April 5, 2021 at 10:36 pm in reply to: Logo image does not appear in the header section of the website #1292616
Hey Mike,
I’m not using any of the demos I’m creating the site from scratch (I really hope that is not the problem, you should not have to use the demos). It is not the “ENFOLD” logo (as you have above) that appears but the Kriesi “K” that appears (like in the menu of this page). I have replaced both as you have suggested and it is still there. Where is it even grabbing this logo from?I did not list a URL because the server is on my computer via MAMP so you cannot see it (you better not be able to see it… LOL!!!). I’m working in house before I put it up so things like this are worked out.
April 2, 2021 at 1:20 am in reply to: Mystery grey bar/line appears under slide show on Home page #1291919Ismael,
I could put back the items that were causing this issue so you can see what I’m talking about, if you like (since it is an easy fix). Note this did not happen before the update two builds ago.

DavidMarch 29, 2021 at 9:54 pm in reply to: Mystery grey bar/line appears under slide show on Home page #1291163Issue fixed but this brings up another question now.
What caused this grey bar/line was I had “single width column” that contained a “special heading” container, all within a “color section” container. Note neither had anything active, basically blank/no data. I’ve done this before (a place holder for future items) and this never happened until now.

Thanks Mike for your reply,
Yea this started (at least for me) some time last year and I have noted I’m not the only one with this problem. Yes my server does have internet access and in the past I was able to download all the demo information. Am I not sure what has changed.
I just stated that it was on my test server so that support would not ask for access because they/you cannot.
Thank you for the link, I will use it to download the images to the correct folder. From I can tell it should be:
wp-content/uploads/2015/07
Thanks again and I’ll keep you informed on how is goes.

David
Hi Everyone,
I found a very simple way to install GTM in Enfold using a plugin, I’ve included a link below that explains everything.
I could not believe how simple this was.Watch the video (the first part explains what to do on the Google side), it walks you through the entire process.
Enjoy (and hope this was helpful),
David
Hi Guys,
Sorry for taking so long to respond (I actually forgot after I found out what happened). Sorry for all of the mess this may have caused, the folks my client hired to “make his site more popular” did this (I want to kill them for not telling us… but that is another story). Thanks for responding to this, you can close this issue.
Regards,
David
Stupid stupid stupid…
Mystery solved, the STUPID company that my client hired for SEO cloned the wrong site (something about doing it for a SEM campaign) and did not tell either myself or my client what was going on. Any way I guess this could be a heads up for all that this kind of thing can happen. Sorry for any issues this may have caused the Enfold gang.
Regards,
David
October 14, 2018 at 5:14 pm in reply to: Accessing an Enfold page from HTML site, WP Enfold is located in a subdirectory. #1021246Sorry for taking so long to get back to you guys. I found out what the problem was, took about 10 minutes once pointed in the right direction. A friend saw how your theme was handling things differently. I finished the event page a few weeks now, client is happy.
Thanks…
September 22, 2018 at 10:06 pm in reply to: Accessing an Enfold page from HTML site, WP Enfold is located in a subdirectory. #1013150Hi Rikard,
That is all understandable but with that said… You guys have been very helpful to folks here (with me included) so to just get a response of “It’s time consuming and you need to hire a freelancer…” right out of the gate. All I’ve asked for is some idea (with a bit of detail) of what might be going on. It is not my first rodeo as they say and as I have stated another theme had no issues. So to ask if there are any special issues that your software may have with subdirectories should not be out of the scope of tech support. I’m thinking folks are going to try this.
I never said that you guys were responsible but more like asking “Is there some thing extra that needs to be done for your software to work.” Believe it or not I’m on your side, so to kinda get the brush off is not cool. We all know that every piece of software out there is different, that’s why I was ask how is yours different. Basilis’ response made it sound like your software does not do that (work with subdirectories without some extra coding to the software), which is fine if it does not maybe that could be on a future features list. You now make it sound like your software does work with subdirectories which is great! So what am I missing? I know I’m more then likely missing some thing, it happens. And that is all I was asking.
Best regards,
David

The other theme did it with little to no effort. Is there some type explanation for this Basilis? So there is no way to point to a subfolder. Well I was going to use this as an example for this client to upgrade to Enfold, guess that is now shot down.
Ok, thanks.
August 31, 2018 at 6:30 pm in reply to: Warning/error when trying to view page preview, preview does not display. #1004189Hi Rikard,
It has basically taken down the site so if you enter the following URL you can see the error message…
Let me know if you need higher level access to the site, thank God this is a test site so no worries.
Thanks,
David
So do I have to re-install the latest version of Enfold when this happens as well?
December 8, 2017 at 7:37 pm in reply to: Error after importing an Advanced Layerslider template from their store #886587Hi all,
I do need more help with this but I was under a major time constraint (two days was a bit too long of a wait sorry) to get it out for the client and I did it all by hand. Please keep this ticket open this issue really needs to be solved. I am currently running PHP version 5.6, I can update to version 7.0 if that will fix this problem.
I’ve run into another problem with Layerslider, images in the slide do not appear in the Chrome browser. I’m running Version 62.0.3202.94 (Official Build) (64-bit) of Chrome.
If you view this page (the opening page) in Safari or Firefox the gallery logo and “Local” (with “S.F. Bay Area Makers Featured Here” between the two “L”s) appears just fine. This is not the case in Chrome. I realize this could be another issue but this should not be happening regardless.
Regards,
David
P.S. I’ll give you access to another site that is having the same issues later today (12/8/2017)
You are talking about just installing Layer Slider alone, I did not do that. As my post clearly states I only upgraded Enfold (version 4.1.2).
So what is the solution if you only upgraded Enfold? Again, are there any issues with the upgrade that we should know about? Is there a way to go back to the previous version of Enfold, before these problems started?
As was stated on the other thread by SAdesignsUnltd, I’m using the Layer Slider version that came with the Enfold theme.
I updated to Enfold to 4.1.2 and I got the same error messages. Did the update load correctly, is it a Layer Slider issue? Are other things going to break in the theme?
Ismael,
Thanks for the css code.
As you make changes to various areas via the drop-down menu item and select “edit”, that area that was edited stays open on the page. So if you have made several different changes to one area say “main menu” and you select the “edit” button each time, another edit area of the “main menu” appears.
David
Ok… ok,
I figured out how it works now, so does it use the main menu font family by default? I do not have a drop down to change the font family so I’m hoping it is picked by default.
Is there a way to shorten the width of the drop-down area?
(I know that is another question)Thanks,
David
P.S. Does the advanced styling area just keep all of the edits on the page like that, I think that is what had me so confused. I selected the drop-down for sub level menu links and expected the view to change to show for that area only.
- This reply was modified 8 years, 2 months ago by bellard.
Hi Elliot,
I’m looking at the Advanced Styling for Main Menu sub level Links, all changes I make effect the main menu items and not the drop menu items. There is not a section listed that states it effects the drop-down/submenus/sublevel links. There are four sections that all state that they deal with the Main Menu links, the other section deals with H3 tag.
This is a bit confusing.

David
August 20, 2016 at 5:33 am in reply to: Color Section, full screen background video freezes in Safari #674917Hey All,
Well I got things to work, I switched over to Vimeo. I’m not sure what is wrong with YouTube (I used the very same video file types m4v/mp4) but for some reason things are working with Vimeo. As I had stated earlier the site is in the testing phase where it is now on a local server. I was trying to get info on what version of browser and other software was being used by the support team but never received that info so I could try to track things down (oh well).
As I work/learn Vimeo I’ll figure out what they do different than YouTube, as soon as I figure that out I’ll report my findings… stay tuned.
Regards,
David
Hey Laurent,
That has happen to me as well, what I have learned to do is just to reload the page (sometimes twice). Then it will show that an update is available for Enfold.
I hope this helps,
David
August 16, 2016 at 6:41 pm in reply to: Color Section, full screen background video freezes in Safari #673370Hey Andy,
As I stated it is on a local server via MAMP at this point. What version of Safari are you running? What video are you using?

June 22, 2016 at 6:18 pm in reply to: On the iPad in landscape mode the menus overlap the logo on left hand side #652321Vinay,
The only other code I have is in Quick CSS:
.avia_desktop.avia_transform3d .av-masonry-entry.av-masonry-item-loaded .av-inner-masonry{
-webkit-animation: none; /* Safari 4+ */
-moz-animation: none; /* Fx 5+ */
animation: none; /* IE 10+ */
}That is to handle (turn off) the animation of the masonry tiles. I removed the code and still have the same issue. I’m including a copy of the custom css file, I have not changed anything there.
/* Have fun adding your style here :) – PS: At all times this file should contain a comment or a rule, otherwise opera might act buggy :( */

June 22, 2016 at 3:17 pm in reply to: On the iPad in landscape mode the menus overlap the logo on left hand side #652145Ismel,
Open the site http://www.abramsclaghorn.com in Screenfly, resolution set to 1024 x 780 (landscape mode). If you look to the right of the menu icon you will see a menu list that runs vertically.
*Home
*Exhibition
*News
*Fine Art
*Functional Art
*Call for Artists
*Contact
*ShopIt also appears in iPad Peek and on several iPads.

June 20, 2016 at 5:58 pm in reply to: On the iPad in landscape mode the menus overlap the logo on left hand side #650975Yigit,
I used the second link/solution you suggested, thanks. The only issue now is that when you open a page with menus, a listing of the menus appears on the right side of the menus icon. How do I set it so that listing does not appear when you view the page?

David
June 16, 2016 at 10:45 pm in reply to: On the iPad in landscape mode the menus overlap the logo on left hand side #649442Hi Basilis,
Using screenfly on the default view of 1024 x 768, this is were I have the issue with the menu and logo overlapping. This would be the size of the iPad mini I do believe.
David
Hi Rikard,
I have pasted the information from the other issue into the private comment below.

David
Rikard,
I did not add the easy slider videos to the page due to the fact that it was failing during testing (via the preview changes button). I was assuming that if it failed in “testing” that it would not work if loaded to the page.
Thanks,
DavidMarch 4, 2016 at 7:39 pm in reply to: Advanced Layerslider, video will continue to play after slide show starts up #593478Rikard,
I have included the requested information and instructions below.

DavidFebruary 18, 2016 at 7:58 pm in reply to: Advanced LayerSlider 5.6.2 lost styles in Enfold 3.4.7 and cannot save styles #585633For some time now when I open Advanced LayerSlider I see a message stating that there is a newer version 5.6.3, will this fix the problem? If so can we download this from somewhere? It appears that this feature is bundled with Enfold so as stated in the update message we need to request this upgrade from you the theme author.
October 5, 2015 at 7:59 pm in reply to: How can I disable the masonary gallery + portfolio animation? #514035Hi all,
I think I found some code on another thread here that works.
.avia_desktop.avia_transform3d .av-masonry-entry.av-masonry-item-loaded .av-inner-masonry{
-webkit-animation: none; /* Safari 4+ */
-moz-animation: none; /* Fx 5+ */
animation: none; /* IE 10+ */
}.av-masonry-entry {
opacity: 1 !important;
visibility: visible !important;
}Let me know if it work for you sophiamavrides.
