January 29, 2018 at 5:16 pm in reply to: Instagram Widget is slowing down page speed enormously (acc. Google Insights) #904321Hi,
yes I am using the plugin “Instagram Feed” now and not the Enfold widget.
But check out the test page I set up (link in private content), where basically only the Enfold instagram widgets are shown (no other content).
On this test page the Google PageSpeed Insights rating is only 55(!!) for desktop .
On other pages/articles where I use the above mentioned insta-plugin (instead the Enfold widget) generally I get a rating of more then 80 for desktop.January 27, 2018 at 12:03 pm in reply to: Instagram Widget is slowing down page speed enormously (acc. Google Insights) #903648I tested the following 2 instagram-plugins for this porpouse:
– Instagram Feed
– Instagram Feed WD – Instagram Gallery“Instagram Feed WD” has similar bad results in the Google PageSpeed Insights as the current Enflold widget but “Instagram Feed” seems to solve the problem.
So I am using “Instagram Feed” now for my purposes but actually I would be happy to use the Enfold Widget again when the problem is fixed.
Please let me know if there is going to be a fix.January 26, 2018 at 1:41 pm in reply to: Instagram Widget is slowing down page speed enormously (acc. Google Insights) #903375Hi,
I had a closer look at the image quality by changing the insta-widget setting.
With the naked eye I cannot see any difference in size or quality between thumbnail, small, large or original.
Also google insights speed test always shows the same recommendation (see here).
(I always cleared the cache between test.)So I really think that the widget always shows the same photo size and quality, independently of the settings.
January 16, 2018 at 11:50 am in reply to: Instagram Feed showing text and not loading images #897989Hi,
replacing the code didn’t work for me, but I just changed the photo size from small to large, and it was solved.

Same problem on my site!
Hi Basil,
the code in your link is aiming to exclude all pages from WordPress search results, what I want to do is to exclude specific pages (by id).
And I already tried several things I found via google such as:
https://wp-dreams.com/forums/topic/exclude-specific-pages-in-search-results/
but non of them worked. Don’t know why, if you have an explanation I am happy to hear it.
The only thing I found which works is this plug-in , but I actually would prefer a php code, since I never know how plug-ins affect my page.
So if you have a solution I am happy to hear it.BR
Hi,
I would like to join this discussion, because I am trying to achive the same as descibed above by doug123:
For example: one tooltip/marker description is open. I would like it to close when I click a different marker. so that only one tooltip/marker description is open at a time.
I tried the solution provided by Ismael, but it is not working for me:
After changing the shortcode.js as described above, the toolbox is not appearing at all, only the information from the address field appears as a mouse hover effect.
(mylogin-data in private content)What I need is, that always only one toolbox is open, and that the toolbox closes itself when I click on another marker.

FlorianThanks a lot Victoria!!
That worked perfectly for the categories I want to exclude!And how can I exclude specific pages (with id) from the search?

December 5, 2017 at 2:02 am in reply to: Menu is overlapping the logo when resizing the screen #884899Hi,
the social icons should have the same size as the menu icon and the search icon.

FlorianDecember 4, 2017 at 11:26 pm in reply to: Menu is overlapping the logo when resizing the screen #884857Thanks Yigit!! I was looking for an option like that, but couldn’t find it… :)
I tested it on my iPad and it works fine for the menu, but it turned out that the social icons shrunk down in size (see here).
How could that be solved?

December 1, 2017 at 10:45 am in reply to: Remove time (but not date) from the Enfold Latest News Widget #883809Hi Yigit,
with this code time and date is removed, but I want to keep the date (and just remove the time).

FlorianThanks a lot, works perfectly fine!

November 27, 2017 at 1:08 am in reply to: Transparent Background for Special Heading in Colored Section (only behind text) #882063Hi Mike,
I bypassed the problem now by adding a section background overlay with Overlay Opacity.

FlorianHi Ismael,
that works now, but how can I apply this code only for one site-id or one defined custom-CSS-element?
(I have some cases where I want to keep the standard background-color.)Where exactly in the code do I have to add the .page-id- or .custom-CSS for this case?
BR
FlorianHi Ismael,
Thanks for your Input!
Point 2 is solved but unfortunately point 1 it is not working as I want.The given CSS-code is addressing all input fields on the whole page, but I actually just need the white background for one signup-box (the rest of the input fields should be stay grey).
As you see here just below the newsletter box there is a contact-field where I want to keep the grey background.How can I target the code only for the newsletterbox?
I defined a custom-CSS for the mailchimp code-block but it did not work (I am not sure how to put it in the quick CSS), the following did not work:
..custom-CSS #top.main_color input[type='text'] { border-color: #ebebeb; background-color: #ffffff; color: #919191; }
Looking forward for your help.

FlorianHi,
thanks for your constant support!
I would really appreciate to get your input on these 2 still open issues:
So only the following 2 issues are still open (as already descibed above):
1. My newsletter signup-boxes have sometimes a white background as shown here and, sometimes a grey background as shown here.
In the case with a grey background I would like to change the background color of the input fields to white (in order to have a contrast between background and input fields).
But since I use the mailchimp-plugin I can not targed the fields with#element_avia_0_1 input, #element_avia_1_1 input {
background: gray !important;
}
2. Is it possible to keep the checkbox together with the related text in one line in case of a line break? (see here what I mean).BR
FlorianHi,
I solved the problem with the ipad-resolution in the meantime by changing the used layout element from a 2/3 column to a 3/4 column.

FlorianHi,
unfortunately I dicovered another problem with the newsletter-signup box.
The CSS-code above proposed by Ismael seems to be fine for the desktop but not on mobile devices as you can see here.I removed the sign-up form with the checkboxes from the main page now but I temporary keep it on my “start here” page (see link below in the private content area).
Please give me your feedback how to solve this.
BR
FlorianHello Mike,
“#element_avia_0_1 input, #element_avia_1_1 input” only works with the Enfold-sign-up-element, but I have to use the mailchimp-plugin because of the requirements I described in the earlier posts above.
See in the private content area an example where I want to use the newsletter-box with white input fields (at the bottom of the site).

FlorianHi,
I encountered the following issue:
I want to use the newsletter-box in different locations.
Sometimes with a white background as shown here and, sometimes with a grey background as shown here.
In the case with a grey background I would like to change the background color of the input fields to a white (in order to have a contrast between background and input fields).How can I do that?
(I already tried to do it by defining a custom css class and with following quick css, but also the submit-button was changed to a white background:)} .”CUSTOM-CSS-CLASS” input{ background: white !important; }
BR
FlorianNew update in this matter :)
I bypassed this problem by using a redirect to URL after successful sign-ups.
So it is solved for the moment, but I am still working on the whole newsletter build-up :)
Thank you guys for your support!BR
FloI solved that by using the MailChimp for WP Form widget that comes with the plugin.
But another thing is bothering me:
Using the mailchimp plugin instead of the enfold-integration, the form message for being “Successfully subscribed” looks not good at all:Here with the plug-in and here with the enfold-integration.
How can I spicy up the form message, e.g. by increasing text size, using bold text and/or with a frame around it.
BR
FlorianHi Ismael,
that worked fine, thanks!
I have another issue with the checkboxes:
I want to make sure that at leaset one topic/checkbox is selected.
I succsesfully integrated that little script here, which works fine for the upper box, but does not work for the sidebar.What is the problem?
BR
