November 16, 2024 at 5:46 am in reply to: Menu Structure – Menu Style – Button Style – Confusion #1471448
Rikard, I’m trying to change the background color of the two button styles that are available (currently in my example there is “orange” and “blue”.
Thanks Rikard.
I found the setting but what element in the drop down under Advanced Styling represents the bullet point/numbered list color?

As I said in my last post — all things are working now thanks to threads I followed and fixes I implemented to bugs in your code.
Then I found the error using a prior referred-to post that talked about turning off the performance enhancing parts of Enfold fixed problems, and I turned all those off and it fixed the header and overlay text. There is no need for further action from the support team.
Thank you.
April 24, 2019 at 6:43 pm in reply to: Enfold – Last Two Updates F'd Up My Website – Tired of Bad Updates! #1094104Let me correct a few things here to keep the facts clear.
After a support person logged into my site the errors were NOT completely corrected. The header and overlay text were not present on any platform or browser.
It was after this finding, the lazy load issue was fixed but the header was not, that I sent an follow up message saying my issues are not fixed.
Then I found the error using a prior referred-to post that talked about turning off the performance enhancing parts of Enfold fixed problems, and I turned all those off and it fixed the header and overlay text.
To be clear about your assertion. There were no cache errors or issue as you guessed wrongly. So let’s be clear, the issue wasn’t fixed the first time around, I know how cache works, and I ended up fixing your company’s software errors thanks to a similar post about your software errors from another user and another support person.
The leaving out the fix file mod issue is just not excusable. Period. It’s the software equivalent to saying ‘sorry we left that surgery sponge in you, whoops, our bad, yours to fix.”
April 23, 2019 at 5:55 am in reply to: Enfold – Last Two Updates F'd Up My Website – Tired of Bad Updates! #1093512Your reply didn’t answer my question or fix the issue. However, reading through the threads you referenced I found notes about turning off the performance features from the Enfold code. Once these were disabled my site returned to normal.
I am very concerned about Kriesi’s future, noted development mistakes, and slow support responses (apparently due to the large number of issues).I realize that the support people who reply to these posts are not likely to be owners or developers of this very popular product, but it is clear to me that something negative is happening at this company and the code quality and support backlog have progressively become worse over the last twelve months.
It is in everyone’s best interest to have a Plan B to using the software from this company — I know that I will be working on a prebuilt switch-over if needed.
What sucks is that this is a good front-end, and support that was better, but most importantly it used to be well written code that didn’t contain foolish bugs and overlooked fixes “unintentionally” left out of new releases.
Sad.

Using the absolute URL, as you showed in your response, — did not fix the issue.
Deactivating the merging/compressing of the CSS and JS — did not fix the issue.
How do I return to a WORKING version of Enfold. The website looks stupid without its header and my website is a low-traffic site — I can imagine how pissed off people are with high traffic sites using Enfold.
March 24, 2019 at 7:45 pm in reply to: 4.5.5 Fails To Show ANY Custom Background Image at the top of my home page #1082345How can I revert to the last working version of Enfold.
I can’t keep messing around with this to fix my website.
Where can I get the older version?
November 4, 2018 at 3:29 pm in reply to: updating Enfold: Download failed. A valid URL was not provided #1029618Not liking the tone of your support answers Rikard. Reading your response to me, and to others, there is a blame-the-user perspective and a passive aggression in the way you write that needs to be checked.
Maybe because it’s very obvious to us but not to someone who has never done it before
..If you manage websites then you will at least have to have some knowledge of how to update them except for automatic update, or at least try to learn.
What is not clear about our policy? Have you requested support and not received any?We are your customers, so keep that in mind. We are not all coders or developers, that’s why we purchase products from your company in the first place — because we can’t develop on our own, or don’t have the time or desire.
So let me ask the question again. I cannot update my Enfold site to 4.5. The plug-in you recommended does not work fully. The generation of the new token does not work.
The answer is for Enfold to work around the Envato issue, just like all those app developers you referenced in the Apple store — they don’t tell people “it’s Apple’s fault man, not ours, so…” They add FUNCTIONALITY to their product to work around it.
And please explain why the URL failure occurs during the automated upgrade of a purchased and registered copy of your company’s Enfold theme, when Envato, as you state, is the reason?
To answer you question, no I have not received support because your answer is to blame someone else and use Apple as your example. Your company isn’t Apple, this isn’t a closed ecosystem like theirs and this is not a complex hardware platform application like Apple’s.
November 4, 2018 at 6:45 am in reply to: updating Enfold: Download failed. A valid URL was not provided #1029583…and one more item. Generating the new token does not work. Following the exact directions posted in your links results in a forever loop of waiting while the private token is validated. After several attempts I stopped trying.

November 4, 2018 at 6:05 am in reply to: updating Enfold: Download failed. A valid URL was not provided #1029564Could you please explain more clearly how you are not actually the company who wrote Enfold. Because that’s certainly NOT clear from your website. You’re a reseller of Enfold? Who is the developer? How do we contact them directly?
Purchasing from your company means the support is provided by your company. In NO location on your Kriesi website can I locate information that says anything like… although we sell these, and we offer a support forum (one I’ve used many times to get answers) we (suddenly) can’t answer for the developer because, you know, we’re like Apple and aren’t responsible for the stuff we sell.
Apple makes their policy clear. You do not.
Please explain to me, and to all of us having problems with this theme we purchased from YOU and came back to YOU for support.
The site is hosted by 1 & 1 and the version of PHP is 7.0.
I spoke with them about this and the site was previously running 5.6.Done. See PM

March 31, 2015 at 3:55 pm in reply to: Messages from Contact Us Widget Are Bounced by Yahoo and Google #421244Still no answer to my support request. What is the proper period to wait for a response for support here?
Yesterday an update to Enfold was released and in the release notes there is a single line about email issues. Will this fix my issue?
March 30, 2015 at 5:36 am in reply to: Messages from Contact Us Widget Are Bounced by Yahoo and Google #420186…and please keep in mind that email was working fine until recently. No changes were made to our website, other than to update to the latest Enfold theme. However, this issue did not occur just after upgrading the theme’s code.
Please advise.
March 27, 2015 at 2:53 pm in reply to: Messages from Contact Us Widget Are Bounced by Yahoo and Google #419292Elliott it’s clear to me there is more to this issue than you might believe. It appears that the Enfold script is clashing with new rules set up by Yahoo and supported and enforced by Google. None of the items in the link you sent change the behavior of your script and there are no options in your Contact Us widget other than placement, fields and the “send from” name.
It’s an issue with your script.
Elliott, our technical wizard in the US just filled me in on the what and why of this issue. I understand now that that the whole picture loads and then is translated into a thumbnail, so any large-ish sized image file will cause this issue. He filled me in, in detail, on how the code functions — and this is helpful to understand the issue.
In the end it comes down to what you said initially, it’s the file sizes that are causing the problem — but now I understand why it’s happening. I’ll shave the file sizes down and I think this will make the issue just about go away.
We can close this issue and thank you for your time Elliott.
Thanks Elliott. I’ve asked my IT friend in the US to also test and he saw the lag mostly in the first image on the home page. I checked the image sizes and they average 400k — the garden image is not 1mb so I don’t know how you calculated that, unless you are talking about the top header image (being the garden) which is about 760k — but has always loaded quickly.
I’m guessing that the Enfold code is loading the page’s thumbnail, plus the code to do the “on hover” text, plus the code to do the lightbox display of the full size image, plus the full size image — all together on the page load, when I think the better approach is to load the full size image at the time the thumbnail is clicked. Or, could Enfold pre-render (to cache) the thumbnail of the full-size image on the server — because the delay here could be the Enfold engine rendering the full size image as a thumbnail on-demand, and not when clicked on, and this is the cause of the slowdown. Not sure? Your thoughts?
February 3, 2015 at 6:37 am in reply to: Map and Images Missing only Within Chrome – Okay in Firefox and IE #389853Confirmed. The issue is resolved and must have been a temporary issue with Chrome. No idea what it was. But it is resolved now and the issue is closed.
Thank you Elliott.
Where could I send that or upload it to? I don’t see that option here in the forum (to upload a file).
Thank you for the code for transparency.
On the second issue…
For now we have decided to use the header as it is today so the second support question I raised is no longer an issue. If we decide to go that design route again I will open a new support case.Hello Yigit. It appears that this issue is resolved now. This means that the issue was related to the WP Super Cache plug-in. It must have been storing old values and causing problems. I reset the plug-in and changed its configuration and the header size has been showing the correct size on all platforms consistently.
Thank you for the response.
Cheers.
Okay, there is an image as a background image. Does that mean it won’t work correctly and that it must be an image as in when you place an image into the page’s content using the Avia editor?
What explains the odd behavior of the header showing over the page’s text once transparency is turned on?
Next, if you look at the page as it now, is there a way to get the menu items to have a transparency to them so the image underneath shows through?
Finally, the Enfold configuration seems to be ignoring my color setting for the sides of the site, currently black. This is actually set to an shade of green in the Enfold Styling configuration setting, but something is overwriting the setting and forcing it to black. How can that be changed to the green shade I chose in the Styling section?
Another thought. Perhaps you can summarize the items to change in the Enfold config inside WordPress that will make my site look like the demo I referenced in my first message? I could take a look at what needs to be changed and then prepare the site for the visual change before I move it over, or turn the demo look on live for a short time to test it.
