    Hi Andy,
    My original problem –
    In the”thank you” email the “from” line was: mydomain < (Email address hidden if logged out) >
    I wanted it changed to just (Email address hidden if logged out)

    The problem now –
    As you can see in the attached link the original issue is still there + now BOTH emails are coming to me, as opposed to one of them coming to me and the other to the user. (same happened with your test, which I am sure you did not get an email response to, right?). this error makes me feel the code was not set properly…

    The link you recommended isn’t relevant to my problem at all… + this is a basic functionality isn’t it? installing a plugin and formatting it all over again sounds a bit too much…

    Please advise ASAP

    thank you

    D

    why do I need to add this code?

    in reply to: Install Google tag manager on child themes #729166

    Guys thank you for trying to help but I have to say both of you giving me different answers for the same issue is very confusing… (and not the first time that happened…)
    why did Vinay asked for a log in?

    thanks

    in reply to: Install Google tag manager on child themes #729157

    Hi Vinay
    I created a temp log in for you see in the private content

    When viewing the source code of my pages I have to say things do not look good…
    +
    When checking with the Tag assistant I get these 2 errors:
    Invalid or missing account ID —> it is valid, I tripled checked – OK THIS IS A GOOGLE ISSUE NM
    Code found outside of <body> tag – this is not A Google issue…

    Hi,
    they are in one line now but are still under the 900 px… can’t they be stretched for the full screen like it was before we limited the website to 900px?

    in reply to: Change the sender line in contact form #729104

    Hi Andy,
    Are you saying Yigit solution isn’t a good one?
    I rather not install extra plugins unless there is a very good reason to do that…

    in reply to: Change the sender line in contact form #728800

    Hi
    so I applied what you suggested

    Before, I got one notification email telling me I got email sent via the website to (Email address hidden if logged out)
    and the thank you email to the email I put under “What’s your email?” field in form.

    Now it sends both the notification I got email sent via the website and the thank you for sending email to (Email address hidden if logged out) .

    Not good.

    in reply to: A few issues #728798

    That is indeed strange… I can’t find any CSS related to that block and to me it looks like it is trying to fit into 900px which is too small for it or something…
    Anyway, I opened another temp account for you (link below)
    And just to make sure we are on the same page – I want the numbers to be stretched to full screen if possible.

    thanks

    in reply to: A few issues #728721

    Hi
    thank you.
    now we just have the running number issue – The running numbers at the bottom of the about page do not fit in one line anymore…

    Sure thing attached

    Hello there,
    Not sure what happened to my reply (posted on the same day you posted yours) but here it is again –
    I updated container to 900px. It did resolve some issues (after removing all the “column elements” etc)
    However, 2 issues are still not fixed –
    1. The text on the 4th block is still breaking (No 4 on my original list) Using the grid might solve it but I don’t see any background color property for the grid + it will not be aligned with the block above it + I am not sure if it’s a wise application of it? – you can see both grid and non-grid on the live V of the site right now
    2. The bullet list on the 5th block is now aligned with the title but now the text is going further than the title on the left side (see link to screenshot in Privat content)

    and a new issue following the change
    1. Both hero sections of the contact (link No 2 in the private content) and the about pages (link No 3 in the private content) are now not behaving as they did – which is the copy stay put while the image re-adjust itself to fit the screen size. Is there any way to fix this or will I have to use a fixed background?
    2. The running numbers at the bottom of the about page (link No. 3) do not fit in one line anymore…

    Thanks for all your help

    D

    No problem.
    you can find the link in the private content.

    Hello Yigit,
    I feel that perhaps it is worth mentioning I am not a big expert on any of this. I knew html a long long time ago and have never worked with your theme. So if you can take that into account and be a little more detailed and specific it will go a long way in helping me. thanks.

    1. To start with – are you recommending not to use column elements to center text (I do it on other blocks as well)?
    secondly – right now you can see it in the live V directly in a color section. It looks ok but in 1024×768 the right side of the copy gets cut.
    should I pot the copy in an element or directly in a “color section” ? .
    or maybe use padding and not margin? (I am not all that clear on which fits here)
    again – the idea here is to center the text and avoid it breaking as much as possible.
    here is the code I have right now

    #homepagehero .container {
    width: 100% !important; max-width: 100%;
    padding:0; margin-left: 25%; margin-right: 25%;
    }
    2. Got it, thanks.
    3. after adding the code the space did get smaller but there is still some space (you can see it in the live website) why is that the other blocks did not behave this way?
    4. Not sure I follow, Could you please be more specific?
    5. Wouldn’t mind giving it a go but how do I add a row to the grid?
    6. –
    7. this was even more complicated to work out then No. 1. you can see it in the live V
    here is the code I have there now:
    #accomplish .container {
    width: 100% !important; max-width: 100%;
    padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0; margin-left: 25%; margin-right: 25%;
    }

    Contact me
    1. perfect!

    About me
    1. I got it sorted another way

    thanks again

    Hi Rikard,
    a bit confused here… you ask to “stick to one issue” but address them all… so not sure what you want me to do here…

    HOMPAGE:
    1. Hero section text braking – yes smaller font size is the obvious solution but it will have to be so small it will look bad. No other ideas?
    2. Hero section right side of the image is invisible – do the “#section-phone” and “#section-desktop” go under the Section ID part of each block?
    3. “conscious, passion-driven” section unclear space – please look at link No. 1
    4. “conscious, passion-driven” section text brake – it is actually in a 2/3 element… I changed it to 4/5 and it still happens in some screen sizes…
    I do not want the text to break like that. Is that possible?
    5. “conscious, passion-driven” section alignment issue – the idea here is to have the “stop” block to the right of the center line of the screen and the next block on the right side of the center line and no matter what element I use, this doesn’t seem to happen… please look at link No. 2 for a detailed sketch of how it is, how I want it etc.
    6. Great, that worked.
    7 ***NEW*** – I forgot to mention the alignment of the bullet list – can you help with that? see link No. 3
    Contact-me page
    1. Change the submitting button color – this code did not work. it stayed the same color + it stopped the hover effect. Any other suggestions

    About page
    1.running numbers on the bottom more centered and closer together – this code is great but I dont think they are centered – view link No. 3

    Thank you.

    Andy,
    I feel like you are not reading the conversation at all… Please review what has been said already.
    when reading you can see that only one question is regarding my application, the other remaining ones has nothing to do with my applications and are actually general questions about the theme – Could you help me with that in the meantime? I dont belive you need to “inspect” any elements to explain what Vinay meant when he said “fontello will be mostly black & white.” Or to clarify how stretching the header image will no harm its quality.

    Please get back to me ASAP

    Thank you
    D

    in reply to: Alignment issue #707903

    Vinay,
    1. I have sent you a link to the mockup (end result) already… I am attaching it again in the ‘private content’ section.
    2. Wouldnt stretching the image change the way it will look?
    4. what do you mean “mostly black & white”?

    Thank you
    D

    in reply to: Alignment issue #706824

    Hi Andy,
    As I told Vinay, my website is not online just yet.

    Here are my issues –
    1. As you can see from the layout I linked to, most copy is in the middle of the page. However, there are 2 blocks of copy I want to align to the left and the right side of the center (you have the front and back end of these blocks as well as the end layout I am after)
    Issue – It seems that the theme aligns the block to the left of the center perfectly whereas the right side is sticking to the right edge of the theme.
    I can solve it by adding padding – but is this the right way to go?

    2. What size should the hero image be to be full width? Vinay said 1366X768 should be fine, however, it is not… (you have a screenshot for this)

    3. I would like the header to be full width on the user’s screen but the rest of the website should be within a box of 980px on the center of the page- is that attainable?

    4. Do the icons have to be b & w? as you can see from the layout my designer recommended original, color icons.

    3. I would love it if the content could be in a box of let’s say 980 width, whereas the page itself will be 100% is that doable?

    Could you tell me what info are you missing? ill be happy to send you any screenshot and info you need.

    D

    in reply to: Alignment issue #705690

    Hi Vinay,
    thank you for getting back to me so fast!
    1. I am attaching a link to a mockup of my website. Look at the part with the titles – “STOP” and “TIME TO EVOLVE”. This is the effect I am after.
    BTW – I see that when I view it in mobile (using the “customize” view) it only shows the center of the image… can it show the whole image or maybe there is an option for alternate image for mobile?)
    2. I am also attaching a screenshot of a tryout with an image of exactly 1366X768. As you can see it doesn’t cover the whole section in width… why is that? You can look at the mockup to see the effect I want to achieve here
    3. I would love it if the content could be in a box of let’s say 980 width, whereas the page itself will be 100% is that doable?
    4. as you can see in the mockup my designer thought of using our own icon symbols for the list and they have colors in them – Is that possible or is it just b&w?

    Thanks again!!!
    D

    in reply to: testimonial align-center #680271

    This did nothing as well.
    But you were not all that clear about how to add it – should I delete anything? should I just add it on top of everything already there?
    And another thing, could you please clarify how making the site “live” helps you? you have my very detailed explanation, the screenshots, the page source, what else is missing?. I apologise if this might feel like a redundant question for you, It isn’t for me. I worked on other themes with other vendors, always on local host first) and no support ever needed my theme to be live…

    Looking forward to your explanation

    in reply to: testimonial align-center #677876

    Did not change anything….
    The “box” or whatever it is that stores the testimonial IS centred but both the photo and text seem to be aligned to the left within that, leaving a lot of “dead” space on the right.

    what did seem to change the placement of the text is this:
    #top .avia-testimonial-content {
    font-size: 20px !important;
    line-height: 30px;
    text-align: center!important;
    }

    BUT – this made the text centred in its own box, which looks strange AND the photo is still stuck on the right…
    Here is a screenshot
    In the Private Content you can see the page source

    Thanks
    D
