  • Thank you for considering Basilis!

PS: I bet this may be interesting for many people who wish to further optimize responsive display.

I can try to do it myself with @media queries and using custom css classes for elements along with font-size attribute and !important tag.
Maybe it’s better to wait for an enfold update with responsive 1024px (iPad) support.

    Hello Ismael,

    thanks for the information!
How about support for flexible fonts (vw instead of px) with decimal places for all elements:
Can this be added in the future?

    Kind regards!

Beautiful solution! Works like a charm. I changed animation time to 0.5s and scaling to 1.1, then I got the result I wished for :-)

    Thanks alot Mike!

Sadly it seems responsive options did not get an extra screen width toggle with 1024px (iPad)
It is really hard to optimize responsive design for iPads without that…
Can some moderator give any estimate time schedule for this to come?

in reply to: Enable Breakpoint on iPad resolution 1024px – CSS solution #1161408

Thanks Victoria! I’d like to make font size smaller (for 1024px screen width) on heading and text of all my 6x 1/3 columns at bottom of main page.

    Thanks Victoria,

I got it to work with some modifications.
However it seems that setting the breakpoint to be at 1024px, does not deliver the best outcome.
I think a better strategy would be to be able to set a smaller font size for column text and heading only for iPad screen width
    (@media only screen and (max-width: 1024px) and (min-width: 989px) )
Enfold responsive options will show selectable font sizes for mobile, but only up to 989px.
Is there any way to make font size adjustments for 1024px screen width?

    Kind regards

Thank you very much for your efforts Victoria!
The current setting is 3x 1/3 columns for all screen widths from 989px and above.
Below 989px there is a “mobile breakpoint” which means all 1/3 columns will be displayed as full width elements.
My goal is to let the 1/3 columns be shown as full width for screen width 1024px and below.
iPads do have 1024 screen width, so having 3x one third columns per row results in a messy result.
You can see it in my initial screenshot in this thread.
If I can change those columns to be full width on 1024px screen width, it will look much better on iPads.

    Thank you very much!

    Hi Rikard,

changing width of column to 80% does not trigger a breakpoint with code from above.
Link and screenshot is in private data.
    Thanks for your help!

That sounds promising :-) I disabled my caching plugin.
Looking forward to implement some CSS modifications to make my site look better on iPads :-)
I really welcome your effort for these.
For future Enfold updates, I think selectable options for mobile optimization should include 1024 (iPad) screen width.
Not just for breakpoints, but also font size options and so on.

    Thanks Victoria!
    Kind regards.

in reply to: Change mobile breakpoint in columns to 1024 for iPad #1155272

    Hello Basilis,

    thanks for the reply!
Feature update will be most welcome. I bet this is beneficial for many more Enfold users, who whish to deliver best results on iPads with 1024 screen width.
You said a quick CSS fix is not possible. But it should be at least regarding column breakpoints:
You can adress @media resolution screenwidth min 989px max 1024 px.
There something like .columns width 80% or something should trigger the breakpoint to occur, or am I wrong?
I couldn’t get it to work though, so I could need some help on this.

    Thanks!

    Thanks Ismael,

this issue is so odd. It only occurs with Edge browser, others work fine. Plus sometimes it works fine, then sometimes not.
Even when I don’t edit/touch my website at all. I set Edge to always delete cache/session/cokkies after closing browser.
And I rebuild my cache from Swift Perfomance caching plugin from time to time.
The thing is I don’t feel very well with handing out login data…so this should only be a last resort.
I will try to fix this myself. Maybe I messed up with some Quick CSS modifications.
I can test to remove some of the Quick CSS and see if that fixes this ominous bug.
I checked console on Edge browser for errors. I get some warnings but no error.

Ismael: let the page load for 10 seconds and after this period try to hover on any submenu item.
No idea why, but if I load the page and go instantly to submenu, the submenu items won’t disappear

    Hello Ismael,

thank you for your fast response!
Actually it seems the issue is present at some time, then at other times when I load the page it is not.
Really no idea why this is the case…
Right now it is active again on Edge browser.
Are there any things I can try in custom CSS as a general measure?

    Thanks!
