  • Hi Rikard,

    you can close the ticket.

    Best regards,
    Dirk

    Hi Rikard,

    sorry for the late reply!
    Meanwhile we separated the shop to the subdomain and fixed the issues.

    Unfortunately we had to pay extra for the Enfold support and really waited long time to get your reply which finally didn’t bring any results.
    I didn’t expect that it’s that complicated, but luckily we found a solution.

    Best regards,
    Dirk

    Hi Rikard,

    unfortunately we can’t do it because of security reasons and mainly for a consisting bug in former versions of WooCommerce Bookings which effected the workflow of the booking system. That’s why we had to update and now have to deal with the issues in the frontend.

    The only way out right now seems to be to outsource the whole shop to a subdomain using a different theme and run the other part of the website with Enfold. That’s what we try out on another staging site, but it would be great to have a solution for the existing system on the live site.

    Best regards,
    Dirk

    Hi Rikard,

    I guess the WooCommerce team didn’t see that the issues come from the “Product Video for WooCommerce” plugin. I’ll ask them again – whatever, we still get the issues and have to find a way to get rid of.

    Yes, we rolled back to Enfold 5.1.1 and the Woo plugins before the updates and don’t get any Booking calendar issues in the frontend or other errors. Please check the private link. I hope this helps clarifying?

    Best regards,
    Dirk

    Hi Rikard,

    yes the behaviour is the main issue and it’s gone if we switch to a different theme. How can we fix it?
    There’s a missing PNG from dynamic_avia on the live site.

    Best regards,
    Dirk

    Hi Rikard,

    yes I disabled all caching and minification of CSS and Javascript, but still get the error notes.
    I also ran a conflict test by disabling all plugins to find the source but couldn’t manage to fix the frontend error notes.

    The froogaloop file seems to be related to the “Product Video for WooCommerce” plugin, but even by disabling it, the errors still consist. You can see this state at the staging site (copy) now.

    Best regards,
    Dirk

    You see it in my first 2 screenshots! If you choose any of the products in the categories, you’ll able to reproduce the errors.
    I updated my last second screenshot too and hope this helps?

    Hi Rikard,

    thanks for your reply! Meanwhile we contacted the WooCommerce support and updated to the latest Enfold 5.2.1.

    You can reproduce the error on both sites I linked if you choose a product, start and end date and the button “Verfügbarkeit prüfen”. Depending on the speed you choose dates and the button it creates both error notes I posted before. On the page of each product you see that the calendar is loading a couple of seconds and the loading time varies a bit between the staging and live site, which is related to missing files of the Enfold theme (PNG, CSS, JS).

    We found out what is happening here, because some files of the theme are missing, the calendar ajax request “wc_bookings_find_booked_day_blocks” will be set to pending until the site either retrieves or marks as failed with a 404 error for the missing files. So, until the site doesn’t mark the missing files as missing and loads all the files from the theme, the calendar will not load. In the following example, you can see how the calendar took 6.25 seconds to load:

    calendar load 1

    The calendar took that time to load because of the following files that were missing from the theme:

    calendar load 2

    The calendar’s loading time is causing the issues in the frontend and because of this customers already cancel their bookings both on desktop and smartphone usage, because they failed to complete the booking requests!

    Can you please check what’s going wrong and why theme files are missing?

    Best regards,
    Dirk

    Hi, we really need help on this and didn’t get a reply yet?

    Meanwhile we updated to the latest Enfold 5.2 and the error still exists.
    What we found out is that it consists while clicking too fast: Choosing start and end date very quickly creates the errors, either the first or second (as seen in the screenshot). Waiting a bit before choosing the dates results in a successful shopping cart action.

    For the backend performance:
    Before the update we disabled the LayerSlider Plugin in the Theme Settings and the performance was fast again.
    After the update we had to enable it, because all our sliders were gone, even if we didn’t use the LayerSlider Plugin!

    Hi Rikard,

    thanks a lot, this works like a charm! :)

    Best regards,
    Dirk

    Hi Rikard,

    meanwhile I updated to the latest Enfold version 4.8.3 and also updated the “Product Video for WooCommerce” plugin.
    Unfortunately the provided CSS doesn’t seem to work anymore.

    #top .single-product-main-image .feat_image a {
        width: 96% !important;
    }

    This affected the thumbnail sizes before, we had 6 small ones down under the main product image.

    I got this new CSS from the developers:

    .Addify_Product_Videos-thumbnails a {
        width: 60px !important;
        padding: 0px !important;
    }
    .feat_image {
    	margin-top:-15px;
    }

    wich is doing well, but only for products including a product video. I’ll post 2 links from the new test site to show what I mean:

    Works fine here…

    No effect, way bigger thumbnails …

    I hope you can help again?

    Best regards,
    Dirk

    Hey Yigit,

    that’s great!!! Thanks a lot :)

    Thanks Yigit!
    If there’s no duplicate, this should work. The layout of the “You might also like” Demo is too much customizing, I guess?

    Hi Yigit,

    the former credentials are still valid and I post it below.
    Hope this helps, would be great to come close to what is in the Demo ;)

    Hi Yigit,

    thanks for your help.

    I tried using the Blog Posts element and copied one post (not published) to find the right settings coming close to the layout in your Demo.
    Could you please check it? Something must be missing and not all posts (we have only 5 yet) are displayed.

    We used tags as well, but for now I used Taxonomy > Category and Grid Layout with 4 cols, manual Thumbnail Size and Title only. For the Filter I chose All Posts and for Offset duplicates not allowed.

    It would be great showing them all with maximum 6 of the newest in the future and no duplicates.

    Best regards,
    Dirk

    Hi Yigit,

    thanks for the new code, it works like a charm! :)

    Only thing left is the similar posts (“You might also like”) in the Layout Builder. How can I use this?
    Having suggested posts as in the Demo above the comments would attract more people.

    Best regards,
    Dirk

    Hey Yigit,

    thanks for helping!
    Now the whole container (including Header) is extending. I meant only the Masonry container didn’t extend before. I post a screenshot to show how it should be on larger screens.

    Enabling the post navigation on mobile is an option, but we also want to use the similar posts (“You might also like”) from the Demo as well above the comments on a single post page. How can I do that with the Layout Builder?

    Best regards,
    Dirk

    Hi,

    The element is actually responsive but it does not work well with too much excerpt. It is suppose to highlight the featured images, not be covered with text.

    So why is what I expected exactly seen in the Enfold example page?
    I didn’t try the Flexible Masonry, or is this the layout in the example above?

    Unfortunately your latest provided CSS doesn’t work, the container doesn’t extend. Could you check this with your Admin credentials or change it?

    And I still don’t have a clue, how to get a post navigation in the single posts! This is part of this post and Rikard also responded to my questions about the single posts above…

    Best regards,
    Dirk

    Hi Ismael,

    unfortunately the CSS only extends the height, I tried “min-width: 1800px” and “padding-bottom: 250px”.
    The issue is that the whole container is too narrow and doesn’t extend to the whole page width as before (screenshot).

    Meanwhile it’s getting more and more complicated. Why is the Masonry Blog not responsive and has to be customized that much?

    And again: How can I add the post navigation (previous and next post) on the post page itself using the Layout Builder?

    Best regards,
    Dirk

    in reply to: Masonry Blog not as expected #1296146

    Hi Ismael,

    I used the code with 120% and it’s ok on a 15″ MacBook, but doesn’t do the trick on larger screens or responsive. Please check it.
    It’s also depending on the text length of the excerpt I enter or the already existing title so the image height is not even.

    Is there another solution?
    And how to get a post navigation on each post page above the comments, I couldn’t find it in the Layout Builder?

    Best regards,
    Dirk

    in reply to: Masonry Blog not as expected #1295747

    Hi Ismael,

    it happens exactly what I described before. If I enter more text than the 2 words you did, there’s is only text and image and title disappear.
    Looks like the Entries Box has a fixed height? I want the box to extend below as in your example page or in my screenshot. Now I removed the text and there is an automatical excerpt on the Blog page (only for the first post) and the image is cut off.

    Please check this.

    The other task is to get a post navigation on each post page above the comments, I couldn’t find it in the Layout Builder?

    Best regards,
    Dirk

    Hi Ismael,

    I activated the same cretentials for you.
    I’d like to achieve a design similar like this, which means 15px margin around the entries and more space for the text excerpt below.

    Great, if you can help?

    Best regards,
    Dirk

    in reply to: Masonry Blog not as expected #1294559

    Hi Ismael,

    I only added text in the Excerpt box as mentioned and was expecting that it’s shown below the post image and title.
    I need a solution for controlling the output in the Masonry, so that the text excerpt shows up.

    Best regards,
    Dirk

    in reply to: Masonry Blog not as expected #1294286

    Hi Ismael,

    that’s what I meant: “Once I activate the Excerpts box for each post…” – so I activated Excerpt for each post, put some text in and saved it.
    In the Masonry this text is only displayed and not the combination of image, title and some text down under. In the Masonry settings I enabled Title and Excerpt.

    Controling the output of this would be great…

    Best regards,
    Dirk

    in reply to: Masonry Blog not as expected #1294211

    Hey, there is only one little thing missing.

    Because I created the posts with the Layout Builder, text excerpts are not visible on the Blog page.
    Once I activate the Excerpts box for each post I only see this excerpt text in the Masonry. I’d like to have the post image, headline and the excerpt as seen in the Enfold Masonry example page.

    How can I control this?

    Best regards,
    Dirk

    Hi Rikard,

    that’s exactly what was missing! Great, now I changed everything to our needs.

    Thanks a lot for helping, great support ;)

    Best regards and have a nice day!!!

    Hi Rikard,

    I updated to the latest version (4.8.1) and the Blog page shows the post, great!
    Now it’s closer to the Enfold Masonry example page, but the single posts still don’t show any dates, comments, category or tags.

    Could you please check, which settings are wrong or missing? I posted the credentials for you.

    Best regards,
    Dirk
