Here you can see how it is shown in google chrome.
– icon should be a rectangle, but is square.
– icons are missing in front of the text
– icon for button go to top is also square.
and here in FireFox

Thank you, Vinay.
I have changed a few things in the layout and I think it is acceptable how it looks now. If it has to be changed later on, I will hier someone to help me out.
Best wishes, Eline
I will check it with the guys from Event manager to find a solution. Thank you so far for helping me to find the solution.
Best regards, Eline
Thanks for your support and solutions, but I tried what you said, but didn’t work. I found another solution, I changed the layout. There is an portfolio grid which came close to what i wanted to present (1 column side by side). so I have taken that one and it looks great now.
Thanks again for all your help.
I’ve put the code you gave in the functions.php, and did what you mentioned above, but nothing happens.
Maybe I am looking in the wrong place, but I can’t find the “order’ field when I adjust the events.
It is strange cause at the backend WordPress sorts the events on the right way and if there are all these default options, it should be possible, i think.

I have done what you said and turned on the custom css class field, but it is not working.
What should i put in front of the code is it okay like this?
border: 20px solid gray;
and than in the custom css class field: section1
Because this didn’t work. I tried also with a # or without, but no succes.

Sorry that it took me some time, the project was delayed, but now I am working on it again.
I have made an admin account for you. Hopefully you can help me with this strange problem.
In the past days i have been trying to solve it, but nothing worked.
Best wishes, Eline
Thanks for your super quick response.
I tried it right away, but it didn’t work. The other sort options, like on title or, last modified, that works, but not on date. I have used Event Manager, can it be something with how the date is recognized. Does it have to be a certain way writing the date? I used now dd/mm/yy and l d F Y .
Sorry for my late response, but the project was resceduled and now I am back again.
I tried it, but didn’t work and i keep the same problem, when I make the screen smaller or bigger it looks not nice. Would you please have a closer look? Hope you can help me with this.

Thank you for your reply. I have checked this morning with the code guys, but it is too much time/money to solve it like that. Somebody told me that Facebook has a solution. I think I am going to try that, cause this website is made to sponsor the Papuan people and completely made by volunteers (including me), so there is no money the spend extra on development.

I am sorry I have seen other people combine questions and I thought that the problems with the layout might have to do with each other, thats the reason why I put it in one ticket. And I understand that you are probably very busy with answering all these questions, so I thought it would save you time. But I understand that I have to split it up in separate tickets, so this is ticket for 1.)
To check this, i used Google chrome and safari and I have OS X El Capitain. Also on mobile (iphone 6) same problem occurs.
The grey box is not behaving the same like the other boxes.March 3, 2016 at 7:47 pm in reply to: How to place a background image inline with text and surrounding images? #592864March 3, 2016 at 7:33 pm in reply to: How to place a background image inline with text and surrounding images? #592844
and for point 3, I mean the white caption text on the photo. I would like to align the text from the left and in every image at the same distance.
I tried it with this, but it doesn’t give the right result.

Thank you for the CSS for point 2, but I have the same problem om another page. Is there anther way that i can build a colored text box, which functions like this. Maybe I didn’t do in the right way. If there is. please let me know.
Here two screenshots from the page http://www.meander-bv.nl/collecties/March 3, 2016 at 7:17 pm in reply to: How to place a background image inline with text and surrounding images? #592825
Thank you for your answer. I think I didn’t explain point 1 very well.
At the home page I have six rectangles, which (should) look the same and must scale in a similar way when the screen expands and contracts, but that is not the case now.
I’ve three srceenshots to show what happens.

Thanks for your answer and good to know that it is not possible (yet). I have solved it now by showing some parts only at the desktop version an made a lot of new images which are only showing on mobile. The only thing now is that the menu on mobile is not function good. All the sub links are working, but the main menu items don’t work. Do you know how to solve this? I could’t find any earlier topic about this.

I am sorry that I am asking again, but I really would like to solve it.
Could you please let me know if it is easy to solve, or what a solution could be? Or if these elements have to be build in a different way to keep the same effect on mobile, thats also good to know, but my client really wants to have a good mobile version. I hope you can help me out.

Can you tell me if there is a solution for this? Or how I have to change the color sections in to something else so it works like the desktop version?January 21, 2016 at 4:57 pm in reply to: Mobile website color sections not functioning and not responsive #569478
Yes i think that where it is all about. Maybe it is really easy to fix, but I really can’t find it.
The problem is, that the desktop version looks good, there it looks like if there are two layers on top of each other, but on the mobile version it looks completely different! Images are not fixed like on the desktop, the whole website became one big image, with double images, which looks really not nice.
Also the banners with the bleu lined houses, which I made in a color section, are not ‘shrinking’ enough to see them on a screen that small. I hope you understand what I mean and hopefully there is a solution for it.

When you resize the browser to the smallest size, than you don’t see the problem. But if you open the website on a iphone (6), there you can see what the problem is.
It looks if the parts are not scrolling any more, it has just became one big image the whole website, without sliding layers. Also the color sections are not in the right size. It looks if they stay to big.
It took some screenshots from my iphone, but I am not sure if you can see it here, cause these are static images. So you do not see the missing effect.
Hopefully you are able to see it on a phone, because than you can see that everything is scrolling instead of only a few parts.
website adress is now: http://www.svdw.nl/
I tried to find the solution in all the topics but could not find one. I will open a new topic, than.
Thanks for your help.
Best wishes, Eline
Thanks, it worked.
But now the following problem arises on mobile it looks strange. Also all other elements made with the color section are not functioning on mobile.
Above and under most text blocks I have a picture in a color section and on screen it looks like the text moves over the photo, but on mobile you see two the same pictures. First one above the text and the second underneath the text, which looks very strange. Is there a solution to make this responsive?
