Hey Madame_z!
Make sure you are on Enfold version 2.9.2. It was released just before WordPress 4.0 so that the theme would support the changes in WordPress.
For a quick guide on updating your theme take a look at this video on updating the Enfold theme via FTP: https://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/67209750
Cheers!
DevinHi!
Yes you need to use that widget since that is what the theme demo uses :)
Cheers!
DevinSeptember 18, 2014 at 7:00 pm in reply to: Demo import – Menu failure | Download counter with animated numbers #321395Hey!
There is currently a bug with the menu import but we weren’t planning on putting out a bug fix release since 3.0 is so close to being released and since every user will need to edit their menu for their own site anyway.
Take a look a this video for a bit of help on editing the menu and adding in Mega Menu functionality. The imported menu wasn’t able to include the mega menu in the demo data up either so we have the video to help:

DevinHey renee01!
No plans that I know of but if it isn’t already you can add it as a feature request to https://kriesi.at/support/enfold-feature-requests/
If its a must-have feature I would recommend a freelance developer who can add in the customization for you to a child theme. Codeable is the best place to hire someone specific to WordPress themes.
Cheers!
DevinHey @Elzean – Deactivate all active plugins and then try things again. There is definitely some server side slowness but when I checked just now I’m not actually getting any errors.
If the server is timing out the ajax calls to run the layout builder it may just be that you need to up your available memory even more than what it is or see if you can remove any of the plugins that are also running a lot of server requests from the admin.
Cheers!
DevinSeptember 18, 2014 at 6:47 pm in reply to: WordPress 4.0 and Enfold 2.9.2 Update – multiple theme functionality breaks #321384There should be no chance of that happening from writing over a theme or even completely breaking your theme folder. There would need to be something else involved for WordPress core to fail like that.
I would suggest first asking your hosting provider to do a site scan to make sure there are no malicious files or code anywhere in your installation.
Then FTP to your installation again and download your plugins and themes folders locally. After that you can delete the plugins folder and then delete all themes except for twentyfourteen from the themes folder so WordPress defaults back to it.
See if that gets you access to things again.
September 18, 2014 at 6:35 pm in reply to: WooCommerce single product page sidebars not showing up. #321374Yep, the content of the sidebar can be controlled from the single product page but not *if* there is a sidebar. That is inherited from the parent template because of how WooCommerce handles templating by default.
If the parent has it turned off, either by the theme wide option or the single page option, then it gets inherited for each single product page.
Hi webdesignIO!
Looks like how the plugin is trying to style the output isn’t compatible with the theme right now.
I’ll ask Kriesi if he wants to add support for it in a future update.
Best regards,
DevinHey!
Forms within the Code block are definitely breaking things though there is no immediate fix I can think of. Kriesi will need to take a look at escaping form fields within the code block

DevinSeptember 18, 2014 at 2:33 pm in reply to: How to get the videos in the Fullscreen slider to start right away? #321206Hey JamesGibas!
It all depends on the video, your connection to the host and then the browser for how it handles the player. For me on fibre your videos load almost instantly.
I don’t know of any plugin option that would transition things more smooth than what is in place now but maybe with some fancy javascript to prestart videos, pause them and then play when the next button is pressed. That is way beyond what we can assist with on the forums but if its a must have feature you could look into a freelance developer from somewhere like Codeable or Envato Studio.
Best regards,
DevinHi!
Not sure if it would be viable or not in this case. Almost anything you have in mind could be added in with a filter or with a small modification to the theme.
The way the builder data is saved to pages is one we discussed way way back internally. If I remember right the issue came down to the complexity of the shortcodes and user error. A single missed bracket would mean an entire page gets corrupted so moving it to another field hidden by default from the user and stored separately means that the pages are a bit harder to break.
Moving to a new theme later would be as difficult as moving to any new theme for a custom built site in my opinion. The images, text, and data would need to be completely reorganized since the entire theme would change. The post data would remained untouched and its why the layout builder is disabled there.
Kriesi doesn’t often jump on the forums so if you want to talk to him directly you would need to try http://kriesi.at/contact

It would be possible with customization but I don’t know of a plugin that does it for you unfortunately.
Regards,
DevinHey!
You can turn them on to show from the Screen Options for the Menus Manager. Go to the Menus manager and on the top right of the screen is the button to open up the screen options where you can check all the options you want to see.
Cheers!
DevinFor the two headlines, try deleting them>saving>re-adding them in. If that doesn’t work then add a color section below them into the content and move everything but the headlines into the color section>save>add the headlines again.
The logos are being cropped to the center. If the logo isn’t centered then when it gets resized to 80×80 it will not *fit* into the circle.
September 18, 2014 at 1:48 pm in reply to: Promo BoX Button not showing up after WP 4.0 upgrade #321161Hi!
In general support doesn’t include customization of individual theme elements. The best resource for that kind of customization is a freelance developer from somewhere like Codeable or Envato Studio. Kriesi even has a link for customization requests through WerkPress on the contact page: http://kriesi.at/contact .
For general whitespace you can use the HR element and choose whitespace.

DevinSeptember 18, 2014 at 1:43 pm in reply to: WooCommerce single product page sidebars not showing up. #321155Hi!
Its a bit unintuiative but single product pages have no customization options. The sidebar is inherited from the parent page which is the shop template.
So whatever is set to default there will fall down through the single product pages. The ‘default’ I meant is having either a left or right sidebar turned on which would just default all page templates to using a sidebar which would then mean the single products have the sidebar defaulted on as well.
I’ve asked Kriesi to look into adding a specific function for single product pages since it does cause questions like this.

DevinHi bpepermans!
You could try switching to one of the twenty something themes and then testing paging there.
The theme uses a very standard permalink structure for the portfolio custom post type which is why we always direct issues with permalinks to the codex entry on it (http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks#Fixing_Permalink_Problems).

DevinSeptember 18, 2014 at 1:32 pm in reply to: How to set the perfect portrait + landscape 'grid' in fullwidth masonry layout? #321146Hi!
See what you get with the masonry script as a standalone, its the same one we have in place: http://isotope.metafizzy.co/layout-modes/masonry.html
Cheers!
Devin@bjornwallman – Even if you installed a fresh copy of the theme on top of itself that file (/wp-content/themes/enfold/js/toucheffects.js) could be write protected so that it doesn’t get deleted.
If you aren’t checking errors when writing over things then it could have thrown an error that the file wasn’t able to removed or if you were only uploading the theme again it wouldn’t have been deleted.
So once again, the file toucheffects.js is not part of Enfold and ThemeForest wouldn’t let a theme with malware be uploaded for re-distribution anyway. They scan all files and must approve all updates before they can be rolled out.
September 17, 2014 at 8:56 pm in reply to: editor stopped working inenfold on upgrade to wp 4.0 #320727Hey matthewyunk!
First try deactivating all active plugins as there is likely a conflict there. You can re-enable them one by one to find the conflict once things are working correctly again.
Best regards,
DevinHi Ryan!
If you have not updated your theme files in the past week or so to Enfold version 2.9.2 you will need to do that to bring the theme up to date with the changes from WordPress 4.0.
See: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Best regards,
DevinHey luellaspark!
Are you on Enfold version 2.9.2? If you can provide admin credentials here as a private reply we can log in and take a look.
Cheers!
DevinSeptember 17, 2014 at 8:50 pm in reply to: Did Featured Image Size Change with Recent WordPress Update? #320723Hey connect4consulting!
It looks like your css is still in place and working from what I can see. This specifically is still making the image (img) 50%:
#top .fullsize .template-blog .big-preview img { width: 50%; margin: auto; }
Best regards,
DevinI’m not sure since that shouldn’t be happening at all. You could try deactivating plugins and then doing a quick re-install of the theme files to see if there is any conflicts as a first step.
Hey!
That should be pretty quick to accomplish by a freelance developer and the customization can be made to a child theme so that its more upgrade safe. I recommend either Codeable or Envato Studio and it should take one to two hours of time.

DevinSeptember 17, 2014 at 8:43 pm in reply to: WordPress 4.0 and Enfold 2.9.2 Update – multiple theme functionality breaks #320715Hey!
Try deleting the js folder and then re-uploading it. You are still somehow loading up the old prettyphoto folder which is no longer used.
Cheers!
DevinHi!
Just an FYI our support queue shows us oldest topics first. So when you self bump or update it moves the topic to the end of our queue.
To change the zoom you can modify the header. See: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/zoom-in-on-mobile-devides/#post-175234
Regards,
DevinHey!
The nature of what happens when a site is compromised has nothing to do with the theme. If the files are infected, they are infected.
Delete the theme from the server and re-upload it fresh like you did when first installing is all that is required to get the theme files alone back to a clean slate there.
Plugin files, newly created files or server side infections are completely separate and not something we have any ability to effect.
@bjornwallman – That file is not part of the theme files. You should delete it.Best regards,
Devin -
