  • Hi Vinay.

Added note; This problem even applies to videos directly uploaded to the website Media Library. They will not load as color section backgrounds either. When will you give us instructions for rolling back to 4.5.7?

    Thanks,

    Cliff

    Hello Vinay.

Thank you for your response. We totally LOVE Enfold and everyone there in Support who have helped us so well in the past, but we MUST have the same rollback opportunity that you have already provided to other Enfold users, e.g. #1133137. Please see comments in private section. Please also note that our question to Kriesi about why the Cookie opt-in message is appearing on all pages still goes unanswered. Reread our original ticket and you will find it.

    Thanks,

    Cliff

in reply to: Manage size of (Vimeo) video in color section #1132091

    Hi Mike,

Thanks! Didn’t know about PostImage. Cool resource.

The PostImage link I’ve included in the Private Content is to a 3 image gallery – filenames show the browser view setting for each image. Was in Chrome; does the same in IE11 and Edge – we don’t have Firefox.

I’ve also included a temporary Administrator Username & Password and a link to the page in question if you want to look at the web page structure. The same problem occurs with all of the other pages on our site that have videos as backgrounds in the first color section.

Notes about the page in question:
The first color section, “Headertext-LS”, has the video as background.
The second and third color sections, “Header-SSC” and Headertext-SSC”, are for mobile devices
The fourth color section, “spacer1”, is where we are trying, so far unsuccessfully, to put a set distance between the header (1st color section) and the color section (“whatshere” and everything else after it) that comes below the spacer for non-mobile screens.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Cliff

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for your reply. It is happening consistently, with us and our users. A whole variety of browsers, in different cities. Is there any way we can send screen shorts?

    Thanks,

    Cliff.

    Hey Mike!

Thank you again. Solution works! I’ve included in the private content the key line of code that has the link as we have modified it; the link is appearing on desktops and laptops but not smaller screen sizes. Whether green is the right color … well … we’ll decide that after a glass or two of wine … :)

Your lunch awaits anytime you get here!

    Best,

    Hi Mike,

Again, thank you. A problem has arise regarding the original solution you provided for the link in the header.

On smartphones or equivalent small screens, the link text appears over the (left side) logo rendering a confusing page-top for the website visitor.

Ideally, the solution would be for the link text NOT to appear at all on small screens, rather than trying to squeeze it in there – too stuff for people to read.

So, is there a way to limit the link’s appearing so that it shows only on larger screens – maybe some code equivalent to the way we can set Screen Options in various elements?

In the meantime, in the functions.php file (In Enfold Child!), we have commented out the code you provided but have kept it in place.

Again, thank you…and if you are ever in Washington DC, lunch is on us!

    Best…CB

    Hi Mike,

No apologies necessary for any delay. Good things take time. We value your help a lot. This worked perfectly.

One more question: to the right of the hamburger menu, there is a header top-to-bottom grey separator line. Is it possible to put one of those to the left of the Search icon (i.e. to the right of the link we are adding in)?

Thank you again for your help.

in reply to: Accordion Elements Making Other Page Elements Disappear #1065551

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for this follow-up. We had turned off the Administrator password just hours before you checked thinking that you folks were really busy. We’ve turned the Administrator status back on for you if you have the time to poke around; the password is still the same (see Private Content below). We had also found a workaround – perhaps not the most elegant – where we have used page include elements to cobble together the home page. We also understand that if a broken HTML tag (or any flaw) is in one page and we use that page as a template, that bad DNA will be carried over to the template etc etc. We’ll follow your instructions about saving pages then previewing but have a question: does that apply to all pages or just ones where accordion elements are used? Also, are we correct in understanding that we cannot investigate where the broken code might be because it won’t appear no matter where we might look?

    Thanks,

    Cliff

Hi Rikard, thank you again. For sure you can close this! Wishing you all the happiest of holidays and the best for the coming year! Cliff

Thank you, Rikard. A perfect fix! Best, Cliff

in reply to: Two preloader images are appearing. #1007915

    Hi Mike,

As always, you folks are magicians! We tried the second option and put the following in General Styling > Quick CSS (Enfold Child) and it worked.

    #top .av-siteloader { display: none !important;}

So far, nothing else seems to have been affected, so all’s well.

Thank you very much, both for the solution and for responding SO quickly!

    CB

Mike, you are a genius … actually a double genius for working on a Sunday and answering this so quickly. Thank you. All seems to be working now; did you repair the code? And we will try the debugger for sure (the deaf will be leading the blind here, but we’ll figure it out…).

    All the best,

    Cliff

Appreciate your efforts. We’re marketers, and a whole lot of focus groups have confirmed how critical closing expanded text is for keeping people on a given website. The concept can be found with the “collapse-o-matic” WordPress plugin, but that plug-in has its own problems. We encourage you to build this into Enfold.

in reply to: Icons in Icon Element Tiny after upgrade #926648

Hi Rikard…Thank you for this solution. It works! We changed the pixel size to 30px and the results are great! Again, thanks! Cliff

Ditto for this page – requires no log in: https://www.npafe.org/the-right-performing-artists/

in reply to: Icons in Icon Element Tiny after upgrade #926195

    Hi Mike,

Thank you. See private content for username/password. However, you can see the problem right on the home page: top right, check out the “search” icon. Also, when you go to Artist Login (see towards bottom of main hamburger menu), the login page has an icon (file drawer) that is also tiny. They are set to 40 px; changing the pixel size does nothing.

    All the best,

    Cliff

We should have added: our question applies ONLY to the basic ENFOLD settings, such as general styling or advance styling, not to element settings inside pages, which we understand are driven by the basic ENFOLD settings. Thanks.
