Srishtithanks a lot Victoria! I explored the “Portfolio Items Base” and “portfolio category base” in addition to “Category base” and now it seems satisfactory.
I have my blog posts under blog and portfolio under portfolio :)
Haoever is it possible to have something like: %portfolio-category% so that the items fall into their relative category as they are shown on the permalinks? SAnd secondly, how about portfolio sub-categories? Is it possible to have sub-categories and how to show them, is it possible to have one page that shows all the portfolio items and a drop down to select the categories? Thanks so much for the direction!!!! :D -

 Hello Basilis, Hello Ismael,
The css is still not working properly.
When I apply any of the above suggestions, the arrow goes away but a semi-transparent white glaze goes over the image. I would just like the image to do the zoom on hover when it is a link. and no overlay at all..
Please take a look at the website,
 thank you!-

 Hi Basilis,
I am sorry, that did not work :( I did a hard refresh but still showing the big arrow.
I would like it to show the image zoom when it is a link, otherwise nothing fancy should happen, And I would like to get rid of the big arrow.

 Hello again,
So I have been trying to debug this problem of the image getting swished to the left and the product summary getting squished to the left. I started inspecting the elements with chrome and this is what I came up with:When I view the product with the cart page, ie, when I view a particular product, say cards, just on the shop page (not a portfolio, but just as the woocommerce shop page) it looks really nice and clean. I noticed that the the div.summary and the div.image have a styling overriding it called .template-shop
 for the summary:
this class overrides the float:right; width:48%
and replaces it with width:100%; float=none; padding-bottom:10px;for the image:
this class overrides the float:left; width:48%
and replaces it with width:100%; float=none; padding-bottom:10px;But when I view the code behind on the portfolio page that is calling the [product_page] shortcode, this .template-shop has not been applied in the case of using a shortcode. How can I make sure/what css and where to add it to make sure I get this style applied to the page when I am using a shortcode? Please please help so I can go forward with my website.
 I really appreciate your work!
 Thank you

Hello, I am having the same problem. My portfolio items are under the category blog!
 here
I would just want it under portfolio.
 Thank you for any help
 SrishtiHi Basilis,
It is not a problem, I would just link to not see the big arrow that shows up when you hover over an image that has a link.
Also is it possible to have a drop shadow around the images?
 thanks a lot
