    Hi!

Since the link is within the page it should just be #connect and not the entire url. That tells the browser to go to that link and then to the anchor instead of just to the anchor.

in reply to: Enfold theme markup validation errors #244288

    Hey!

The theme doesn’t, or rather, shouldn’t create any orphaned paragraph tags so that would be a fix you would be able to and should do on your content.

The inline styling tags are a must-have however since its how the theme creates the content.

in reply to: mobile menu disappeared after upgrade #244234

    Hey!

Can you provide admin login credentials so we can take a look at the dev site from the backend. Set the reply as private so that only we can see.

This isn’t an issue that others have had as you can imagine with 20k instances of the theme out there we would have a huge influx of reports if it was a theme bug.

    Cheers!

    Hey Tupolev!

This video gives a good intro into using the Mega Menu to create the kind of menu layouts in the demo: https://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/67651241

in reply to: changing the colors of tabs in content element #244228

    Hi!

Each of those is already listed within the css above. If you need further assistance in customizing the individual elements we recommend looking into a freelance developer from somewhere like Microlancer, Codeable or http://kriesi.at/contact/customization

Individual customization like the above is outside of what we cover through support but we will often provide it as long as our current queue is low. For right now its unfortunately quite high so if you need more detailed customization a freelance developer is the best route to go.

    Hey Marcus M.!

I don’t see it in the files in the main theme so I’m not sure what you mean by missing. Is there an error saying that its missing on the front end somewhere?

in reply to: Enfold Parallax SEO #244022

    Hey cavanaughb!

I’m not sure any of us have a good answer here. SEO is kind of a mess of a topic from my point of view since everyone thinks they have the *best* answer and the “pros” are constantly justifying their opinion to keep making a living.

Generally I think a single page site would make it easier to have a good target for searches but would also mean the content is more sensitive. So you would need to be more careful not to over optimize it to prevent the text from getting marked down.

in reply to: Avia Layout Builder clashing with MailPoet plugin #244016

    Hi!

Plugin and theme settings are saved in your database so removing a plugin shouldn’t remove its settings unless that specific plugin has a script to do so.

You can ask the authors directly if that is the case.

in reply to: Fullscreen slider srcoll down bug – page 2 #244015

    Hey!

I’m not entirely sure if multiple full screen sliders will work on a page. The whole rendering scheme of a *full-screen* slider is that it takes up the entire screen on load. So if it isn’t visible it may not be able to calculate the screen size correctly.

I’ll tag the topic for Kriesi to look into but my suggestion would be not to use a second fullscreen slider and instead use a color section or fullwidth slider there instead in case Kriesi’s solution is to prevent multiple fullscreen sliders on the same page (if it isn’t something that can have multiple instances).

in reply to: Internet Explorer Rendering Issues #244012

    Hi!

There have been a number of theme updates since the version which is live on your site which should help the site issues in IE. So updating to the most recent version is the best first step.

When you do update you will need to re-set up the header or at the very least make sure that the settings are how you would like them since 2.6 introduced a whole new header layout system.

For a quick guide on updating your theme take a look at this video on updating the Enfold theme via FTP: https://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/67209750

in reply to: Enfold extremly slow #244010

WordPress speed optimization is a huge topic by itself. Your best route would be to use a caching plugin like W3, compress all over your images to their smallest possible size and/or look into a CDN for them.

On top of that see if your hosting provider has any plans that you can upgrade to that are within your budget for the site. Ultimately its the server which has the greatest impact on how a site runs.

in reply to: ENFOLD + WOOCOMMERCE : Problem #244007

    Hey!

What do you mean by force client to be active? It sounds like there may have been something corrupted in the “live” sites database if there are display issues happening there but not on the clean install. Either that or another plugin causing a conflict.

Have you tried deactivating plugins and/or re-setting and saving your styling+theme options?

in reply to: Price tables are not responsive #244003

    Hey surgeprotect!

I’ve tagged Kriesi on the issue since the tables shouldn’t be getting the overlap that is happening on tablet size. The buttons being removed I believe is the correct behavior for how the theme handles tables since it re-builds them on mobile devices. Otherwise the tables would expand beyond the width of the users screen and get cut off (the default table behavior).

in reply to: How to attach a Section ID #244001

    Hi Ignazio!

You can use regular anchor links anywhere in your text/content.

Color sections unfortunately will always bee full width.

in reply to: Problems with Theme Options (Enfold) #244000

    Hey!

First you’ll need to update your theme files to the most recent version. Once that is done you can use the new header tab settings to update the header and fix it if needed since 2.6 had a big change in how the header layout is handled.

Then try deactivating any active plugins you have running and try saving you styling options again. The fact that the logo is not the default logo means that the theme options are in fact getting saved at least.

in reply to: Google Font Replacement #243998

    Hey!

While yes it has been done it isn’t really in the realm of what we cover through support. If using @font-face isn’t working for you can try asking on stack overflow, or as Yigit suggested using a plugin which takes the heavy lifting out of your hands.

The issue you are probably running into is that once you stop telling the theme to use the google font it is no longer selected in the css. So even if you are correctly loading in the font it isn’t styled. The font-face rules need to have accompanying css rules to then style your font as well.

    Cheers!

in reply to: Image uploading time #243264

    Hi costin!

The thumbnail creation is entirely dependent on the server and how fast it can process the request. The theme creates 11 sizes and WordPress itself creates 2-3.

So the short answer is yes :)

    Cheers!

in reply to: user not admin and admin bar not appears #243257

    Hey xpoveda!

This is unreleated to the theme and is an individual setting for each user if they want the admin bar to show. You can set it in your Users>Your Profile section.

If you want the admin bar to appear for *all* users see: https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/show_admin_bar

If you have questions or issues relating to that function they would need to be asked on the official WordPress.org forums.

    Cheers!

in reply to: Enfold Child Theme – Breaking CSS on page #243251

    Hi gorans!

    1) Any child theme set up as a child of enfold is compatible though when importing in the parent theme settings you may need to tweak things a bit. At the very least go into the styling options and re-save your settings and then the same in your WordPress menus manager.

    2) The functions.php has the settings for the layouts on lines 141-144. You can copy and past theme into your child theme to overwrite the data.

in reply to: Predefined width of the web browser window #243250

    Hey abedia!

No, not with css. It used to be possible with javascript but I think most browsers have now disabled it except for popups. You can try something like from this thread however: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5238603/javascript-set-browser-window-size

in reply to: Enfold to blame for thousands of session files in tmp? #243248

    Hi!

This is the first I’ve ever come across something like it so from the basic description you’ve given my guess would be either a plugin or a host setting. On my company dev server I’ve not had any issues and its been running various versions of the theme since its release.

Tweet Kriesi a link to your blog post or post it here and we can take a look deeper based on the additional information. Or if you have more information we can see you can post it here as a private reply.

in reply to: Ability to override included files in child themes #243245

    Hey Pedro!

This will most likely not ever happen unless WordPress core offers an implementation of it. There are actions and filters in place when a theme author wants to offer flexibility on sections and get_template_part for fully replacing files. On top of that there is if(!function_exists so that you can replace functions which are meant to and planned to be replaced.

With Enfold specifically, you can already completely overwrite the parent files by setting the use_child_theme_functions_only to true which lets you then include everything yourself.

At that point however you would be better off modifying the parent theme by forking it using something like git. Then track any changes and merge them into your new branch.

in reply to: Shop page question please #243243

    Hi evtilsley!

I’m not quite clear on what you mean or are trying to do. If you want to set up the regular WooCommerce shop page you can do that from the WooCommerce options by default. See:http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/quick-start-with-woocommerce/

The slider element would be for a singular instance of a few products on a page.

    Hi Christie!

See if the video here helps: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/install-enfold-over-ftp/

If there is one of many issues installing through the WordPress admin installing over FTP bypasses them pretty easily and without much fuss.

in reply to: Editing loop-comments.php As Child Theme File #243240

    Hey Redsand747!

That file is a function and not an actual template part. So you would add that function into your child functions.php file. Unfortunately it isn’t correctly wrapped in an check to make sure it hasn’t been called already so adding that function in to your child theme would actually break things.

So for right now, you would need to duplicate the comments.php and then where it calls the avia_inc_custom_comments function change that to call your own custom named function that has been customized and included into your functions.php or included as a separate file.

I’ll tag the function for Kriesi to wrap in a if exists check so its a bit easier to override in a child theme in the future.

in reply to: Enfold compatibility with Explorer 8 #243208

    Hi abedia!

IE8 doesn’t support a lot of modern css which is why there will be cases that it doesn’t look quite right. The header background should still show however so if you can provide a link to the site we’ll see whats going on.

The width is dependent on the browser support media queries which IE8 does not. You can use a plugin to try and force IE8 to use media queries as a hack: http://wordpress.org/plugins/respondjs/

    Regards,
    Devin

in reply to: Enfold extremly slow #243207

    Hi!

You can replace the whole contents of that file in that case or re-upload the theme files to overwrite them entirely (same thing an update does).

    Devin
