    Hi,

what a nightmare. I managed to get rid of the behaviour in the end. Not just deactivating but deleting the plugins and updating wordpress did the trick. Last workaround was using an older version of Enfold. The frontend was bye the way not compromised.

If I can reproduce the issue I will report the actual solution here. Now the problem is not solved, but gone anyway.
    Thank you for your efforts!

    Thank you!

Tracked down the issue further myself.
Comparison in the source code of two of my projects with enfold it seems there is the same code block regarding the polyfill.
But on the problematic installation there are these “defer”-parts which I can not get rid of in any way.
Do you have suggestions for that?

While trying to get something out of your post now I thought: Could you have meant me to see the troubleshooting area at the end of the Layout Builder introduction page?
Please excuse me, but I think this is not leading into the right direction.
Could you please review the original post up above? This seems not to be about general troubleshooting.

    Thank you!

    Hello Vinay,

I am sorry but something seems not to work for me there. Somewhere in the top left corner of the rectangle you provided is a hidden link to the layout builder. But this is general information which I would not want to go through generally since to me there is something seemingly not working instead of me not knowing how to use it. Seacrhing the rectangle with the mouse nothing else came up.

Could you provide the link in a textual form that could help me resolve the above mentioned issue, please?

    Thank you!

    Hello Victoria,

and thank you for the offer, but there’s no need to:
    It’s already solved, everythings’s fine.

    Til next time :)

    er… what?

in reply to: Cookie Consent Message / Modal Window #962338

    Hi Ismael,

yes, the button is now implemented. Thank you for checking.
Another problem seems to be more persistent: the styling for the cookie consent bar I set in the special element styling does not work on several of my Enfold projects. Although I set i.e. a background color, it stays dark greay 10%transparent. Is this a known issue? Are any workarounds for this already known?
    Thanks and keep it up!

    Solved.
On this GDPR mayhem day I overlooked the help given directly under the shortcodes.
    Syntax is [shortcode]my translation[/shortcode]

    Rock’n’roll!

    Ha! Today it’s different.
Yesterday the cookie and privacy section in the theme menu came up completely w/o the section for the button(s). Then it was saved in this way, of course. Today the section is back and editable, so after saving the buttun is there and working.
Could it be a local or at least browser related issue? (I work in Chromium on a 64bit Windows system). Only change I can see is the systems fresh start.

Same here, there is no way to dismiss the cookie bar.
Dunno how to give the credentials to you to investigate further :D
    update Ah. Now I see…

    Update!

I disabled the combining and relocated the layer slider to work around the issues.
Combining css and js relies much, as I understand it, on the compatibility of plugins. I will sort out this myself.
The question about using the layer slider element in columns remains.

    Just a second, Edelabarre,
IF the theme now requires PHP7
THEN just upgrade to some PHP7 stable that your hoster provides.
    Solved!

    Hey Yigit,

    that helped, thank you.
I am rolling on 7.70 now, just in case it helps someone with the same error.

    Same error here:
Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /[…]/wp-content/themes/enfold/header.php on line 6

Happened for my english version of the site right after updating the theme from 4.2.3 to 4.2.6.
Besides… where do I find the ressources for a rollback?

in reply to: Enfold theme showing plugin update #913677

Same issue here on most of my enfold installations. My customers keep asking if I do my webmaster job thoroughly, the “red 1” keeps poking in their eyes :( I do not like this situation and for the longest time I did not even know what it is about. As far as I understand it, it’s about the layer slider?
Please keep trying to solve it.
