I’ve completely rebuilt the site. Not sure if I will do the update of the site yet as I have no problems with editing using 3.5.2

January 5, 2017 at 7:07 pm in reply to: "Error fetching content" – Problem still exists on 3.8.4 #730015Hi Yigit,
I’ve cleared the caches but stil have the problem.
BTW – the problem is not that they don;t show up, it is that when I click to edit I get the error. Some sections will open up and others won’t. Example on one page the Code module cannot be opened up but on the same page the Text file can. On another page one text section can be opened up for editing and the other one on the same page can’t be accessed.
Could you please log in again and visit the link I have attached and then click on any text box and tell me if it works OK?
Thanks.

January 5, 2017 at 6:05 pm in reply to: "Error fetching content" – Problem still exists on 3.8.4 #729988I have already deactivated many of the plugins on the site to try and isolate the cause. One thing you could check is the version of the theme. It shows the latest in the updates TAB but when I tried to update it to the current version a few weeks ago it failed a few times, so maybe the version did not update correctly?

Alan
Try disabling the latest Yoast SEO plugin if you have updated it today ;)
If you have updated Yoast SEO today that is most likely your problem :(
And also affecting Divi by Elegant Themes
Hi Yigit,
That did the trick – thank you :)
@gernr
It’s actually called Monarch from another theme provider which I don’t think I should mention here :)
I also love Enfold and this is my first creation and quite basic site…
Thanks for the suggestion. I may have to rethink the menu plan then because some of the top links are important to be viewable.
UPDATE – I have added the CSS and will now wait until the cache
gets cleared before testing again.- This reply was modified 9 years, 9 months ago by Calcite.
This reply has been marked as private.Hi Yigit,
After trying that I decide that the 700 px width with your first fix actually looks best so I am going with that :)
Many thanks of for your help. I’m a beginner so hopefully I have not made any crazy mistakes with the theme, but just in case I am using the child theme ;)
Regards,
Al

Hi Yigit,
Unfortunately it did not make a difference.
Hi Yigit,
In the linked image I would like the text width (currently 800px) to be set at 640px.

Hi Elliot,
I have tried that but its not really what I’m trying to achieve. I want to keep the sidebar at about 30% of the total width and then limit the image and text width in the main content area to about 640px width.
Is that possible?
I don’t have a live server at the moment but will have in the next few days.
October 27, 2014 at 11:24 pm in reply to: Update instructions for creating a child theme's functions.php? #341849Thanks Tung Do, that makes sense, but having made several costly mistakes in the past I always back up the entire site on the server before any radical changes ;)
October 27, 2014 at 8:39 pm in reply to: Update instructions for creating a child theme's functions.php? #341762Excuse the basic question on Child theme but as a new user of WP and the Enfold Child theme I would like to ask is there any special requirements when Enfold is update? I assume one can just update the theme in WP admin and any new core features will be automatically available in the child theme?
Oh BTW I have not mentioned it yet but having used Dreamweaver, and lately Rapidweaver I have found Enfold and WP to be a great package and Enfold so intuitive. You guys have produced a 1st class product and back it with support :)
October 18, 2014 at 9:52 am in reply to: Advertising Widget in sidebar – want to change size and number of adverts #337658Hi Josue,
Thanks for the info. I actually want to stack the adverts vertically, maybe 5 or 6 ads in a column 190 px wide.
I’d like to add some fonts like this to the footer too, but have no idea how to insert the correct code in the Footer Widget. Any tutorials or instructions anywhere?
UPDATE – found a way to do it after searching – Mods please delete this post if you wish.
