No, updating files through ftp, does not loose your Enfold setting.
The issues is on the update, so you need to re-uplaod the files through your FTP.We are sorry your site is down, but the problem is also on your hosting provider, who caches the files and does not allow the update to run properly

We have added it to GIT, but we give prio to issues that are based on security etc.
Yoast is a third party plugin, is the priority is a bit low.

I Understand your issues, but that is not something we can take care actually, I am afraid.
The only thing is to actually modify the actions of the ALB, but that is not something we can help.Let her know that, if she touches something and makes issues with the site, she will have to pay for bring it back, that is any normal process.

You can edit the image from the text view and add a different alt tag to it, as Ismael suggested.
On the other hand, you can also target each image with some JS and do a different alt to it…I do not think that this is such a Enfold Issue, further more a Media Managment of WordPress, so better to open a trac issue there

The issue is with the way enfold is loading the font, is not so possible.
You can try create the same effect, with different columns and we can add a border, to match the effect.
