Hello Again.
Just to let you guys know I have resolved the problem. Following suggestions in the forum around the same topic, I disabled all plugins and got it working. Through the process of elimination, I subsequently found the offending plugin. Thanks for your indirect help. Cheers.

Hi.

I got it to work. Recreated the menu from Appearance>Menus and got a menu-item ID for the page-item class. For some reason the first time I created the menu it did not work.

I have a follow up question. How do I keep the border and text of the said menu item the same as the “Transparency menu color” when using a transparent header on a page?

Hi Mike.

I am still not seeing any reference to “li id=menu-item-xxxx” . The reference I see to the menu item in question is li class =”page_item page-item-327″ . No reference to menu-item in the entire inspector window. Should I have created a main menu from within the Appearance area on the Dashboard?
