It works! Thanks!
Hello Günter,
Thanks a lot, that will help me.
Beste regards,
Marcel
Thanks Ismael, I wil wait till I get the update.
Best regards, Marcel
Hi,
The same issue here. Al my sidebars are gone and instead of the sidebar, a navigation of all pages shows up on the right side of my pages. Now I have to go to every single page and select ‘displayed everywhere’ instead of ‘default sidebar’ in the layout options of the sidebar options. That wil fix the issue but will takes ours and hours of work. I hope they will fix it with the next update very soon.
Cheers, Marcel
Hey there,
4.9.2 didn’t solve my problem. All the sidebars next to my pages on the website are gone. Instead it now shows automatically a sidebar navigation for all pages. And the option is still turned off in the ‘sidebar options’ of Enfold. Some of my websites have more than 100 pages. I am afraid to update because then I have to change every single page by hand. I have to go to every single page and select ‘displayed everywhere’ instead of ‘default sidebar’ in the layout options of the sidebar options. Only than my sidebar is is back.
Cheers, Marcel
Hi Chermann and Niko,
Beneath this rule, I will explain the bug I discovered this morning. I hope you will fix it and help other people.
The sidebar options on all pages I have made have ‘default sidebar’ selected in the layout options’ so the pages all have a sidebar on the right side.
In the Widgets I created some objects and put it in the Widget ‘displayed everywhere’. The first widget above page and blogs. Then this widget will automatically shows on every page because of the selection ‘default sidebar’.
This works for almost 5 years now. No problems till today.
This morning (I am from The Netherlands) I was updating to 4.9.1-dev-1 (Why dev-1?) and all the sidebars next to my pages on the website are gone. Instead it now shows automatically a sidebar navigation for all nested subpages of a page. And the option is still turned off in the ‘sidebar options’ of Enfold.
I’m glad I didn’t do the updates to all of my websites. But for this website the only solution for now was to go to every single page and select ‘displayed everywhere’ instead of ‘default sidebar’ in the layout options of the sidebar options.
Cheers, Marcel from The Netherlands
Hi Chermann and Niko,
Please don’t update. There is a bug. I will explain in a few moments… I am still in it now and fixing it.
Cheers Marcel
Be be continued in a few minutes…
Hi there,
There are al lot of people have the same issues. Our company website Extendum.nl has a lot of margin issues, icon-box issues and and the text “put your content in here”. It happened this morning and we still try to fix it.
Please give some “public” advice so we can create a temporary solution.
Greetings from Marcel
Hi Spapax,
I have the same problem but not solved. Can you please help me out?
Greetings from Marcel
It works when I delete the field Adres in my Mailchimp account. So for now the problem is solved. I won’t ask the adres of clients.
Thanks Rikard :-) You can close this topic.
Hi Rikard or someone else :-),
I think the release will take a little longer? Because if it takes longer I have to make the temporary solution on all my websites. I hope hearing from you.
Best regards,
Marcel
Hello Kriesi,
The problem is recognized now (https://kriesi.at/support/topic/social-buttons-broken-with-wp-5-3-1-update/) and it’s now waiting for the Enfold update….
I made a temporary solution for my clients: I have also a temporary solution: I made a new page without content, called …/pagename. Then I installed a redirect plugin and redirect that page to the external url. When I change the link of the icon to the redirect page, the icon shows up again.
I will remove the account because the problem is not in my websites. I hope you can solve this problem. Thanks :-)
Greetings Marcel
Hello,
I have also a temporary solution: I made a new page without content, called …/pagename
Then I installed a redirect plugin and redirect that page to the external url. When I change the link of the icon to the redirect page, the icon shows up again.
Hope it will help for the time b being :-)
Marcel
Hi, I am sure you have the right temporary solution but it takes too much risk for me to try this on almost 15 websites. I’m afraid I will make a little mistake. So I’ll wait… Thanks again.
All icons which are linked to an external url are gone. Internal links are still showing…. strange…
Hi Vingerhoets,
Thanks for the message. I just did exactly what you told above but after refreshing a “dead white screen” appears. Luckily after pasting the “old formatting.php” back via FTP, the site is working again. Pffff…
I am happy I am not the only person with this icon-issue after the update. And I will wait till the next update. I will tell the customers (again) they have to wait till the icons are back on the screen :-(
Greeting from Marcel
September 10, 2019 at 4:21 pm in reply to: "Read more" button on cookie bar after 4.6 update #1136589Hello,
After the update 4.6.1, all the websites I built for clients are a mess now. Privacy statements in Forms, Backgroundcolor of Cookie message bar, Accept and More Info buttons and language problems. I hope you will create a fix within a couple of days because this cannot happen. It will take days for me to fix it on all websites. In my opinion you’ll have to test better before launching an update of Enfold.
I am really, really disappointed
Marcel
Hi Ismael, Victoria and Rikard,
I solved the issue by hiring a freelancer. The right CSS code was
.avia-slideshow-arrows a:before {
font-size: 90px !important; }You can close it now.
Cheers Marcel
Hi Ismael,
I put new login details for you and the CSS-code you gave me is on top of the Quick CSS in the theme.
You can see\test the “result” on https://www.mkbzaken.nl/over-ons/
Cheers, Marcel
Hi Ismael,
The code didn’t work on my end. You can see it here:
https://www.mkbzaken.nl/over-ons/
Cache and disable file compression also didn’t help. Even when I remove all CSS and turn off the plugins, I cannot change the fontsize with the “Browser Inspector”. There is something which is overruling the fontsize.

Hi there,
Extra information: I am really confused now. I think there is something strange because I tried a hundred different CSS-codes to make the arrow bigger, also with “inspect element” but I cannot change them (see screenshot)
Cheers, Marcel
Hi Rikard,
Yes, I found it via another tread. But I don’t know what customising I need to create that. I just installed Enfold and I’m almost ready with the homepage. That’s why I rather do not install the demo of that testimonial. Is it maybe easy for you to tell me what CSS I need etc.?
I was testing al lot with all the similar questions I found. I am already there but I cannot create the similar big arrows without the squares.
This is what I have now: (I cannot insert a link…)

Hi Victoria,
I found another example on your website :

Hi Victoria,
I think you misunderstood. What you see (on the homepage on the bottom) is a static design made with only text columns. I want to make a content-slider. I want the user to click on one of the arrows and go to the next “client’s speaking”. What you see now is not a slider, you cannot click on the arrows.
Cheers, Marcel
Hi Victoria,
Thanks for your reply. This is a screenshot how it has to be: and this is wat I have now: . But as you can see the arrows are too little and are captured in a square or something. Ik made the square transparant (see my quick-CSS) but the arrows are still “captured”.
Ik hope you can help me :-)
Cheers Marcel
October 23, 2018 at 9:21 am in reply to: Can not update to ENFOLD 4.4.1 ( on all our websites ) #1025284Hi Els,
I found a temporary solution. It is for your own risk, but ik works for me. I followed those steps on every website:
1. Create new (Personal) Token Key (https://build.envato.com) and save/copy the registration code
2. Backup website (export db/theme-settings/and so on… and copy complete website folder from FTP…)
3. Download Enfold theme from your download page of Envato and unzip till you have the new folder Enfold (4.5)
4. Empty/delete content of folder Enfold (wp-content/themes/enfold) from the website via FTP*
5. Place/upload content of the new folder Enfold (4.5) into the empty folder on the FTP* (wp-content/themes/enfold)
* if this goes wrong, just replace the content of the “old” Enfold folder from your backup
6. Login to the website and go to Enfold – Theme Update. Place the registration code into the Token-field and press the button.– If you get the blue box-message “we were able to connect to Envato…” than you complete the mission.
– If it takes too long and nothing happens. Just press the save button, delete the code and save again. Then log out, empty cache of the browser and log in again. Go to Enfold – Theme Update and place the registration code (again) into the Token-field and press the button. Now it properly will work.Important: if it doesn’t work and you will see a blank page after upgrading to 4.5. Than the PHP of the hosting-server is too old and cannot handle with Enfold 4.5. In that case (I had that issue) just replace the complete “old” backup folder back and contact the hosting
Ik hope this wil work for you and for others. It takes some time but it works for me.
Greetings from Marcel
October 22, 2018 at 9:10 pm in reply to: Performance/speed website too slow (using custom Widgets) #1025116Hi Victoria,
Thanks fo your message. I will take a look for upgrading PHP but that isn’t the problem. On almost every single desktop computer (Window’s/Mac) with fast internet the page will load the first time within 7/8/9 full seconds. That’s too slow for the users and I had some complains already :-(
Maybe another solution with the script-loading of the Widgets?
Greetings from Marcel
October 22, 2018 at 4:53 pm in reply to: Can not update to ENFOLD 4.4.1 ( on all our websites ) #1024982Hi there,
But now a new problem is going on. Almost all websites will work with the update by FTP. But the new Token Key doesn’t work. After creating the key, inclusive the 6 access-bullet-points, I receive by every single website the following message:
Last time we checked the token we were not able to connected to Envato
Purchases could not be accessed
Username could not be accessed (needed for your information only)
E-Mail could not be accessed (needed for your information only)Revalidate or remove the token
What is going wrong? I paid for all the Enfold Theme’s and now they seems to be illegal.
Greetings from Marcel
