February 20, 2015 at 12:09 pm in reply to: Changed Logo on some pages, now experiencing Mobile menu issues #399559
The menu loads on the right for me too, even though I haven’t did the different logo thing. I was just testing my site on an iPhone 5S and noticed I can slide my entire site to the left and it would show my hidden menu sitting on the right, though smaller than when you open it. Maybe a bug since a recent version? It wasn’t like this before I updated the site.
I just tried it on an iPhone 5S and the same issues occur. The captions don’t always appear and sometimes the controls stop working after it switches to the next slide.
Hello Elliott,
2 separate OS X Yosemite Macbook Pros with Safari 8. I’ve also tried with Chrome 40. Try changing languages until it happens.
It happens at least half the time we open the homepage now. It’s that bad!
Hi Josue,
This is perfect! Thank you so much for this fix!!
Thanks, so this is the answer:
“People requested this 3 months ago, we told them we would correct this, but we didn’t yet and there’s no info available on when we’ll do this.”
Is that correct? :)
December 18, 2014 at 11:37 am in reply to: Open Sans Light and Extrabold not working in some IE versions #369898Apparently it is indeed due to the Compatibility View. Strangely enough, I’ve previously added a rule that forces it OFF when visiting our website and that rule was later even adopted by Enfold in the next version.
So I don’t understand why this causes issues again. Guess I’ll look for an alternative way of force-disabling that. I hope I never have to meet the person that invented Compatibility View. 90% of the issues caused in IE for our website are due to that View.
Anyway, thanks a lot for your time and advice. If you’d happen to know of a way to force-disable that, please let me know!

December 15, 2014 at 9:53 am in reply to: Open Sans Light and Extrabold not working in some IE versions #368209Hi Eliott,
The error isn’t there because I removed the script until you might have found a way to fix it. I can’t leave the site with an Error 500 until then.
I haven’t done any other fix, so it’s probably the same thing as what’s confusing me, that some IE browsers show it fine and some don’t, even though the browser versions are identical.
I’ll ask a colleague to take a snapshot of it to show you the difference. There are multiple colleagues that have this issue, so that’s why I’m worried there are many more among outside visitors.

Thank you for your feedback. Yet I tried both copying your example and typing it in manually. I use Dreamweaver to modify the functions.php file and there were no errors. But as soon as I refresh the website, there’s an Error 500. Removed the piece of code again and the site loads.
Have you tried that code? Or you able to run it without front end errors?
In functions.php, the only line after that code is: // END CUSTOM
I add that to make it easier for myself to see what I have added on top of the theme’s standard code.Hi Andy,
Yes, we’ve replaced the video with an image until we find a solution for it. I’m looking at the Enfold demo page with an empty cache again and apart from 1-2 seconds of load time it immediately plays fluently, even though it is obviously longer than our 10 second video that stutters the entire playthrough. This is the Enfold demo page I’m talking about:
http://kriesi.at/themedemo/?theme=enfoldAre there perhaps some video export settings that we should know about in order to optimise the performance on a web page? I still have the video running on this test site: http://goo.gl/ru0vsX
I really hope there’s something we can do about this. Thanks in advance for the assistance.
That would only increase the file size even further, instead of decreasing it. I understand it works fine after it’s cached, but that’s not how it should go. We cannot rely on people’s patience and decision to come back to our site just to finally see the homepage working correctly.
Why do all other Enfold site videos immediately start playing fluently upon page load, but ours needs so much buffering?
Also, why does a Safari stutter in between loops while other browsers (at least not IE etc.) don’t?
I really hope to find a solution!
Nice site Raymmar! I like it, though I personally think it’s a lot of text on one page.

They’ve fixed it already, I hadn’t noticed the post before I replied here. But for anyone else that didn’t notice it, here is the link (basically, Themeforest already has the update so you can download it):
Thank you for the quick fix!
Same here. Got a very important day for the website, yet of all days, today is the day it stops working!
I’m taking it down on the homepage as well, but there are many pages using the fullscreen slider (in 9 languages), it’s impossible to replace them all right now. Very dissappointing WP update. This is the downside of WP hosting that automatically updates WP.
I’m eagerly awaiting an quick Enfold update fix, please help us!
Perfect solution, Kriesi! Thank you so much for taking the time to help me out, it really means a lot towards efficiency!!
Sigh, I’m SO glad this got solved now. :)
Any feedback?
This reply has been marked as private. And how do I turn OFF these backend translations, please??
My website has plenty more languages than I can speak/read, so it’s important that I can edit all languages and still know wth I’m doing.
For example, when I want to insert and edit a Portfolio Grid (all elements are translated as well, so luckily there are still icons in them):
All of the settings of the pop-up editor are also translated. I cannot understand it anymore. Like Italian, I don’t speak that language, but when I’m editing my Italian website I get settings like:Quali Voci?
Selezionare le voci da visualizzare selezionando una tassonomiaEuhm, right, that’s where I need to edit … what exactly?
I seriously need to find a way to deactivate backend translations. I’m sure it’s caused by Enfold because everything WP native is still in English while most of Enfold is translated.
Tried the suggested plugin, but still see it translated.
The problem is, it basically happens to all Enfold-related fields, such as the advanced layout builder. So no point switching themes. I tried looking in my WPML settings to see if it could be set there, but couldn’t find anything that may have an impact on this.
Oooh, the moment of anticipation … exciting! :-D
Looking forward to it. I just hope there is FINALLY some (decent) kind of loading indication for fullscreen sliders.
Ok, I really appreciate your feedback and will look into it! I hadn’t heard about Media Temple before.
Thank you for your reply, Devin.
I usually get around 40-50k pageviews/month; storage is currently between 0.5 – 1 GB; preferably 5-10 sites (so I can do different tests and create temporary company event sites).
Currently using the 2nd plan of Pressable for $45/mo, so seeing the Bluehost 2nd plan for $75/mo is a big difference and I cannot figure out if there is much added value worth the extra $30.
kind regards
I seriously need to install another plugin just to prevent Enfold translating the admin for me even though it was always fine before???
Why doesn’t Enfold just stop translating my admin by default? I’m sorry to sound harsh, but I’m offended by the fact that something like this is being forced upon my admin. I should have to install a plugin to enable it rather than disable. Very absurd.
It’s like Apple or Google suddenly change all of your phone contact and app settings even though you didn’t ask for any of it and support tells you “try installing this or that app”.
Thank you very much, Ismael! That seems to have fixed it for me as well.
I too seem to have this problem. This is what Firebug says:
You have included the Google Maps API multiple times on this page. This may cause unexpected errors. jo()main.js (regel 56) a = true main.js()main.js (regel 57) a = [0.009999999776482582, [[["http://mt0.googleapis.co...74000000&src=api&hl=nl&", "http://mt1.googleapis.co...74000000&src=api&hl=nl&"], null, null, 4 meer...], [["http://khm0.googleapis.com/kh?v=158&hl=nl&", "http://khm1.googleapis.com/kh?v=158&hl=nl&"], null, null, 4 meer...], [["http://mt0.googleapis.co...74000000&src=api&hl=nl&", "http://mt1.googleapis.co...74000000&src=api&hl=nl&"], null, null, 4 meer...], 12 meer...], ["nl", "US", null, 9 meer...], 25 meer...] b = 1410968108683 google.maps.Load()js?sens...e&ver=3 (regel 19) apiLoad = function(a, b) main.js()main.js (regel 57) main.js()main.js (regel 59) error source line: ...%26%74%6F%6B%65%6E%3D");return function(d){d=d[wb](eo,"%27");var e=d+c;fo||(fo=/...
Some of my plugins stop functioning correctly because of this. Unfortunately, your suggestion to add to functions.php did not work for me.

I’m not sure why, but for some reason I could fix it by going to:
Display the language switcher in the WP Menu and change the selected menu to –select–. That’s right, no menu selected. It then appeared correctly again in my top menu, BUT also in my main menu. To temporarily fix this I have just added this to my CSS:
#header_main .menu-item-language {display:none;}Maybe you can try that? Hopefully that’ll help you too while waiting for a better fix.
I have the same problem since I updated to latest version of Enfold. I used to have a language dropdown. This is now gone. None of the settings I change seem to do anything.
Perhaps I should go back to a previous version of Enfold as well, but I remember the layout builder did not work anymore, so I was forced to update.
I’ve already opened a ticket at WPML support, but I honestly think it may have something to do with Enfold, especially since I’m not the only one here. This is my site: http://goo.gl/tcf1o5
EDIT: Oh and Yigit, my settings are as follows:
– Language Switcher in the WP menu is set to Display the language switcher in the WP Menu [Top menu]
– Language Switcher options is set to Drop-down menu [Mobile friendly for mobile agents only]
– What to include in the language switcher is set to Native language nameI’ve also disabled all other plugins than WPML and it still didn’t work. I’ve change settings like “Mobile friendly …” to “Classic” and so on, nothing changes. I’ve changed no PHP or CSS since theme update, whatsoever.

Am I imagining this, or am I seeing this ocreurope.com site mentioned here for at least the third time already?
