Hello Ismael,
Is it possible to disable the default “don’t play media on mobile” for a video background on a Color Section element?
https://flowismedicine.com/We’d like the video on the background to play for all devices/platforms. Using a Layer Slider seems convoluted for this simple element… and will also mess with the current text animations in place via a plugin.
Sincerely,
GregJune 22, 2022 at 10:33 pm in reply to: Fullwidth Button Styles Not Working (Beyond Fitness) #1356214hello Ismael,
It is working now – I just ran updates that were waiting, including the Enfold Theme… maybe it was that.

Thank you,
GregHello Rikard,
OK – it is back to normal. I only disabled the footer.php file, not knowing that the header.php was associated.
All is working properly – thank you for your quick response. This post can be closed.

GregOK – we can close this thread/post.
Thank you everyone :-)
I am wondering if there is merit in finding out why the styles suddenly quit loading… ??
Thank you, Mike.
Are you, and other support people, of the mind that it is not worth pursuing why the font sizes and family changed without any Admin interaction?
~ Greg
Hello Rikard,
You can see some white text, barely visible – the screenshots have my mouse courser pointing to it.
The third screen shot is from the WayBackMachine archive – that’s what it used to look like. To my knowledge, no changes were done by us to “break” the styles of the elements.

Hello Rikard,
Something else is going on, though… Now all the sub text is “tiny”.
Did a style in the CSS for the slider change?~ Greg
Hello Rikard,
I am going to be jumping in to this project tomorrow morning (pacific time).
Can we keep this open a few more days?

Hello Rikard,
And now… alas – the time has come to wrangle this ungainly mess so that it works for mobile.
I’d like to start with the header element: logo, socket (2nd nav), and main nav.Is it possible to load a different menu for mobile? Also – all could be white font on a solid blue color – instead of attempting the diagonal “cut” of the blue where the logo is.
I’m open to other points, ideas, etc.
Sincerely,
GregHello Nikko,
That did it – sorry about that.
I thought I had checked the child-theme folder…
This case can be closed. Thank you for your quick response.

Hello Rikard,
That was it!! Didn’t even think to look at the column element for having a link…
d’oh!
Thank you – this can be closed,
GregHello Rikard,
Here you go… (in private content area)
Thank you,
GregFYI: still dealing with client changes with desktop (overall) site version. Thank you for keeping this open right now. I will circle back to this when appropriate. greg
Hello Rikard,
Well – for me the main menu isn’t becoming a “hamburger” menu on my phone.
Losing the secondary menu and getting the main menu to load correctly will be a good start…
I think I can work with the remaining elements.
Sincerely,
GregHello Rikard,
Thank you – I see the secondary menu links now working.
I just checked what is developed so far on mobile. “sigh”
Any thoughts on the right direction for adapting things so it looks professional on mobile/phone?
Sincerely,
GregHello Rikard,
It is still in place.
FYI,
GregHello Rikard,
Closer – the sub-menu/secondary menu in the upper right corner now is seen – but the links aren’t active for me (Windows 10 / Chrome Version 94 – up-to-date).
I also tested with FF – same experience.
(I’m currently attempting to place the main nav in the center of the white bar. It might be accomplished when you look.)
FYI,
GregHello Rikard/Support,
I’ve got it close.
I’ve placed the ADMIN info in the Private Content area.
This is the mockup I am attempting to create: header-mockup.png.
Right now, I am stuck with having the header bg image show – and have the secondary menu on top of it. So far, I keep losing one or the other as I change z-index… and attempting to place the bg image via my own css didn’t work either.
My unique css is in the Theme Editor file. There is a Child Theme.
Any help is appreciated.
Sincerely,
GregP.S. can the search element can be screen right like on the mock-up, instead of attached to the menu? gw

Thank you both.
I am going to get a start on things and circle back for aid.
Can we keep this open for a week or so while I get some work into the effort? The image didn’t come through… here is a direct link:
Google Drive linkHello Guenni007,
I really appreciate you taking the time to write the unique code you did!
It is working – I just need to tweak the look now (bring menu and logo closer together, etc.). I think this is CSS stuff I can do…
Again, thank you for your support with this – code works like a charm.
Sincerely,
GregFYI: i am just getting back to this… I’ll attempt this solution today
I know this post is a bit dated – it might be appropriate for what I need… with a little more direction.
(Let me know if you want me to start a new post)
I am using Logo center, menu below and Header size = Large via the Admin settings.
I want to keep this for the homepage.
For all the inner pages, I want the Logo left, menu right – with the logo reduced in size so the menu is the main element in the header.
May I get some help with this?
Would creating a template for the inner pages be the wise move? (If so, can you direct me to get me started?)ok – we can close this topic.
Thank you :)
That did it! Thank you, Nikko :-)

hello Nikko/support,
just making sure this is on the radar since i dropped off for a few days…
~ Greg
Hello Nikko,
Sorry – took me a bit to get back to this.
A dev site is now set-up:
https://ipad.marshallhallridingacademy.comI’ve placed the ADMIN credentials in private content area.
Standing by,
GregP.S. main concern is to have the mobile menu load for iPads in landscape mode. gw
Hello Nikko,
The suggested code above hides the menu – and didn’t change things for iPads held in landscape display.
I removed the code since it makes navigating impossible with an ipad and they have some live campaigns.
Should I move this to a dev site for experimentation?
~ Greg
Hello Nikko,
We can close this ticket – your code is working perfectly.
(And I appreciate the suggestion for two columns.)
Sincerely,
Greg -
