging, re-enabled WPO, and purged CF caches (so CF running, just not connected to WPFC, which is deactivated), and the problem resolved.
The main impact of this is that my pagespeed performance score on mobile drops from 96 to ~80.
