Just to clear up any misconceptions, WordPress 4.0 and Enfold version 2.9.2 have no conflicts. We have had 2-3 actual small bugs that have not warranted a bug fix release for the entire user base. As with just about every WordPress update where an internal js file was changed there are lots of caching issues that go along with updating that make it seem like odd errors are happening but eventually go away.
As for the main question, The memory footprint is higher because it uses a lot of ajax. That would be my only guess. I’ve installed hundreds of client sites, maintain quite a bit at the same time. Even using an extremely stripped down _s created theme I’m getting around 30mb of memory usage compared to my live dev install of Enfold that stands around 50.
If you look at what the theme is doing it is not a surprise that the memory needed is higher. In addition I’ve not noticed any increase since switching all my sites to 2.9.2 and now the beta version of 3.0 for a few of them.I’ve never seen any installation go up to 80mb however.
I’m using Query Monitor when testing in this case and checking with both WooCommerce and BBPress active on my enfold dev install and neither is active on my second _s theme.

The screenshot links aren’t working for me but i’m assuming you mean the border radius on the buttons. If so, that isn’t something we can fix as its a lack of support from IE8.

I’ve heard good things about Page.ly, Bluehost, Media Temple and in general most big names that you are paying ~20 a month for should be solid.
If you have specific needs for high storage, bandwidth or page views then it makes it easier to narrow it down.

The content on your page is entirely up to you. If you load if full of heavy, slow loading content then of course you would take a hit to page speed.
Its up to every individual find the balance of content and speed. A WordPress theme is an overall style guide for you to use and is not ever a one-step solution. LayerSlider, a plugin, alone will load in a considerable bulk of content to your page and simply replacing it with a static image could give you what you are looking for.

If, when you deleted WordPress from the hosting panel, it did not actually fully delete everything and instead set up to be written over the files in your themes folder could have stayed intact.

As far as I know it is still planned for this month. The major features have been in place for a while now but ultimately Kriesi decided when everything gets sent over to ThemeForest for approval :)

If you only deleted them you can go to your Pages>trash and bring them back. The trash link is at the top of the list of pages when you are viewing them.

Media queries don’t work in IE8. If you are using an ie8.css stylesheet it would need to be enqued or added into the header.php file with conditional ie code as well as be on your server so its available.

Make sure you are only uploading the enfold.zip folder if you are going through the WordPress admin. See: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/install-enfold-over-ftp/
At the start of the video I show the zip file from ThemeForest (the full download that includes the PSDs) and how I unzip it before copying it over to the server over FTP.
The same steps would apply for you except you would not unzip the theme folder since you are uploading the zip. You could also follow along and do the whole thing with FTP which is what I always recommend.

I’m not sure I understand. You can add space to the output using the options and the no margin option is specifically set up to have no margin.

Unfortunately it looks like you may have added in code that spilled over into the database for that widget. I tried removing it as well but was unable to get it to process.
In that case the only way that might work to clean it up would be to manually edit the database entry for the widgets. It should only be an hour for a freelance developer to fix if you want to pursue having it cleaned up.

The positioning of all the elements within LayerSlider is unfortunately not something you have individual control over. You need to space them out and use the Slideshows settings for “Responsive” to get the Desktop, Tablet and Mobile experience you want.
It takes some trial and error as well as a good bit of testing the more complicated the slide is.

You can create the icon shortcode in a blank page, publish the page so you get the generated html and then add the raw html to the description area.

DevinPlugins are not something you should be scared of using. Simple image sizes is a great plugin and keeps you from manually editing any files.
If you wanted to however you would remove the code from the functions.php within the theme. Keep in mind what you are removing and what effects that will have on images generated for front end use.

Go to your WordPress menus manager in the WordPress admin and you can assign a new menu. There is an issue with the dummy data import and 3.9.2 + WordPress 4.0 at the moment where the menu structure doesn’t get fully imported.
The next release will have a fix for it but in the mean time the only way to clean it up is manually just like you would be doing when setting up the menu for your own site.

Glad to hear it. There was a script update with WordPress and I know for many users it was an issue with their local cache trying to use the old script (either from Enfold or WordPress or both).
As for the ThemeForrest issue I wish there was something we could do about it but as of right now we can not. Kriesi provides support outside of ThemeForest voluntarily which is what the Premium support is. We simply don’t have access to or can even interact with Envato employees any more than you can as a user.
