Strange that is broke when updating by copying files over the existing. but a full removal of the folder and new upload seems to have fixed it.

I did get this resolved with a full theme removal and upgrade to the latest version. Not sur what was going on honestly.
This does seem to clear things up – should I assume we need to install this on all of our sites running enfold?
This all seems like a ton of work when all I really need to be able to do is insert an image into a table. Maybe the tables in the advanced editor are just not like normal tables and are very restricted in there use.
So you are saying I need to post the code given above as short code using the debugging editor? Because I have not made any new short codes myself that I know of I am just trying to use what is out of the box in the theme. That way if it is updated I do not have to worry about fixing custom code in the theme that could break on updates.
