  • Hi,

    you can use Widget logic: http://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-logic/ to show or hide widgets with conditionals. Eg the is_archive() conditional will be true on archive pages, the is_search() conditional will be true search pages. Afaik it’s not easily possible to show/hide widgets based on the user search because this would require some coding (eg a function which checks the user input and based on the search terms it displays certain widgets).

    in reply to: Problem with portfolio filtering & paging #121695

    This is not a bug but the expected behavior because the isotope script ( http://isotope.metafizzy.co/ ) just rearranges/sorts/filters all existing entries on the current page and it won’t load any new content (additional entries, etc.) from other pages (eg with ajax, etc.) – thus if the user clicks on the filter links on page 1 it just sorts/filter all items on page 1 without loading items from the pages 2,3,4,5,etc.

    That said there’s no “fix” – maybe we’ll add an ajax filter to the theme but we have no concrete plans yet. You can also add your idea to the wishlist: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-feature-requests

    in reply to: Please contribute and translate Enfold #114931

    The sad thing is that you can’t translate LayerSlider with the theme po/mo file because it’s limited to the theme texdomain – you just need to translate the avia_framework strings. If you want to translate the LayerSlider plugin too use this po file as the starting point: http://www.mediafire.com/?jdxph0kvzm7rynn (rename it, translate it to your language) and then place the mo/po files into the enfoldconfig-layersliderLayerSliderlanguages folder.

    in reply to: BLOG dosent show correct + BBPRESS question #121470

    1) Kriesi used the “Advanced Layout Builder” to add the blog. Just select your front page on the theme options page, then go to Pages > View All and edit the page (which you selected as front page). Then switch to the “Advanced Layout” Builder and add a “Blog” element to it.

    2) Yes, but it requires some custom work and coding skills. For the “purchased item” validation you can buy a plugin like: http://codecanyon.net/item/envato-purchase-code-verifier-for-bbpress/3758462 – however it will only work with envato marketplace items.

    in reply to: Rollover disc arrow replacement – PART 2 #121210

    Only style.css will be replaced automatically. If you create a functions.php file it won’t replace the parent theme functions.php but it will be loaded in addition to the standard functions.php. You can use it do define new functions or to overwrite existing ones ( http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes ).

    Hi!

    The problem is caused by following line:

    <li>Parkplätze unmittelbar am Haus

    There’s no closing list tag

    </li>

    or the opening tag is useless. Please always check your code for html errors…

    in reply to: Slider for pages #121235

    Hey!

    No, the post slider does not support pages. It just supports posts and custom taxonomies (which can be used to query custom post types).

    I tagged this thread for Devinv because he can test your website on a Mac. I tested it on Win8 with Chrome and it seems to work for me: http://www.screenr.com/0a8H

    in reply to: contact form not working… #118625

    Do you guys have a Mac you could use to try it on?

    Yes, Kriesi actually develops all themes on a Mac. However if it’s a browser problem it must be something device specific (browser extension which is just installed on your Mac, etc.) because I’m not aware of another bug report so far and if it really affects all Macs we’d get a lot more bug reports regarding the same issue.

    I’ll tag this thread for Devin – afaik he can test it on a Mac too.

    and save the entry. Then you can switch to the “advanced layout” editor and edit the content. You also need to add a custom background image to the color section.

    in reply to: Lightbox on preview images… #121338

    Try following – in wp-contentthemesenfoldincludeshelper-post-format.php replace:

    $prepend_image = get_the_post_thumbnail(get_the_ID(), 'large');

    with

    $linkimg = wp_get_attachment_image_src(  get_post_thumbnail_id(), 'full' );
    $prepend_image = get_the_post_thumbnail(get_the_ID(), 'large');
    $prepend_image = '<a href="'.$linkimg.'">'.$prepend_image.'</a>';

    in reply to: change default blog layout #121249

    Hey!

    No, archive pages do not support the template builder and you need to modify the archive.php file, etc. manually.

    Best regards,

    Peter

    in reply to: Background problem… #121302

    Hi!

    none is not a valid color value – try following code instead:

    .single .main_color .big-preview {
    background-color: transparent;
    }

    or

    .single .main_color .big-preview {
    background-color: transparent !important;
    }

    in reply to: Possible bug in sorting function of accordion #120955

    Hey!

    Yes, tbh I guess it makes more sense to display the “all” sort filter at the very beginning. I’ll tag this thread for Kriesi.

    in reply to: Possible bug in sorting function of accordion #120953

    Hey!

    Yes the { and } brackets were missing. I corrected the code above.

    Regards,

    Peter

    I’d use a conditional: http://www.quirksmode.org/css/condcom.html instead – add following code to header.php (before the closing head tag):

    <!--[if lt IE 9]>
    <style>
    .slide-image img {
    height: 100%;
    max-height: 228px;
    }
    </style>
    <![endif]-->

    in reply to: Please contribute and translate Enfold #114926

    You need to generate a .mo file (compiled version of the po file). Open up ru_RU.po with Poedit and then save it. Poedit will create two files – ru_RU.po and ru_RU.mo. Upload/Place both files into the enfold/lang directory and the translation should work. We’ll improve the compatibility with the Codestyling plugin with the next update – then you don’t need to use Poedit, etc. but you can use Codestyling to translate the theme on the wordpress admin page.

    in reply to: Modifying Breadcrumb Header #121152

    In this case revert the changes I posted above and insert following code at the very bottom of functions.php. This code will also work with advanced layouts:

    add_filter('avf_title_args', 'change_prtf_title', 10, 2);
    function change_prtf_title($args, $id){

    if(is_single() && get_post_type() == 'portfolio')
    {
    $terms = get_the_terms( $id, 'portfolio_entries' );
    foreach ($terms as $term) {
    $args['title'] = $term->name;
    break;
    }
    }
    return $args;
    }
