  • That looks good. But I have still one problem. The solution is what I was looking for, but the problem is, that when there are not 3 categories, the first product is in the same column as the categories. I would like to have it, that when there are only 1 or 2 categories, the column is sort of over, and the first product is under it in a new column. I could do that with css, but the problem then is, that it counts wrong. (if there are 2 Categories and some products, the first product has the class “last” because it is the last element of a column). But the first product should be a “first”. The woocommerce shop in enfold first shows the categories, and the products are sort of in the same ul. It works fine if there are 3 columns (because then it counts correctly, because the first product is also the first element in a column and the last category is also the last category in the column), as seen in your screenshot. But how can I make this sort of dymanic? (I think this is something that could be a problem for more people).

Or do you maybe have a CSS-hint how to solve that (i haven’t found any).

    Thanks in advance.

Hello, It is actually just an information. I need to know, where in the Enfold Theme, the piece of code is, where the categories and products are grabbed. When I set in the settings, that I want to see sub categories AND products, it creates a list, first the categories, then the products (as you see in the provided link above). But I want to know where that happens in the code, because I want to seperate the categories and the products. It creates one UL and the first LI is a category, the second is a product ==> so it is not seperated, and I think it is just some code changing, opening and closing the UL after the categories. But I do not know, in which php file, the categories / products are grabbed. That is actually all I need to know.

    Thanks in advance.

in reply to: Expotrade Theme Settings only for one language #529777

Hey Andy, no I want to make changes for all languages, but only have it for all. So the backend-menu where the theme settings are (header settings, footer and stuff) were in previous installations always marked with the language active. So if I had english activated in the backend (chosen in the top bar), there was the menu-point “enfold EN” and when I switched to german there was “enfold DE”. And I could make changes for both pages. But in my current project there is only one theme-setting set for all languages, which makes it impossible for me to change for example the footer links and translate them or to set the static pages (Start and Blog) because only the last saved language keeps the pages (when I save the settings in german, the pages only work in german, and in EN there are not chosen).

Hey Andy, I checked that and the WPML support looked over it. They tried to test it and it works fine, with the standard wordpress themes. There I can make changes, save them in the Text mode (the Layout Builder does not work for the standard WP themes). And there it is such as it should be. The posts work like a charm, but the pages don’t.
So it seems pretty clear to me, that it must be the enfold theme. because as soon as I switch back to the enfold theme, the problem is there. (even with WPML only activated and the fresh download of the theme from the page).

hey guys, the functions PHP is untouched. I documented my changes in the PHP files in a seperate file, and the theme is 100% original, the version you told me to update in the second post. Yes you can deactivate all plugins and change theme. When you change theme you won’t see too much, because it is hardly usable in the frontend (due to menu and stuff) but, you surely can. When I change to standard theme (not child theme) the problem still persists. When deactivating all plugins except for the wpml then it does as well. When I deactivate WPML it does not appear (because the problem is in the english translation and without WPML there is only the german language). So I checked everything I can, I guess :)

Hey. As I said in my very first post, when I change to twenty fourteen standard, I see my changes in the Editor AND on the actual page.
As soon as I change back to the Enfold Theme again, I cannot see the changes in the backend editor AND not on the actual page, but in the preview page I do see it. When I change back to the twenty fourteen theme, I see the changes everywhere again.

no ideas? we are pretty desperate, because we cannot finish our translation.

    Additional Information:

I figured something out, that might help you:
When I save the page, I cannot see the changes in the backend of the page. BUT when I go to the preview page, then I see the changes.
But when I go to the real page, I see the same as in the backend. No changes.

    So:

When Changes in english language are saved they are:
    VISIBLE in Preview mode
NOT VISIBLE in the backend Editor
NOT VISIBLE on the actual page

    does that help somehow?

Hey, I did. newest Version and did not set the modifications (have a log php in my Child-theme where I list the changes in the original theme), the theme is now 100% original, the child theme just uses custom css, nothing else. But it still does not save changes in the english language.

Tested that, if my changes in the PHP made this, but they don’t.

    Thanks,

    Hey Basilis,

thanks for your reply. The Link and informations below:

in reply to: WPML Configured ==> page not found #488598

hi, no i just created the pages. So when I deactivate the plugin, all the pages are listed. But as soon as WPML is configured, the pages are listed in the counter on top, but all the languages are 0. So when WPML is not acitvated, the pages are listed and can be edited, but then I cannot set a language. But as soon as WPML is activated, there is no possibility to open or edit the pages, and set the language. So i am completely stuck here. if you deactivate WPML the links and menu items open, AND you see the pages in the “pages” list in the backend.

    Theme is 3.2.3.
    thanks in advance :)
