Note: I am able to access the backend perfectly as well. Are there any known plug-in conflicts with Woo 3.2.x ?
Thanks.
Thanks Ismael.
Yes, on Mac. Have it showing fine now, after migrating to new optimized server.
Interestingly, on upgrading to Enfold 3, it did not show on the inverse – Firefox and Chrome. It was not loading jQuery before the slider.
Deactivating CloudFlare’s RocketLoader took care of that. Hopefully just a temporary solution, as love the speed boost.
Will see if can have someone assist in setting up RocketLoader’s asynchronous loading of js manually so can just take care of this instance, while preserving it for all else. Or perhaps the next LS update will handle this, as it seems in their recent update log to be trying to address this compatibility.
Thx for feedback… Michael
Yes. Tremendous difference with server in this case. Another site on Flashlight that has been having timeout and response issues for a month since WP4 update, etc. – sometimes a 2 sec response, or 30+ secs, or none, now on the new server clocks in at 434ms. It turns out Media Temple had degraded. Highly recommend Synthesis for anyone looking for a great platform for their WP sites.
I think a major difference with the memory was the php version, so getting a server with 5.5 was key. I feel their were issues with LS with previous versions, and additional queries were creating the monster memory foot. So LayerSlider with latest php, and of course a fast and steady server as the resolution. SpeedBooster plug-in, when not with precise settings – and now redundant on new host – was creating issues with LS.
Just info for others who it might assist.
Enfold 3.0 comes with LS 5.1.2? Enfold 2.9.2 is with LS 5.2, and the latest version of LS is 5.3.1. Is this correct? Or is that the most stable version of LS in final evaluation. Would appreciate clarification there, and then this thread can be closed and resolved.
Thank you for the support.
Thanks Devin.
Yes, in this case, it did activate and there was a number indicating an update in the WordPress admin soon after, however when one clicks on updates for plug-ins, it shows none listed there. I presumed that this was the plug-in is in the Enfold folder and not the normal plugins folder in wp-content. Yes, a LayerSlider team issue. Just wanted to pass on notes here and document what worked or didn’t for anyone else who was trying the same. (One always hopes one’s blunders saves times for others who need not repeat them ;) !)
None of my attempts to get it to work on my live server were succesful, as noted above. It did work on my local environment on Mamp Pro. Wonder if the issues caused by this are the result of outdated or just older php versions? My local uses 5.5.14. My previous host Media Temple which I was using on a Grid shared server used 5.3.27. I am migrating these sites to a new optimized site using php 5.5 as well, and will see if these LayerSlider issues will disappear.
Wonder if anyone has seen a minimum php version it requires?
Appreciate the response. Great to be able to pre-update the new LS releases – for those of us that have bought it – in advance of new integrated theme updates. Any one who has updated smoothly, would love to hear.
All best…
Thank you Ismael for the response.
We are using Safari 7.1 here.
After migrating our site to a new optimized server yesterday night, it displayed in Safari this morning via our proxy server. I am not sure why the new server would affect it’s display as I presumed it was an internal element between a browser and LayerSlider. We just switched our dns a few hours ago and I wonder if you got the ‘fresh’ version.
Can you take a look at http://www.redjasperjewelry.com? On your version of Safari. It is still on the old host and does not display here.
Much appreciated!
MichaelThank you for your clarifications, Devin. Your answers are always so clear. It is very much appreciated.
I hope my previous comments of trying to resolve this issue – and other recent with LayerSlider – were not too infused with the frustrations of troubleshooting for days. I had been working and profiling my whole sites element by element – themes then individual plugins – to reduce the memory footprint before migrating to a new high speed, optimized host. The memory was coming out so high, astronomically at moments, and surprisingly so for these themes. It is of course obvious that the resource rich theme would have some increase in memory, but this was way beyond.
Anyways, your message came right when all cleared. Finished the migration of my site from Media Temple to Synthesis last night, and with an upgrade of my servers to php 5.5 during the night, the memory footprint is now 13,526,448 bytes! (13.5Mbs) for the same site.
New host and latest php did it.
Surprisingly, my home layer slider which has not been appearing in Safari on all my Enfold sites this past week (or longer), now appears upon this successful migration and upgrade. I do not know how the server would make a difference in what seems a browser or LS, or latest LS integration bug, but it did in this instance.
I take it the integration of the latest version of LS into Enfold is awaiting the Enfold 3 update. Release date?
Thanks again. All best…
MichaelIt didn’t work on live site. It installed as above. But homepage LS disappeared, same as in Safari issue but now in Firefox, just top and bottom menu with white space in between.
Uninstalled standalone LS. Integrated reappeared in menu.
Slider is back in Firefox; still missing in Safari.
Update: On removing code from functions.php, the site displayed again.
Without having yet removed the standalone LS I had installed, it was still there at latest version and LS was back in Advanced Editor.
It seems the way to update is just to install the most recent version of LS via Plug-Ins Installer from your Code Canyon download. That does it. No updating through the already integrated LS settings page worked in my case.
Hope that helps any who are trying this as well.

I tried Yigit’s code for deactivating the integrated LayerSlider in functions.php.
This indeed deactivated and removed LayerSlider – both from Admin Menu leftside, as well as LS buttons in the Advanced Editor.
I could then install LayerSlider as a stand alone. My previous settings displayed. I had exported my previous sliders just in case.Back end works fine, latest version of WP LayerSlider 5.3.1.
Front end: complete white screen.
Nothing at all of the site.
Didn’t work. Was hoping that installing standalone with latest version of LS would help solve a missing sliders in Safari on my live sites (they show in Firefox and Chrome just fine).
Please see this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/home-layer-slider-not-displaying-in-safari/
Any help appreciated. Will set it back as it was with integrated LS. Anything to do other than wait for the next Enfold update with latest LS?
Any assistance truly appreciated. Would like all live sites to display on all browsers.
Thank you.Look forward to a response.
The temporary fix shared by a user in this thread helped only for some reason on my local (Mamp) sites:
https://kriesi.at/support/topic/menu-structure-not-working/#post-324223
After selecting “Use Google CDN version of jQuery” in the Layerslider, two local sites then displayed LayerSlider. Another did not.
And none of them resolved for the live sites. I cleared browser cache and global CloudFlare caches after updating, so what is delivered and what is displayed by the browser should indeed be the updated setting.
This is only happening in Safari.
Firefox and Chrome are perfectly fine. Also tried deactivating CloudFlare’s Rocket Loader for these sites, and it made no change. Not the cause.
Also as this user mentions – thread now closed – the Menu in WP does not work once using this fix. Must deactivate it again to move menu items in WP Admin, so one can display LS or edit menu only alternately.
Still, did not effect live sites at all, for myself or clients. Home slider pages are blank in Safari.
Just posted question in another recent thread on updating LS. Look forward to response there and new version of Enfold addressing these LS issues and others.
Thank you for your time!

I tried both this method and a previously recommended in the forums here of copying the latest version over that in layerslider-config folder of Enfold. Neither worked. First shows a number for an update in WP, but nothing on the update page. Seems as it is not a stand alone plug-in but bundled, and the second messed up the admin page layout for LayerSlider.
It seems one can deactivate LayerSlider in the theme prior to installing the standalone. As per this thread…
https://kriesi.at/support/topic/layer-slider-not-working-3/
deactivating via functions.php.
Question is is how this affects the Advanced Editor integration? All my Layerslider are integrated via the Advanced Editor – the drop-down to select.
When reinstalling as a standalone, would all these sliders need to be manually reinserted and laid out?
Is there any danger of losing one’s previous sliders and their configurations in the Enfold integrated LS?
Would one need to export and re-import, all manual?Thank you for your response.
Very clearly explained, Devin. Thank you for adding the context.
Was searching for answers to just this…
Even without the other poster’s messages, could get all the orientation and details needed to get my LayerSlider responsive.
Finally got it. Thx.
