I have asked my hosting provider to hold on the PHP update, as I think better to get the theme and HTTPS working first, as long as PHP 5.6 should be supported by the new version of the theme.
Can you advise on the best approach to create a staging site that is a mirror of the current one? I had my hosting provider create an empty site on https://test.redhill-archers.org.uk, but I’m not sure about how to copy things across in a way that will retain the current theme configurations etc?
Thanks
Colin
January 13, 2016 at 4:12 pm in reply to: Conflict between WP-Members and Enfold – Blog post object #564774Hi Ismael
I think you just inadvertently narrowed down the issue – you are right, if you set grid layout it works, but if you change it to single author, it breaks. With that in mind, I can work around it, but any ideas on the cause?
Thanks
January 13, 2016 at 10:39 am in reply to: Custom opaque background for Special Heading element #564489Hi Vinay
This kind of works, but then its causing some of the longer headings to wrap, which is not what I want.
I wonder if you can advise how to do this using a custom css class, as thinking perhaps its best if I do it individually. I set a custom class in a special heading element, called “CustomHeading”. Can you advise on the css I need to just set the background to the text to opaque grey please? I tried modifying the above but not sure I am doing it right.Thanks
January 12, 2016 at 12:41 pm in reply to: Conflict between WP-Members and Enfold – Blog post object #563837Hi
WP-Members support is behind a paywall and I would prefer not to have to spend 60 bones on it without any evidence that the issue is on their side. I expect they will just send me back to you, because if you look at the following points, it would appear its something in the theme:
1) WP-Members (including blog posts) restriction works outside of the theme
2) The issue is only evident when using one element to display blog posts… using the magazine element instead, but with the same scope, does not give the same issue
3) All other content is properly restricted
4) If I display a blog category that has no content in it, the WP-Members restriction remains in place.
5) If I use the post slider element, which also displays the same content but in a slider, it also works. I have updated my page with this for now as a workaround and may stick with it as it works pretty well… but would still like to fix the blog posts element issue.With this in mind, can you please do some more investigation and perhaps see if you can spot the difference between the code used to display posts in the magazine element vs the blog post element?
Thanks
Colin

Hi Elliott
I am not looking at changing the whole footer, just one widget in the footer. Is that possible?
January 11, 2016 at 6:37 pm in reply to: Conflict between WP-Members and Enfold – Blog post object #563411Hi has anyone picked this one up please?
January 11, 2016 at 6:35 pm in reply to: Custom opaque background for Special Heading element #563410I am not sure we are talking about the same thing. I do not want to change the opacity of my Header, i want to set the opacity of the heading style H5 and I also want the background to only be applied to the width of the text. If you look at the page below, I have changed the heading style H5 to display with a background in advanced styling, but it runs across the screen, not just behind the text. Also, there is no option to set opacity on that heading style.
Please advise
January 11, 2016 at 10:43 am in reply to: Custom opaque background for Special Heading element #563033Can you advise on the css to set the opacity for the background of the heading please? Also, if I set background in advanced styling, it makes the background full width of the window, where I only want the background to be as wide as the text.

January 10, 2016 at 11:08 am in reply to: Custom opaque background for Special Heading element #562686Hi
Sorry I was playing with the page and I removed the title temporarily. I have added a link to another one (the heading at the top is using H5). I have enabled the custom css field. However, given a choice I would prefer to set the behaviour of the heading as a default, rather than have to edit every special heading object, as I have used these quite a lot.
Please let me know the best approach and either way I am interested in understanding how to use the custom css class as this will be useful for other things.Thanks

December 22, 2015 at 12:33 pm in reply to: Need help with css for WP-Members registration confirmation #556488Thanks Elliott that worked. I have one other problem though – On the login page, there is a reset password link, which is partially overlapping the login button. You can see this on any of the members pages when not logged in. Can you give me a quick bit of css that would fix that by moving the forgot password / reset passwd link down a touch?
Thanks

Hi
Great thanks. It looks like its almost there, just one thing looks a bit out.. this text appears along the top bar and still seems to be scrunched over to the side. Not sure if this is from the same effect or as designed in the other plugin?
“This content is restricted to Redhill Archers members. If you are an existing user, please log in. New users may register below.”
Can you try this one? I just tested and it worked for me so should be ok!

Oops sorry done
Sure no problem..see attached
Hi yes that did it thanks!
I have another issue with a conflict between the theme and another plugin and how it displays a page… Should I raise a new ticket for that or can you help me with this? The page is attached. The issue is caused whenever I add a full width element to the page (eg a colour section or full width slider). It then seems to mess up the formatting of this login / registration page and even when I back out the elements, it does not look right afterwards.
The plugin we are using is WP-Members
Ah ok I see the issue… its actually the label colour for the fields that I want to change, not the text within the boxes… Should this code also be changing the spacing between fields?
Thanks
Hi
This did not seem to make any difference. To confirm, I added:
#top .main_color .input-text, #top .main_color input[type=’text’], #top .main_color input[type=’input’], #top .main_color input[type=’password’], #top .main_color input[type=’email’], #top .main_color input[type=’number’], #top .main_color input[type=’url’], #top .main_color input[type=’tel’], #top .main_color input[type=’search’], #top .main_color textarea, #top .main_color select {
color: red;
}
.avia_ajax_form p { margin-bottom: 0; }Then saved / reloaded a page with contact form. It looks the same though.
