Thank you Boris for the support.

This thread isn’t the only one I have posted about getting this fixed.

They give the same answers every time and as you said it says a lot about their company.

Someone should honestly make sure this issue is posted under the reviews of this theme, so people don’t invest time and money into a theme that has seo limitations. Especially because most won’t find out until they build out those masonry galleries and let them stand for months.

As a small business owner the decision to use the enfold theme was a mistake that I regret because it will force us to fundamentally redo our website twice in a short period of time instead of just once.

I have talked to them as well and have posted other threads on this subject on here.

If Kreisi isn’t aware of the long term outcry around this then he clearly isn’t paying attention.

I have been using enfold for years and 100% agree with Ed.

It actually makes me regret using this theme and will likely find an alternative when i revamp the website.

I love everything else about it, but then I remember my images arn’t being indexed which is affecting my seo rankings which is affecting my businesses’ revenue…

Ed is 100% correct. I have had the theme for over a year without any of my gallery images indexing.

I tried your tips and you can keep going around the bush, but it is a huge flaw in the theme.

Maybe it is how Enfold hooks to Yoast or this or that, but enfold is marketed as a drag and drop theme.

Simple to us and user friendly.

For the most part Enfold is, but in regards to this gallery problem maybe your team should focus on finding a solution that makes it so gallery images are easily indexed.

Ed, I have done their tips, but after over a year of trying to find a solution to this they have not come close.

As a business, this seriously affects our seo ranking by losing out on hundreds of content worthy images being easily noticed by google. I’m sure the affect is just as great on yours.

Best of luck, but from my experience if this is a serious problem I would recommend looking for a different theme. That’s something I have begun to do. Enfold is easy to use, but it seems to be easier to recreate our website in a naturally more seo friendly way using a different platform then solve this image seo problem with enfold….

This is what Yoast told me previously, but they still are not indexed on google:
    Hi Dean,

    Thanks for your email.

Our plugin only analyzes the default WordPress content areas (title, url, main content box, etc.) If you are adding your images through other plugin/theme content boxes, Yoast SEO Premium won’t be able to detect them. However, this doesn’t mean that Google won’t be able to index them. Our content analysis is just to validate the content of your website and doesn’t really affect how search engines index your site. So if you have images there that aren’t recognized by our plugin, you should be fine.

In the past, we have tried to parse shortcodes and other content boxes with horrible results so we opted to provide plugin and theme developers with an API that can be used to pass their content to our page analysis.

If you are using a plugin or theme that doesn’t send their content to our page analysis, please reach out the developer and ask them about adding the functionality to their visual builder. This KB article will help them with the implementation: Can I add data to the page analysis?

Yes we’re set up on google webmasters.and no not for that particular url. I will try that.

    Any other thoughts?

Thank you! Really appreciate it. I know you’re busy.

Really focused on the masonry gallery on the image gallery page.

I know a lot of people will probably appreciate what you find based on the research i’ve done.

    Best of luck,

When can I expect a reply or update?

I do appreciate all of your help i’ve received, but I do get nervous with sensitive info especially when it’s my clients.

Just spoke to our hosting account and they said nothing was being blocked on their end.

So does anyone from the Enfold team have an actual solution?

Or do you guys not even know? I’ve asked multiple times and have gotten everything but a real answer. Always blaming someone else whether it’s yoast or now Godaddy.

    Good morning,

Thank you for getting back to me. I have been trying to solve this problem for almost a year with no luck.

I love the enfold theme, but something like this that is inhibiting our seo is definitely something we’ll consider when we revamp our site or recommend others themes.

I don’t think it’s my hosting, but i’ll check. I use godaddy and don’t understand why they would block something like this.

    Thanks,
    Dean

    Hi Dean,

Then this is what you told me previously:
I think what you are referring to is background images and I don’t think the Yoast plugin will include those, but I wouldn’t worry too much about it since search engines will see the image even if Yoast doesn’t.

    ———————————————————-

2 things: 1) Why do you keep referring to masonry gallery images as background images? 2) you both told me not to worry, but they still are not indexed on google?

I have been trying to solve this problem for a long time and need a solution because it’s a business’ website.

Okay. The main reason for my concern is that google webmaster says I have only a small number of images submitted Much smaller than what I have on the site.

Based on what you’re saying I shouldn’t worry because that’s based on my sitemap and Google will find those images when they do their own crawl?
