February 17, 2014 at 2:07 am in reply to: Odd spacing in IE8 above LayerSlider and Color Section #224711
Hi!
Another recently mentioned that this plugin and script helps a lot with IE8 as depending on the exact build some things just don’t behave exactly as they should: http://wordpress.org/plugins/selectivizr/
It might just be a quick step to not need to do any other major changes since we are only a month or so away from Microsoft no longer supporting IE8 for good.
Cheers!
DevinFebruary 17, 2014 at 1:54 am in reply to: URGENT: My Site is showing up as Text only of Mobile Devices! #224705Hey!
I’m not seeing any issues with how the theme is displaying on mobile user agents now.
Cheers!
DevinThe dropdown should show Product Type, Product Cat and Product Tag for options as long as you have WooCommerce installed with tags and categories set.
Hey Jonathan!
You need to set your own logo in the theme options where you have the option to Upload a logo image:

DevinFebruary 16, 2014 at 5:29 am in reply to: Internet Explorer 10 and under compatibility issue #224472There could be an issue with how it renders things. Using IE8 – the actual browser in which are using a service to test for -is the absolute best check that can be done.
Peters check above is using an emulator as well and I can only guess that emulation presents and issue that otherwise isn’t there.
Hi!
Can you double check that when you visit the site it isn’t getting set to compatibility mode? By default the theme is responsive in all modern browsers including IE10 and IE11.

DevinFebruary 15, 2014 at 11:13 pm in reply to: How to insert element from default editor to page bulided with Avia builder? #224424Hey ledeno!
You should be able to add it to a Text element in the Avia Layout Builder since its a simplified visual editor.
Cheers!
DevinFebruary 15, 2014 at 11:11 pm in reply to: Broken css after clean install – what the hell goes wrong! #224423Hey Chris!
Make sure that your uploads folder has write permissions from WordPress. The theme stores your style options in the theme options>styling menu when you save them to a custom folder and file in the wp-content>uploads folder.
So if the folder isn’t writable for new folders it can prevent the theme from creating that file.
Cheers!
DevinThe function doesn’t replace the theme function. It filters the themes search (avf_ajax_search_function) with your own function which then your search function is used instead.
February 15, 2014 at 11:06 pm in reply to: Show comments on Portfolio pages (child theme version) #224414Hey Ronan!
There is now a Comments element in the Avia Layout Builder so there is no theme modification needed. You add the comments element wherever you want them to show on the page.

DevinHey Smaskit6!
For right now we don’t have a fix available unfortunately but hopefully Kriesi will have another small update for this and a few other adjustments.

DevinHi ben3434!
Can we see your site with a color section set with an image+parallax live? That way we can inspect the code and see what might be happening.
Regards,
DevinHey!
You can look in the WooCommerce template folder and find the section you are looking to add content to. The filter/actions are listed in the php as outputs if you want to try and pick out a specific spot to try and hook into.
If the that doesn’t make sense then I would suggest looking into a freelance developer who can do so and then write the function(s) as needed.
Cheers!
DevinHi pako69!
It sounds like WordPress wasn’t able to create the alternate sizes of the image when you uploaded. Your uploads folder permissions could have changed or there could just be another issue that just happened to have popped up at the same time.
First try using this plugin to regenerate your thumbnails: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/
Then try switching to any of the default WordPress themes and do the same or upload a new image and see if WordPress is able to create the thumbnails then (wordpress has 2 thumbnail sizes separate from any theme).
Regards,
DevinHi Richard!
That isn’t a shortcode, its actually a regular blockquote element you can select from the WordPress visual editor. Just like you would right/left align or making text a link.
Regards,
DevinHey!
We don’t have any one single page available for uploading or sharing unfortunately but the elements are all the same as other pages with the new options selected.

DevinFebruary 15, 2014 at 4:35 am in reply to: Homepage in total disarray after update – please HELP! #224254Hey!
No worries. Caching plugins are complex beasts. If the cache of your site gets corrupted or even a small error it can cause a lot of problems. Even when you deactivate W3TC the cache it created will still load so it can seem like you’ve eliminated it as a issue when really its still running.
So if you re-activate the plugin clear its cache and see if that helps.
Cheers!
DevinHey eswyt!
You would need to have a freelance developer or yourselves register a new menu and then add it into the header where you want it to go.
I’m not sure if this is what you are looking for since the theme has no limit on menus it just only registers those that it uses so if you are looking for new ones that is the way to go.
Regards,
DevinHey Mark!
You can show them the filter and function example we’ve done for Relevanssi which should help in adding something else to replace it: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/use-relevanssi-in-search-instead-of-the-default-search/

Hi Paul,
Yes, somewhat. The basic grid in grid.css outlines all of the columns and then the margins for each as they are in the regular output of the theme. The grid.less file actually shows the raw data used to generate the grid using less (http://lesscss.org/)

DevinHi sundialstudios!
You can find a list of all the WooCommerce hooks and filters in their docs here: http://docs.woothemes.com/document/hooks/
Regards,
DevinHey!
For the first issue, we are looking into a fix but I think it will need something from Kriesi.
For the full width, it isn’t an easy slider but instead either a color section with the video background or at the top a Fullscreen slider.
Regards,
DevinYou can modify the same file in the child theme as its in the root folder and will replace whats in the parent.
February 14, 2014 at 8:18 pm in reply to: Add an option to hide featured images atop posts on a per-post basis? #224133Hi chartier!
I believe its already been requested a few times in the feature request topic here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-feature-requests/ as well as something we’ve talked about internally.
Best regards,
DevinHi!
I’m not sure if this is easily doable or not. When you use the Avia Layout Builder the entire page contents and the template used is different. So when you use the portfolio visual editor it ends up using includes>loop-portfolio.php which has a tag output in that structure.
With the ALB, the idea is that it lets you completely do your own layout so there are no automatically generated items for any one specific page type.
I’ve tagged Kriesi on the topic since it may need a new builder element if that is doable in this instance.
Best regards,
DevinHey Vince!
First try switching from pretty permalinks to default and see if it works. It could just be your htaccess is in need of a refresh.
Cheers!
DevinHi fgrippe!
Unfortunately that would need to be directed to the WordPress SEO support forums. We just aren’t capable of supporting third party plugins.
From the sound of it though, the plugins data in the database was corrupted so whenever the plugin tries to activate the incorrect database entries get read.
Cheers!
DevinThere are 2 different masonry elements in the Avia Layout Builder:
– Fullwidth Masonry in the Content Elements tab which can output posts based on any taxonomy
– Fullwidth Masonry Gallery in the Media elements tab which is only for imagesYou *can’t* use the Fullwidth Masonry Gallery for the shop. You must use the Fullwidth Masonry element instead.
February 14, 2014 at 1:02 am in reply to: If blog is in separate directory here's to remove /blog from portfolio item urls #223716Hey ttem!
Thanks for posting that and I hope it helps others as well :)
Just adding it into a child theme wouldn’t actually replace it since the file is included with include which child themes don’t take priority on (or see at all).
For right now it would just need to be changed in the parent.
Best regards,
