After much frustration of having the TinyMCE buttons be there when I opened the text block on a page or post then have them disappear after saving the page. Well I finally have a solution. It appears there was a conflict with Page Builder by SiteOrigin plugin. I had been using the plugin before installing Enfold. after deactivation of the plugin everything was back to normal. Since this is the only site that I had both Enfold and Page Builder by SiteOrigin plugin installed it took me a while to figure it out.
I hope this helps someone else who runs into the problem.

Hi victoria, this is what I want to have it look like. but getting to this point by adding the media to the post adding the featured image then turning off the featured image is a lot of extra steps. Yes thats the problem sometimes they are there usually at first then they go away.. and don’t come back. This is the only site it does that. the front page is the only page I’m using the AVIA builder so far since I just installed the theme. on this domain. The other domain using the theme is on the same server, mine and I’ve never seen this problem.

I want to remove the title that is above the date and category (breadcrumbs). The one below the photo is the one I put in the text, I know how to delete that one.

I want to hide the title in the header and just leave the breadcrumbs. I have turned off title on the post. I have also done the same in the theme options no love. I guess I could post the tile under the image and not have it in my text body but then the breadcrumbs would also be under the image. and I would prefer them to be at the top.

sure let me set you up. thing is the theme on the subdomain on the same server, the settings are the same for both installs so I doubt that’s it. something I did notice now, is when I open the text block after refreshing the page the tinyMCE is there. after the page sits for a while and I come back its the minimal interface. Give me a little while to set you up an account.

OK so this is now very weird. when I saw the tinyMCE interface yesterday I was copying text over from the page I created in siteOrigin page builder.
So first I checked again and the interface was the simple one.Then I opened up the siteorigin Editor, then while it was open I opened the text block in the AVIA builder and the tinyMCE interface was back in AVIA text Block.Im confused.
BukoOK this is really weird now I thought I had all my tinyMCE buttons but I just made a new text block and they are all gone I’m back to minimum controls. Any help is appreciated.

OK this is really weird I have not done anything different I just came back and all my buttons on the text editor are there. Not quite sure how but I’m not going to argue about it. I wish all my problems were solved this easy.

The issue seems to have solved itself. the original page was made using SiteOrigin Page Builder. It was this page that was displaying the unwanted feature image. after recreating the page with AVIA Layout Builder everything is as it should be.

Maybe this is a good thing after googling some more I discovered that the latest version of layerslider does not work with PHP7.2
The older version seems to work fine.
I found this in documentation:
Sometimes the plugin may still show a new update is available after updating Enfold. This is because after we release an update, a new version of the plugin will be released.
